My experience at Rouse Eye Care has been phenomenal. I suffered with double vision, unclear color perception, depth perception, eye straining to focus, severe headaches, and distant sight problems for many years. I found my eyes were causing me to miss out and struggle with so many factors in my life. I had issues working my position of patient care, along with missing special moments with my children; I was unable to see their school performances from the crowd and I knew I needed help sooner than later. In the past I have had eye exams with no findings or helpful solutions. Dr. Craig was very thorough with his examination and testing, he listened to my concerns and was able to diagnose and treat for the exact issue I was dealing with. The prescription I received was exact on. The care I received with Dr. Rouse has and will help me be able to see all the things in life that mean the most to me. Moments that can only be treasured by sight and memories. I am very thankful. Dr. Rouse has also helped treat my children. My daughter is 8 years old and struggles with issues such as falling while walking even at a slow pace, walking into walls and doors. I know this sounds silly although she would always respond that "she didnt see the wall" or such. She was struggling with multiple eye issues just as myself, and prescribed glasses to wear full time which have helped her daily. My son Josh who is 9 has suffered since age 6 with sever juvenile migraines, since being treated and prescribed glasses his headaches have lessened in times per month and intensity. My 5 year old James was seen for his first eye exam by Dr. Rouse yesterday and was treated with the best care. He typically is not found of any Dr. Office although he did great with Dr. Rouse and his team. He was calm the whole time, and wishes to go back already. The staff at Rouse Eye Care center are very patient, kind, caring and knowledgeable. They are diligent and mindful of the patients. I received great care with the optical assistant whom help with testing, she was very mindful of my straining issues to perform all testing and helped keep me at ease. The front desk staff and the rest of the team were just as fantastic. I received great help from a team that helped choose glasses and pick out what was fitting and great for my face shape along with color and fashionable to my taste. The designer frames make for a great selection. Scheduling is always easy and billing problem free. I personally recommend Rouse Eye Care Center for all ages. I also recommend our patients to Rouse Eye Care. Thank you Deliah and Dr. Rouse for everything!

How can I describe my experience with the folks at Rouse EyeCARE to people who have never been there before? How do you explain what exceptional service is to someone who has never received it. I would have better luck describing the color blue to a blind person. But I will indulge you, the reader. The year was 2007. I was relatively new to Lacey and found myself in dire need of glasses. I contacted my insurance carrier and they gave me the contact information for Dr. Rouses practice. I called and scheduled an appointment. They were polite on the phone. Personable. I let it slide. I had partaken in this song and dance before. I had gone to a larger, chain clinic before. They would lure you in with their honeyed words and hollow smiles and before you knew it, you were little more than a number. I was determined this time. I wouldnt get burned again. But when the time came for my appointment, I found that the honeyed words were much more. No droning musak was being piped into the waiting area. Sure, they had a Highlights magazine or two, but no one had gone through and solved the Hidden Picture puzzles. Its almost as if they brought out new magazines just for me. I indulged in some idle chit chat with the staff and found that they seemed to actually enjoy talking to me, instead of just tolerating it. It was then that I knew what I had happened across...I had found a home (for my optometrical needs). Since that first encounter, every subsequent encounter has been better than the last. Seven years and almost as many pairs of glasses later, I still eagerly await my visits to Dr. Rouses clinic. I feel like it is my civic and moral responsibility to share my experiences with others so that they too may feel the same way that I have. I havent so much found a eye doctor, Ive found an eye family. If you are looking for a good, family-run clinic, look no further. In all aspects of professional courtesy, the fine people at Rouse are exceptional and above all others; supreme. And if you needed any other evidence to convince you of how awesome this place is, consider this. The table with their equipment spins. IT SPINS!

Going to the eye doctor is something that I used to dread, as I have never felt that my past eye doctors have accurately addressed my vision issues. With one eye near-sighted and the other far-sighted, an astigmatism and problems focusing, my previous doctors have settled with a "good enough" prescription. This all changed when a co-worker recommended that I go to Dr. Rouse. Every staff member that I have worked with was incredibly friendly and helpful and kept me fully informed of what to expect in terms of wait times, dilation and what exams would be taken during my appointment. During my exam with Dr. Rouse, I was so thankful that he actually asked me questions outside of the standard "which is better, one or two? Two or three?" For the first time in my life, my eye doctor addressed the issue that I have difficulty focusing on objects - especially moving objects. Prior to meeting Dr. Rouse, Id figured that Id have to live on in a slightly blurry, out-of-focus world. He added prisms to my lenses, which no other eye doctor has done and for the first time, I can actually read street signs as I am driving. Not only that, but my eyes dont feel so tired at the end of the day. In more than 15 years of wearing glasses, I was impressed and thankful that one of their eye glass experts was so hands-on in selecting my new frames. She really took time to ask what I felt comfortable with and considered the features and shape of my face and my skin tone while helping me select new frames. I absolutely love the pairs she helped me choose and I regularly receive compliments on them. I am an extremely satisfied patient of Dr. Rouse and have recommended them several times. Oh and did I mention that I live in north Tacoma? Theyre worth the drive. Youll be in good hands if you choose to see Dr. Rouse and his wonderful staff.

I am probably an optometrists worst nightmare. I have had two surgeries on my eyes since infancy with multiple other eye diagnoses. The reason I am writng this is to tell everyone that you no longer have to accept mediocirity. When I think how long I accepted wearing an ill-fitting set of contacts from multiple different providers, I am angered. They always told me that the lenses were the best fit even though my contacts would rotate with each blink. I finally got to the pooint where I wouldn’t wear them at all. I happened upon Rouse EyeCARE by chance because it was local. Given what I know now about the patient-care and level of expertise at Rouse EyeCARE, I would drive for hours knowing that my visit would result in the best fit, trendiest, most thorough eye exam that I have ever had. I was amazed at the cutting-edge technology and thoroughness of the eye exam. Dr. Rouse was able to tell me about my eye history just through examination. He knew about my rare diagnosis, he knew how I was going to compensate to get through the exam, he knew how my eyes would tire easily, he knew what additional tests to run to find the best fitting eyeglasses and contacts. Thanks to Dr. Rouse and his staff, I now have a better understanding of my current eye diangoses, I have contacts that don’t rotate and equal the clarity of my glasses and I have a pair of glasses that I feel confident and trendy wearing. I will warn you to allow more than you would for the “drive-through” optometrists. This is not a typical 30 minute eye exam. Your eye health is more important to Rouse EyeCARE than serving high volume. They take the time to examine and fit you for the best fit. It is worth your time. You will be amazed at the difference a good pair of glasses/contacts make in your sight. There really is a difference!
