My partner had a broken molar that had been causing her an extreme amount of pain for the previous three days. Her regular dentist had made an "emergency appointment" for her to come in for a root canal - however when she arrived the dentist that was going to perform it had already left for the day. My partner came home in tears due to the frustration of the experience coupled with the pain of her exposed nerve. This was on December 30th, 2015. I called and spoke to Stacey at Down To Earth Dental at 6:30PM that evening. Stacey was patient, sympathetic, and listened to me as I ranted about my partners regular dentist and I expressed my frustration at not being able to get her the care that she needed. Stacey asked if she could call me back in 20 minutes... 10 minutes later my phone rang - it was Stacey. Dr. Prato was more than happy to stay late (the clinic closed at 8PM that night) and help out. We arrived at 7:30PM and were quickly filling out paperwork. Shortly after 8PM we were called back and the clinic had emptied of patients and most of the staff had gone home. Dr. Prato and Stacey went over the options for my partners broken tooth. Youd never have thought that it was after hours - they were patient and went over our options. Ultimately we decided that an extraction was the best course of action. Despite the procedure taking a few hours, after the clinic had closed, we NEVER WERE RUSHED. Dr. Prato had the BEST bedside manner. He was genuine, caring, funny, and very easy to get along with. There was none of the attitude or arrogance that so often comes from doctors. Stacey was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and open. No kidding, by far the best dental team Ive ever experienced. Because of their amazing customer service, willingness to go above and beyond for us, and for being so genuine, they are now our family clinic. I wish that I could find a general practitioner that had the same level of compassion and service as the team at Down to Earth Dental. Thanks so much to everyone there for helping my lady out - also, thanks to Laurie at the Tacoma Central clinic for referring us up to the NE Tacoma location. Seriously, you all are fantastic.

I have seen Dr. Nguyen-Tran and Dr. Brannan here and they are both amazing. I have a horrible fear of dentists and they work with me on that. I have dealt with Cora, Bao and another hygienist and they were compassionate, caring and knowledgeable as well. Lisa in the front office is phenomenal as well. I first came to this practice with a HORRIBLE toothache that required an emergency extraction of a wisdom tooth at 7pm on a Tuesday. Their office hours are great! Especially for people who have day jobs and a normal life. Dr. Nguyen-Tran was fantastic and personally called to follow up with me around 8pm a week after the extraction when I didnt call back to let them know all was well. They really exhibit great patient care.Dr. Brannan did my follow up visit and looked over my x-rays and recommended work to do and provided me options for taking care of my problems keeping my budget in mind. He also did a great job of reassuring me that my teeth and gums werent as bad as I imagined and that with regular check ups and cleaning I could turn things around for the better. He was happy to answer my questions and spend time with me after my exam instead of rushing off and letting the assistant explain everything. As much anxiety and dread I have with going to the dentist, they have bent over backwards to try and eliminate as much as they can for me. The level of care, excellent customer service and professionalism keep me coming back to take care of my dental needs.

The girls in this office made me feel so comfortable! I had a very thorough exam- plan on a few hours if its your first visit. Mine took longer because I had to get a filling and instead of having me come back, they did it right then and there! It was awesome and so convenient. They also molded a mouth guard for me to wear at night and explained that it could help with a variety of issues Ive been having (shifting teeth, popping jaw, grinding teeth.) Im so impressed! Side Note: I went to a dentist in Gig Harbor, a "jaw-specialist" last year because my jaw popping was getting unbearable. That woman suggested that I pay FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS for Invisalign and a few thousand more for a custom made mouth guard for me to sleep in at night. I had only complained about my jaw and made ZERO mention of my teeth shifting, as I actually like the look my teeth!!! Insulting!!! Down to Earth filled a cavity in my tooth, fitted me for a guard, and cleaned the crap out of my teeth, and the total was under $500. BEST DENTIST EVER.

Im one of those cliché people who hate the dentist. I hadnt gone in over 15+yrs because I remember as a kid it was very painful. Decided at that time I would simply not go again. Recently I got engaged and my fiancé convinced me it was something that had to be done despite my fear and reservations. I ended up needing a deep cleaning and decided to get it done on two appointments since the idea of doing it was pretty scary. I decided to use the nitrous to help ease my fears and the hygienist Bao was extremely friendly and helped to put me at ease. I honestly didnt feel anything!! Not once was I Im any pain or discomfort. So if youre like me and have been putting it off, go to this place, theyre friendly and when they say you wont feel anything its true. I couldnt recommend this place any more so if I tried, theyre amazing.

DTE dental in South Tacoma got me in same day, not only same day but they were able to double schedule me to get the cleaning that I needed done as quick as possible. The hygienist Christie was SO friendly and talked to me like a human, not a number. Dr. Peter was just what the companys name is "down to earth." The front desk staff (I think both were Laurie) were super nice and gave me all the details I asked about (I ask a ton of questions.) I think Laynee was the name of the assistant who did my fillings was really funny and nice too. I thought the prices were pretty good for what I had done as well. Everyone was confident and competent in their positions, the office was clean and I couldnt have been happier with the experience. I would definitely recommend them, and Im even bringing my young son to them next week.

My fear of the dentist has kept me from going to the dentist for way too long. I looked up dentists with great reviews and found Down to Earth Dental. I had my first appointment today and the whole experience was great. The hygienist Kayela was fabulous. The dentist Dr. Peter , was very thorough and honest. I am in need of extensive dental work so Im sure I will get to know them quite well in the next 6 months or more. The receptionists were great, they put me at ease from the start when I called to schedule my appointment. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Im looking forward to getting my teeth fixed so I can begin to smile and feel more confident.
