On the 3rd of February I took my baby Chloe to wonder lake vet. I had doctor Sara and she seen how up set I was my girl had some bruises on her tummy that we just noticed and she explained everything and made me feel so comfortable they took blood and the next day she called me very early around 8:30 and that was great cause I didnt expect her until around 10:30 but anyways she has some condition with her blood platelet counts and to continue with the meds up the predisone and to bring her back next wed. Well on Friday she went poop and it was black tar and I called and Dr Sara called me and took me to give her pepcid and that her condition with uping her meds might be the reason. I give Dr Sara 5 stars and very caring vet she sure went in to the right career. I took Chloe in on Sat Feb 11, 2017 and Dr. Sara was not working so we had to see Dr. Mehanovic. OMG he is the worst Doctor ever he shouldnt be working with animals. His personality is dry big time my opinion. For 1 he doesnt know Chloes history and he didnt take a look at it to be up to speed at least why she is coming in. She has been sick since Jan 2016 and almost every time we get Dr. Sara and she knows Chloes history. I so enjoy her and how she acts like Chloe is her only Patient and 2) Chloe loves her. I know I will get a call the next day with a update on her blood count. So in the future I will call to make sure Doctor Sara is there. My opinion Doctor Mehanovic should for 1) look at notes so he is up to speed with what the animal is there for and 2) at least look like he likes his job.. Finally at 5pm I called and I think the girl knew I was upset. So he got on the phone and I asked how her counts were and he said fine. WHAT I said the same as the last time he said alittle lower so I was confused. So on Wed I called and spoke with Dr. Sara and she explained everything and I felt better. BEWARE thats all I am saying (This is my own opinion.

Went in there 2 weeks ago to get my female fixed. 1st they tried to tell me one price then and another. And when I called to make sure on prices again, they told me I could pick her up at 5 that night. Already was late to work to take her in. Then when to pick her up the ladys at the desk had a big fit that I was there to pick her up cause "they keep females over night" they said. News to me, wasnt told that all but in all Im GLAD I didnt let her stay over night. She came home with Kennel cough. We called an complained and was told had to bring her in to get checked out n pay for it and meds... told them that we will take her some where else.... then the next day the doctor called and asking how she was doing cause he saw that we complained... it was nice of him to give us the meds for free but to hand them to us when no one was around... kinda fishy..... Also,Just found out today that my friends dog was in there 2 weeks ago to find out what was wrong with him n the doctor thought it was blastomycosis. Just did a test on him and said it was negative and now my friends poor dog went to another vet... to come to find out its blastomycosis and hes close to dieing... All cause of the wonder lake vet didnt wanna check the right stuff!. Please stay away from this vet. Go some where else!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - more than just a "VET" I have been taking my dogs to Wonder Lake AH and will never go anywhere else. The staff goes above and beyond EVERY time I come in. Renee Miller is the absolutely best receptionist. She is friendly, considerate, and really cares for all the animals. The whole staff should be recognized for the amazing personal care they administer. They show concern, address me and my dog by name, and have even called and followed up on my dog. Currently, Ive had my Australian shepherd in and he is very sick. They have been so supportive, shown concern, administered care, and are absolutely affordable. They have even offered Dr. Ms number to me and offer to accommodate any needs. Ive worked with Illinois vet clinics for 10 years and Wonder Lake really sets themselves apart from the norm, they dont price gauge either! Dr. M is my favorite, he spends individual time talking to me about my dogs breed and behaviors and thoroughly answers any/all questions. It is 100% worth the wait to visit this facility and I will be taking ALL of my animals here until I cant anymore. Thanks for everything Wonder Lake!

If your pet us truly part of your family, you would never bring them there. I went to get my 2 year old mastiff spayed there today, but walked out after 15 mins. I will never leave my pet somewhere I wouldnt be comfortable at. Staff was rude. I walked in baby wearing my 16 month old toddler and holding a 180 lbs dog back. The place was super packed no place to sit. My child was screaming trying to get away from me, while dogs kept barking and lunging at my gentle giant. The staff was just starring at me. I get first come first serve but you can clearly see I needed some help, at least stick me in a room and let me wait. It felt dirty and just got a cold vibe from everyone who worked there. When I asked for how long it would be to get checked in, I got a rude response and left. Why would anyone bring their family pet to a place like this. Pay the extra and money and go to a better vet.
