Will no longer go here. Will never recommend this place to anyone. Will only give my experience of this horrible place going forward. This place used to be the best in the area. Then, I noticed little things happening like the wrong birth date on a kitten record which resulted in a rabies shot vaccine given a little too early. Took another cat here for an upper respiratory infection and after two different prescriptions of eye drops and one round antibiotics, and after a second visit, the doctor loaded the cat up with vaccinations, which made her recovery even more difficult. I heard someone state these will be the last vaccines the cat will need due to its age! How heart warming. And the last thing that happened was when I took a kitten to this clinic to have a routine spaying, and she died an hour afterwards. Never again.

With moving to the Lost River area a couple years ago, we were immediately in search of a good veterinary service for our Shiba Inu, then our only four-legged companion. Friends told us about Lost River Animal Hospital, so we set up an introductory appointment and well-dog check-up. From the first sniff our Shiba was right at home, and very happy to meet the staff and doctors. Since then, there has never been anything but excitement and pleasure from our Shiba when we say, "Lets go see your Vet!" And now, we have added a rescue Black Lab mix puppy to our home, and we have the same reaction from her as with our Shiba. They love everyone at Lost River Animal Hospital. The staff is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and just good people. As long as we live here, they will be our go-to Veterinary Service!

When my dog got really sick and needed surgery, every where I went tried to over charge me and run unnecessary tests. I had been to Lost River one time before and remembered they had surgical services and called. They knew immediately what was wrong with her and told me to bring her in. They took great care of my dog and only charged me what was necessary, saving me a good bit compared to others. When they would leave the room she would cry in her cage, so they even spent a little more time with her so she wasnt alone as much! They are so kind and gentle with my animals and us. I only take my animals to Lost River now, no matter how far it may be from home.

I have never loved a vet so much. Dr. Keplinger is such a wonderful doctor and the staff are just as wonderful! It feels like youre walking into a home and are meeting with family each and every time you visit. They have treated my dog and cat so well and i am proud to recommend them to everyone I meet who has an animal. They are so flexible with their appointments and give so much attention to every detail. I cant say enough positive things about this wonderful place and the wonderful staff that run it! =)

We have had the best experiences with Lost River Animal Hospital! Dr. Keplinger and her staff are caring and knowledgeable. I appreciate their constant availability. Any time I have called them after hours I have received a call back in no time. Even on a day when she was leaving to go out of town, Dr. Keplinger came in to the office to treat our cat who had fallen from a tree. Thanks so much for all you do in caring for our furbabies!!!

I just had a very bad experience with Dr. Keplinger treating my horse. She did get the material that was choking my horse out of her, but I believe she gave my horse to much sedative which resulted in the death of my beloved horse. My horse was a healthy big and strong horse and to lose her this way just broke my heart apart. I will never hear her whinnie or nicker for my attention again...........

We drive over an hour each way to take Shirleys Angels Boxer Rescues animals to Lost River Animal Hospital. The care and compassion they receive is amazing. I had a sick cat about a month ago and we received the best care there. Dr. Henshaw did an amazing job getting him back on his feet, even after surgery. He is now home and doing well. The entire staff there is wonderful! They are very caring and concerned about our furry, four legged kids!
