It is hard o believe by your reviews that I go to the same place as some of you. I have been going here for several years. The staff has always been very helpful and courteous. Dr. Boan is my usual doctor. He is friendly, thorough, compassionate and makes me feel at ease. I have also seen Dr. Weeks. She is the same way. The staff have always taken the time to help me with questions, frames, contacts and anything else I need. They will give me their honest opinion if I ask if certain frames look good or not. I like that! I dont want someone who will agree with me to sell me something. They are a busy practice but I have never felt rushed by any of them. I made an appointment for my six year old granddaughter. Shes a little shy and this is her first eye exam. I know Dr. Boan will be great with her.

I give them a 2 star only bc I really like Dr.Weaks shes the only reason I continue to come. What has happen to work places enforcing good attitude an quality in the employees with consumers ?? Have they forgotten to treat people with respect bc thats how you have a check?? Ive yet to see employees act how it was demanded previously in the work place they come with attitude an it only gets worse an they still keep a job. Frames are also very out dated nothing worth chosing from.... Think Ill take myself an three children elsewhere. I suggest others do the same as their rating is horrible as I can see an its not going to get better.

I just called to set up an appointment. Ive been a patient before (several years ago). I have changed insurers and am now carried as a dependent on my spouses coverage. The office manager laboriously took all the insurance information over the telephone... then asked for my wifes Social Security number. What? Ive never been asked for this by any other medical service provider. The clerk said they pre-certified all their visits with "in vision" and that this was a "HIIPA thing." This is not a HIIPA requirement. What a load of bollocks. I told her Id find another doctor.

I had taken my 3 year old to get his eyes checked and the Doctor was great with him however, the staff is unfriendly, rude, and rushes you out. I ordered his glasses November 3rd, today is January 26th and we do not have them yet. Every time I call they get upset with me and tell me it will be another 6 weeks! Im not sure if they order glasses from china or what but there is NO excuse for the delay (did I mention I already PAID for the glasses??) I am starting to wonder if he really even needs them now and he asks about them everyday.

I called like two months ago to set an appointment, the staff was so rude, after transfer me three times and put me in hole several times, the start asking personal questions. ..like ss#,plece I work,where I was born... and other many stupid things they deny to see me...and then this week I got several calls to confirm an appointment that they never let me set up. They need to learn how to treat people and do their job right.... So sad!!

The service, staff and doctors are excellent. I just wish they had a better selection of frames. The selection is very outdated. My last visit I saw nothing that really appealed to me but i just made a selection because i needed my glasses. My contact lenses as well were not the best either. I need toric lenses and the brand or either my prescription just dont mesh very well.

This place is HORRIBLE. I made an appointment 3 weeks in advance for while I was on vacation at work. They couldnt figure out my insurance even thought I told them NUMEROUS times, all the information they needed. Even gave them the contact information for my insurance.. 2 days before my appointment, they FINALLY said they had it figured out..

I HATE going to a doctor where you sit in the waiting room until 15 minutes after your appointment time and then sitting in a room for 30 minutes waiting on a doctor. Not here. Very professional but punctual and organized. In and out in 30 minutes with no long delays. Thank you.

I have been seeing Dr. Boan at the Hickory office for many years. He is thorough and always well-versed on the latest developments in eye health. He listens to and addresses all my concerns. The staff are friendly and helpful. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I think this place is great. The staff is always very friendly and the doctors take time to talk to you and understand your needs. I have dry eyes and Dr. Weeks had me try on several pair of contacts to find the one that worked the best for me.
