In contrast to some of the other reviewers here, I have been more than satisfied with Dr Stephen Nguyen and West Valley Dental. I have had extensive experience with dentists over the past three decades and I must say the Dr Nguyen has treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism. I first called for an emergency appointment for a possible gum infection. I was seen within 24 hours by Dr Le. I was seen on time, even though I was a last minute patient. Only one necessary x-ray was taken, and no infection was found, and no subsequent treatment was suggested. Dr Le was personable, efficient and professional. I then went there for an initial exam and cleaning. The proposed treatment plan was identical with the plan suggested by my former dentist of over 25years, who was not willing to work with my reduced income and was not willing to preform extractions. I needed an immediate upper denture and 4 extractions. The denturist that my former dentist recommended quoted $2500 for the immediate denture, not including the necessary extractions, with an additional fee of $1900 to $2300 after a year for the permanent denture. Dr Nguyen was able to preform the necessary extractions, which were mostly covered by my insurance with minimal cost to myself, and the immediate denture was $900, also mostly covered by my insurance. There will be a permanent relining done in six months, for I believe $250, which is more than reasonable. Beyond the price, I have found the level of care and courtesy from the staff to be exceptional. I have no idea if the previous reviewer is correct about the licensing of the staff, but I seriously doubt that this is the case. I found everyone that I dealt with at the office to be well trained and very professional. I have and will continue to recommend West Valley Dental to my friends and acquaintances seeking compassionate, professional and affordable dental care, and I will be forever grateful to my co-worker who recommended them to me.

1st - make sure to look at the age of reviews. :) I think that WVD took original reviews to heart as my experience with them was astounding. I had to make a "quick" appointment and they got me in within 24 hours and the gal on the phone was very nice. "Good Energy" :) On arriving for my appointment, the paperwork wasnt over the top and was applicable to a dental office! Very nice. The front staff was quick, efficient and even if you were waiting to check in/out, you felt acknowledged! Was seen by Dr Su (know its not spelled that way) ... and his energy and demeanor puts you into a point of believing that youre in the RIGHT Place. As he starts to work - the courtesy level, skill, quick, through and efficient exam was done without pain (astounding). The care needed was outlined with the billing staff (while still in the exam room) - modified to meet my right now financial situations and the 2 extractions I needed were done in less than 30 minutes. I will be returning soon for ALL my families dental care needs!!

Dr. Nguyen is very polite and likable. But he could not treat my molar at all. I needed root canal done since it started hurting badly. He started digging into my #31. First two roots were found and dug out within reasonable time and effort but he kept digging for another twenty minutes or so. He could not find the third and last root canal after nearly one hour of trying and digging. He finally gave up and referrred me to root canal specialist. I consulted this "root canal specialist" and was told that there is not much left with my #31 molar hence it is not worth saving.! Obviously Dr. Nguyen dug too much to the point it does not support anything. Isnt this called malpractice? I ended up extracting it and had to spend tens of thousands for an implant. Penny wise, Pound foolish!!

Have been a patient through several generations of dentists at WVD. Dr. Amber Kim was particularly skilled and gentle. Dr. Nguyen is quick, energetic and efficient. I was able to get two extractions and a partial plate done in the same day. I did have to have a prior appt. to get the molds made, but was able to do both in the same day. Very reasonable prices and they work with your insurance if you have it. Current staff are friendly, attentive and let you know what to expect. Highly recommended

I am 80 years old seeking a new dentist in the area. In my opinion, this office has to be the worst!!! Office staff, Un-Professional, Un-caring, money first, patient needs second. This is a sales office, not a professional medical office. Worst surgery I have ever experience in my life. Gave me no medicine to ease the pain while giving me a number of injections. Would not honor verbal follow up services included in procedure fees. Would never go back to this dental office!!!

Very recommended dentist. I had a tooth infection and needed root canal.. My insurance does not cover dental treatment so I was looking for a decent price and professional dentist, and I found both here . They were very up front with me about the procedure and payments and Dr. Kuzi Hsue performed an excellent work on my teeth. Hopefully I will not need to visit them again for those kind of reasons - but I will give them a good feedback if you are in need for a dentist.

Im delighted with the dental care I receive at West Valley Dental. The care is excellent. Everyone is friendly. The fees are reasonable. I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes. Ive never felt I was being "sold to". They take photos of any issues so I can see for myself whats happening, provide an easy-to-understand explanation, answer all of my questions, and outline my treatment options to I can make an informed choice.

I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen! I was visiting from another state and had to have a wisdom tooth out and a crown done. Dr. Nguyen was professional, most importantly gentle, and went out of his way to accommodate my vacation schedule.

I would also like to share my experience. My treatment took place last fall and did not solve my problem. I highly recommend seeking the care of specialist if special work such as a root canal is needed.
