I had made an appointment to have my 16 year old dog put to sleep. We showed up for our appointment and they directed us to a room. Once in the room a vet tech came in and asked if we were there for shots. I was crying and could barley talk. They than told us they lost our file so we spent about 30 minutes waiting to get a new file made. This was very bad but the vet was nice so I was ok with it. This all happened on January 6th. On February 4th I get a bill from them for the euthanasia of my dog, date of service, Jan 24th. So I call and tell them I paid in full on January 6th when service was rendered. At this point in am really upset about everything and alls she can say is Im sorry. I dont want you to be sorry I want you to handle on of the most difficult days of my life with some professionalism. This chaotic mess is beyond my comprehension. They lost my file on the day of appointment, lost it again when I called on Feb 6th, but somehow had something inbetween to charge me again for something that was paid for already. I dont understand how they can be a legitimate business. Rest in peace Pickle I am sorry I took you to a bunch or morons for your last breath. I regret it fully you deserved better.

Its been about 2 years since I called them in a panic for assistance. We deal with the vets from the large breed side for our hogs. My dog had been very sick and needed to be put down. They made room for me as soon as a Doc got in and came out to the truck to put him down so I didnt have to move him. They were so nice and respectful, and like another post mentioned, sent a sympathy card. We were so impressed with them that our other 2 labs have gone there ever since. They are very caring, low priced and flexible. Our dogs are like our kids so we are very picky with Vets. They pass and will always be our Clinic of choice.

I took my two cats in to update them on their shots. My oldest cat is a gentle giant and he went first. He was a little fussy because he didnt like the smell of the ear cleaner. Instead of holding him by the back of his neck the vet tech put BOTH hands around his neck and still held him like that when he tried to get away. Then to call him a bad cat is when I decided I would NEVER take him to this vet again. Servers them right for getting scratched by my cat.

My wife and I love this place. We have 2 large dogs that weve been taking them there for about 5 years. They know how to handle them, nobody in the entire staff has ever been bias or prejudice against them and they even offered for us to randomly bring our dogs in for a visit when we first started going there so that the dogs could get used to the clinic. The staff is friendly and we would highly recommend them; weve never had a single problem.

I have three dogs and have taken them there ever sense Ive had them! They are honest and caring! When I bring my animals in there I can tell its not just a paycheck to them. Its very nice having such a great place to bring my dogs to! Would highly recommend bringing your pets to the animal clinic of Elkhorn!!!

Couldnt have had a better experience! Vet was extremely honest and didnt make us do unnecessary tests. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I will always go here even when it is over 30 minutes away.
