NO STARS!!! two years ago had major problems with a pair of glasses being out of focus when looking right. the woman told me not to look right and its because of the extreme curvature of the lens. I persisted that the lenses were incorrect and after three times getting lenses made, they finally got it right. I stuck with them due to second chances and the fact that I have two insurance policies and they take both(convenience). I have two pair of glasses, exact same frames, one pair tinted, one not.A screw fell out of my daily pair, so i replaced the screw with one from my tinted pair. went to CVS to get a eyewear repair kit and can tell the screw is not the same to fix the now broken tinted pair. I think to myself........ Raymond Opticians will have that screw........since they should have every kind of screw and part needed to fix glasses and I am a loyal customer!!! I go to the store and the woman tells me to bring in the broken pair. I tell her these are the same frames and the screw missing on that pair is the same screw on this pair. she says she doesnt know what size screw. I tell her to take out this screw, size it, put it back together and then give me the additional screw to take home and I will install it in the broken pair. she says she cant do that and then rambled on about how she might not be able to get the screw in(at this point shes not making any sense and is making excuse for being LAZY) so I grabbed my glasses and left cursing the whole way home!! So now she doesnt have to fix my glasses, she will never have to see me again and she lost my business !!Horrible customer service

This place gets zero stars. My boyfriend went in and he ordered a pair of every day glasses and a pair of polarized prescription sunglasses. The woman at the desk said it would be about a week for them to come in. A week later, we went to pick them up and the every day glasses were there, but not the sunglasses. The same woman gave him a schpeil about how theyre hand-made and blah blah. Ok, fine. So, he waits a couple more days. Another week goes by and theyre finally ready. We went in to pick them up and the lens didnt fit in the frame, so they had to order a new one. A week and a half later, the call came that they were ready. Being that this place is quite out of my boyfriends way, I went to pick them up for him since I work 2 towns over. When I got them home, I noticed some smudges on the lenses and 2 giant scratches across the left lens. I tried to clean them with the provided cloth, but nothing was helping. Needless to say, when he got home, he was annoyed. The woman ordered another lens while on the phone with my boyfriend and said they should be in in another 4 days. Those 4 days go by and yet again, theyre not ready. Supposedly, the company who makes the lens had to remake it twice. So, she tells my boyfriend that it would be another few days. If youre keeping track, this has been just about 2 months and still no glasses. If you want a quality product, I highly recommend going elsewhere.

The optical jewel of the Hudson Valley! We had always shopped for all our optical needs in Manhattan. Since retiring this had become a major undertaking, but where to go near home? What great fortune to have discovered Raymond Opticians in the Shoprite mall in Chester. The selection was impressive, service incredible and prices that just cant be beat. The icing on the cake was that they even accepted our union optical benefit! I cant think of a nicer place to shop, or a place with a more patient, knowledgeable staff. Im telling everyone I know to head to Raymond and see Marcelle.... she really knows her stuff!!! This shop will definitely compete favorably with any upscale NYC "boutique" optical retailer. Five stars!!!!

The only reason I gave them a star is because you have to in order to post. Anyone giving these folks any stars must have some sort of connection to them. Im tired of hearing the womans excuses as to why things arent in on time, arent right or are damaged. The people before me, then me and then the people after me all have issues and the woman keeps making up stories. My thought is she is disorganized and forgets to do things.

Where do I start,the receptionist is rude and lazy, I needed help picking out a pair of glasses and she literally would not get up from her chair to help me. The rest of the staff are just as bad. The optometrist talks so much I thought I would never get out of there. The few times Ive been there its the same thing. This place needs new staff including the eye doctor.

I went for the convenience of the location, but the front desk staff, are rude with a smile, kinda like youre annoying them and they have a million excuses because somethings always wrong...you really really need new staff...mark my words
