I went to Aspen Dental, Oak Creek, because I had a broken tooth and they could give me an appointment. Instead of looking at the cracked tooth, which was why I was there, they went through a long process of taking all the panoramic Xrays and two hours of working up a "treatment plan" for how they were going to either crown or pull basically all of my molars. I spent an extensive time with Denise, the business manager, who was the second person who tried to "up-sell" me partial dentures, because the dentist hadnt convinced me. If I hadnt been in pain, I wouldnt have tolerated these hard sell tactics. When the conversation swerved to expecting me to justify why I was "afraid" of dentures, I kept bringing the subject back to the cracked tooth that was the reason I was there. Denise finally recognized that I was not going to sign a huge financial estimate for all the work the dentist wanted to do to me. We finally got down to business with how much extracting the broken tooth (because it was cracked below the gums) would cost me. The next step was Olympia telling me that she was going to re-check my blood pressure, because it had been a little high when I came in. I explained to her that no one had checked my BP at any time during the prior two hours. She insisted FIVE TIMES that I just didnt remember it being taken. It didnt bother so much that someone else had slipped up on the paperwork, but that woman insisting that I was wrong, infuriated me. If you want to raise my BP, then call me a LIAR five times. The paperwork error was fixed but I never received an apology from Olympia, Denise or Dr. Kapoor, only a justification of the "usual procedure." Thats probably what they consider as an apology. The extraction was a horrific 45 min. with a lot of drilling, cracking and pulling. The way the rest of my teeth were frequently being hit with the tools, every time the dentist lost his grip, caused me to worry about others being chipped or cracked. There is another molar that has lost its filling but they wont have a chance at it. The dentist refused to replace the filling. He insisted on putting a crown on it, instead. Denise already had the future appointment scheduled, and the charge calculated. I wont be back. It has nothing to do with the goofed up paperwork. It has to do with the hard sell tactics; the extensively long extraction; and the Olympia calling me a liar about the BP.

Wow. I called the clinic because I had some pain and some swelling in my face. I listen to their commercials about how they care and they are supportive and wonderful people who dont judge....And it couldnt have been further from the truth. The commercials said emergency walk ins welcome. I called the number. I was told that I couldnt see the doctor until 3 days later. I asked what should I do about the pain in the mean time. The reply I got was that since they had never seen me before they couldnt treat me over the phone....what? So here I am in pain, I have to wait 3 days and no advice on how to give myself any relief. Ok. Well, I told myself not to judge them on that. Lets see what the doctor does. I ended up going to my medical doctor that same day for antibiotics until I saw the denist. 3 days later, I saw the dentist. The minute the doctor started talking to me he couldnt wait to get out of the room. He didnt explain anything to me, was condensending, he told me my two options as quick as he could and then out the door he went. He filed me over to his financial person who went over my cost and shoved me out the door with two perscriptions (one for pain and one antibiotic). Well, at least he did that much. So I decided on the option I was going to go with. Not having much confidence in this dentist....but I needed to get rid of this pain so I thought, I will just go and get it done. I called the office. The young girl answered. I told her I was given no direction as to how to proceed. She put me on hold. I was on hold long enough for the phone to ring again, I was put on hold again....four times this happened. Then it rang, the financial guy was on the other end. Nope, he couldnt help me....so back on hold. 3 more times this happened and the girl comes back on. She was just as oblivious as when I started...I just blew up. Not only was the care mediocre but it was apprupt and uncaring. And the staff is confused as all get out! Wow! Even though I am in pain, I will not be going back there. I have no confidence in their ability to give me adequate care.

Easy to set up first time appointment online. Perfect for patients with no insurance they offer free X-rays, exam and treatment plan with coupon. There is also a 20% coupon online as well. Make sure you have it ready or bring it up during when your treatment plan is being discussed. I have a broken tooth, several fillings needed, gum disease that I will need a couple treatments for that and cleanings. Dentist mention a bridge because once I have this one tooth pulled on the upper left side there be 1 left. I said why not pulled it then! He said it still good just cavity needs to be fixed. But he did tell me the bridge is very expensive. After talking with the office manager and figure how many teeth needed in the bridge total of 7 would be just under $9,000 well that is way out of my price range. I rather have dentures before spending that kind of money. Or deal without. I didnt realize how expensive dental care is but its expensive even with the 20% off. I was able to get the financing with 0 % financing. Its hard to find dentist who take new patients without insurance and actually who do a whole treatment plan. I have to be careful due to I recently had 2 knee replacements so anytime I have extractions, fillings or cleanings I have to take antibiotics 1 hr prior. I be happy when this broken tooth is out of my mouth! Tired of food getting stuck inside the big hole! Plus tired of the bad headaches and pain that goes along with it! Monday cant get here fast enough to get extraction and fillings done! Then more fillings, cleaning and gum disease treatments for July. So will update the progress!

Well, I made an appointment to go there for a cleaning for me and my son. I called, scheduled the appointment and I received no less than 7 phone calls and 2 emails confirming it. I thought that in itself was weird and annoying but the worst was yet to come. I go in and me and my son were immediately wisked away for xrays by someone who was not only unfriendly but hurt my mouth so bad, it drew blood. The dentist saw both of us for a total of 2 minutes and tried to sell me some paste for my son for his braces and took a pick to my tooth, told me it was sticking and that I needed a filling for my cavity. Wouldnt it have showed up on the xray if I had a cavity. They sent me to the payment department and they showed me what I would be paying after my insurance paid. I decided right then and there I was not interested in anything they could offer there. I went back to my regular dentist (tried to find something closer to my home) and they were baffled as to why they took xrays of someone who had braces since you cant see anything and now neither of us can have xrays taken for another year. My whole experience was awful starting with the phone calls down to the xray tech who seemed to not know what she was doing to the dentist who saw each of us for one minute each. Oh and by the way, no cleaning took place that day because they DONT DO THAT ON THE FIRST VISIT! Thanks for notifying me of that!
