Thought they were pretty good until we decided to use their grooming service - WHAT A DISASTER! Our rescue dog was dropped off at 7:30am but we found out he was not groomed until 2pm. bring this time he refused to go into a kennel (this due to a previous abuse situation that has made him terrified of kennels - of which this information was given to the vet during our initial visit 2 years ago). As result of not going into the kennel he was left in a room by himself. We have no idea for how long he was in this room or what other issues he went through during this 8 hour debacle. Not one time during this ordeal did anybody call us and let us know that he was acting frightened and hyper. If somebody would have called we would have asked them to cancel the appointment and taken him home. He was obviously distressed when he was picked up - and so were we. He was upset and the groomer did not do anything that my wife had asked them to do. His groom was horrible! His beautiful coat looked like an amateur attempted a groom for the first time!!! He had ridges all along his sides - nothing feathered. Lousy job. They’re solution? To have the vet prescribe a medication to calm him down the next time we bring him in - a drug to sedate him so that he could get groomed. Seriously!? Not the way we want any of our pets treated. We decided that we did not like their philosophy and insensitivity at Orchard Valley Animal Hospital so had our pet’s records transferred to a more caring facility that is more in line to what we expect.

Orchard Road Animal Hospital is a poorly run business and does not stand behind their subpar service. I had tumor removed from my dog’s chest. The stitches, on a very inactive dog, pulled apart three days later on Sunday morning, leaving a two inch diameter open wound on her abdomen. I called Orchard Road and listened to message that said they were closed and to take the dog to a particular emergency veterinarian. I did and the emergency vet reclosed the wound. I left a message for the practice manager and never was called back; instead they felt it would be appropriate for the vet to call to defend himself. He tried to tell me that it was almost impossible to ensure that the stitches would hold; the second vet’s attempt worked perfectly though. He said if we would have waited until Monday they would have repaired the work for free; guess I should have just put a band-aid on it. He said he could see my point and would talk to the practice manager, funny that I tried to go that route in the first place. He must have got the same response from the practice manager that I got because nobody has called me back in 10 days. After spending $1000 for a service, I ended up spending another $390 for another vet to finish it properly. My dogs are being taken care of across town now.

I brought my dog in because she was itching uncontrollably and congested/ sneezing. The dr came in the room to check my dog. She had green anal discharge which I clean off of her when I see it. The vet said that if there was something going on then she would have matted hair from itching. I worked at a vet for 3 years, I know how to clean my animals. He did not check her heart or breathing. He said she looks fine. 3 weeks later she is having the same symptoms but worse so I contacted the manager and ask if my dog can be seen again, since I paid 100$ And did not even get a full exam. She told me no, that I had to schedule something and pay for it. And that is beside the fact that she was extremely rude. Save yourself a trip and the money. I should have listened when I heard this was not a good vet clinic to go to.

We have been going to Dr. Flieg for 22 years and tell everyone we know that she and her staff are the best they will ever find. The facility is clean, beautiful and has the most current equipment to take care of any pets needs without having to go anywhere else. Most importantly is Dr. Flieg and her staffs compassion for the animals and their patience with their owners. They educate and let you know they truly care about your pet. That means the world to us. Thank you so much for all you have done for us and our pets, from puppies to seniors. You have made the journey a healthy and happy one.

I have visited many of the competing vets in the area and none of them can compare to Orchard. I have been going to Orchard Road since they were in just the little house in the front. Weve taken three cats and two dogs to visit with Dr. Distajo and she is the best. When we lost one of our dogs her compasion at that time was superb. We have actually visited with all of the Veterinarians on staff and while we prefer Dr. Distajo, everyone is great. I highly recommend this Vet to anyone looking for a fairly priced Vet who provides the best care for your pet.

Expensive: (IT IS ALL ABOUT MONEY) brought my Dog here for a bad tooth - her face was swollen. They thought it could be an allergy? You pay - but the diagnosis isnt accurate. Second time - the Dogs swelling went down. I received an estimate for $780.41 for a tooth extraction. UPDATE: Dog had a infection in her mouth - Diagnosis - wrong! THIS IS MORE THAN I HAVE EVER PAID FOR MY OWN Teeth - for an EXTRACTION. Cant understand the bill either. I know the problem the Vet needs to make $80 to 90K a Year.

My family has been coming to Orchard Road Animal Hospital since we moved to Montgomery in 2007. Weve had 3 dogs come here and theyve all received the highest care possible, as well as a lot of love. When our first dog passed away (it was around Christmas time), they sent us an ornament of her paw print as a surprise and it was one of the most beautiful things our family has ever been gifted. I would recommend no other animal hospital in the area other than Orchard Road!

My husband has been taking his pets to Orchard Road his whole life. When we combine our furry family, I started taking my cats there as well. We travel an hour out of our way just to ensure our pets are with people we trust. My husband and I use their boarding facilities as well when we go out of town and our dog is actually excited to leave us when we get there. We know they get tons of attention and love.

I had my first visit today to Orchard Road Animal Hospital. I have been to other vets in the area and Orchard blows them all away. Dr. Huffman and Josh took wonderful care of my cat. You can just tell they geniunely love what they do and my cat took to them right away. Orchard surpassed all my expectations and I wont be going any where else.

The staff is very informative, friendly and trusting. Dr. Destajo is absolutely amazing. She is very caring and wants to do the best for her patients and their owners. Orchard Road Animal Hospital is very blessed to have her on staff. The whole staff is wonderful and I never worry about my pets when they are boarded.
