I recently moved to the Boise area from out of state and was looking for a reliable place to go for my eye care. I received a recommendation to go to Idaho Eyecare Center and I can honestly say that I will definitely be back and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new eye care office. Dr. Lauren Casavant was very friendly and truly interested in my eye care. The front desk personnel was very helpful. I had to reschedule my first appointment and they were more than willing to help me do that with no fuss. They also answered all of my questions regarding my insurance and what was covered. They even provided me with a print out of everything my insurance covered. When looking for prescription sunglasses, the lady that was helping me was very patient and helped me find the right frame for my face. Lets face it, its very difficult to find a pair on your own when your eyes are dilated and you cant see because you dont have your glasses on. Like I said above, I would highly recommend Idaho Eyecare Center!!

Idaho Eye center performed as needed-I guess. I was a little disappointed that they wanted to charge $35 on top the std eye appointment price to take a picture of my eye. I declined the picture due to the price and opted for the dilation. I am glad they didnt have the same policy for all the other equipment that was used during the exam. In the end, I was given a printout that I could not read due to the dilation. I was not told of any specifics during the exam, though I could read every test chart but one. I assumed the paper contained statistics related to my appointment, but sadly no. So after all was said and done I am not exactly sure how my eyes compare to others my age or to ideal eye sight/health. I was offered to purchase reading glasses or bi-focals if I felt I needed them. And I was encouraged to return more regularly because I have good insurance. Is is just me, or do we live in a country of scammers?

The staff is always so nice. When I went in the last time I had some pretty outdated frames, and lets face it, how well can you pick out decent frames when you cant see what they look like without your glasses. Its a challenge to say the least, however they worked with me for about an hour checking out different styles and colors that fit my face and worked well with my overall look. Ive never had more compliments on a pair of glasses, and I love them too. They were patient, and wouldnt let me leave there until I was happy and stylish. They even went as far as ordering two different colors when they ordered so I could pick which one I liked the best. Because of that, I sent all my friends there. Ive never had a bad experience, and I did not feel like just another number. Ive been wearing glasses since the 2nd grade, and this is by far the best place I have ever gone!

Every eye appointment I have had here, the optometrist I see has asked me investment advice knowing that I work in that field. During my last appointment I tried to make it very obvious that I was not there to provide free advice and that I was at an eye appointment - not work. I wear contacts and have a pair of glasses that I purchased before becoming a patient at Idaho Eye Care that I wear typically from the bathroom at night to the walk to my bed and vice versa so there is no need for me to buy a pair from them when I dont wear them. I went in and simply asked someone to look at the adjustment on them and I was told I would be charged for that service. I was appalled that I pay as a customer there AND I am irritated during every visit I make there to give free investment advice and they were unwilling to do that for me unless I bought glasses from them.

They _completely_ botched the eye exam. Said my childs vision was fine - no glasses needed. Referred to an opthamologist a few months later when the pediatrician screen (NOT even an optomitrist) came up with 20/50 sight. Opthamologist appt revealed off the chart astigmatism and told us to get her in glasses IMMEDIATELY - you have until age 7 to treat vision - if not corrected before then, the brain wont process a better image. Went back for the glasses because the ladies who fit the glasses are excellent - they didnt even rush the glasses.

I have been a patient at Idaho Eyecare Center for about 5 years. I buy my glasses here and go in often to get them adjusted. The optical staff are very friendly, kind and helpful. For my recent check-up, I saw Dr. Huber and was impressed. She told me all the conditions she checks for and the health of my eyes, with suggestions for protecting my eyes. I like the retinal scans they use, which means I do not have to get my eyes dilated. I would definitely recommend Idaho Eyecare Center for eye exams, glasses, or other eye care needs.

I had an eye infection and it finally got to the point I couldnt stand it anymore, I called their office because it was close to my work and they got me in within a couple hours. It was a very short wait, and the doctor was very knowledgeable. I was able to get a perscription and pick it up on my lunch break. I was very satisfied with the whole experience and how quickly they were able to help. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and will return their for my familys eye care.

This is hands down the best eyecare facility I have ever gone to. I dont say that lightly. I have a very strong farsighted prescription and have had trouble with my contacts fitting poorly for 25 years. Dr. Hall is friendly, personable, and great at what he does. My contacts fit great which means they dont flutter in the wind while skiing and boating. This has made my outdoor pursuits so much more fun! Thank you Dr. Hall and Idaho Eyecare for improving my quality of life!

Our family has been receiving eye care at Idaho Eye Care for 10+ years. They have always provided us with great care. Dr. Huber is new to the practice, but she is very thorough in explaining everything about the condition of your eyes as well as answering any questions or concerns. The optical staff is very helpful and friendly in working with you to find just the right eye glasses and in helping you make the most of your vision benefits. I highly recommend IEC!

Awful. They lied about what my insurance would cover to it had to come out of my own pocket. They tried to charge me for other things I dont need. This first time visit cost $300 more then it needed it. I will never recommend or go back no matter how nice one of the office ladys is. Please know your insurance exactly if you have to go to this place because no one needs an eye fitting exam that costs $150.

I have been going to Idaho Eyecare Center for about 13 years. I have always received quality and detailed care. Recently my son saw the young associate for an eye exam. She was patient and knowledgeable and related to him very well. I was so impressed with the quality of care he received. My whole family will be changing to Idaho Eyecare for all their eye care needs.
