This place is terrible. They are highly disorganized and are far from helpful. Their out of date medical practices are only highlighted by the fact that it takes 24 hours to 7 days to send medical records to other veterinarians. Due to the fact that none of the staff knows how to use the internet or a fax machine. Their lack of veterinary knowledge and compassion led to an 8 week recovery for my dog. Which possibly could of been avoided if there was more up to date testing performed which would of led to appropriate medications. Instead my dog was given a medication that they thought would help on their guess as to what the problem was. Thankfully I brought my dog elsewhere. To think that my dog might not of made a full recovery because they are completely incompetent is unacceptable and saddening. In the future none of my pets, or the pets of my friends and family will be going there. They are part of our family, and this place does not seem to care. They may have lower prices, but keep in mind you get what you pay for.

My dog had surgery last week, had a splenectomy and was diagnosed with Lymphoma. As hard as this is for me to deal with. The Doctors I delt with personally were Dr. Joe and Dr. Gonzalez I know Dr. McCord was the surgeon but never got to meet him, although my husband did. I had never gone there and always went with my dogs intuition. He felt comfortable with the Dr.s well that was good enough for me. My dog usually barks and may even growl if he doesnt trust you. They did a wonderful job and still will take him there until the end. The are compassionate, and are very reasonable. I dont know how much longer my dog has all I know is that they will make it comfortable until it is his time to go. People complain of the smell. All I can say its a very busy place and doubt they have the time to clean between their patients. I just delt with it. Besides it could be worse. I do recommend this place and will continue to use them from now on.

This place is horrible. The vet techs that work there are either unlicensed or are mediocre. They are old and washed up, been there 20+ years EACH, its time for new staff. The receptionist are unhelpful and it takes DAYS to hear back from them. Not to mention Kari in the kennel is CRAZY. Lauren in the kennel is unprofessional and COVERED in tattoos..she seemed high when I dropped my dog off and I was afraid to leave my dog with her...Alicia is the only semi decent one in the kennel but regardless I would not board my dog there EVER AGAIN. It seems like they will hire anyone off the street without question. I used to be a frequent client..not anymore. There are PLENTY of vet offices in the area that are at a higher level of care, compassion and ability. Hopewell Animal Hospital, Hudson Highlands, ACE Veterinary and thats just in a 5 mile radius of Hopewell. THINK BEFORE YOU USE EAST FISHKILL ANIMAL HOSPITAL.

If your pets are sick this "animal hospital" will let them die. Theyre not compassionate and honestly they just want your money. Ive had two dogs die on their watch. They over medicate, they misdiagnose, and then when they start to go they do nothing. The veterinarians are careless and not capable of treating these animals. Most recently, my father called at 630am with an emergency. They told him to wait in the parking lot till they opened at 9am. He dropped off the dog and by 3pm he died of a seizure as a result of 2 insulin shots from diabetes. He was there 3 weeks prior to have a cyst drained and no one knew he had diabetes. They just let him die. And then when I questioned the veterinarian she got defensive, disrespectful, and just cold. She needs to find a new profession and this animal hospital needs to close.

I left this animal hospital YEARS ago because I felt that it was all about the money as well! I had problems with misdiagnosing as well and there is no room for error when it comes to my precious fur babies! Yes, they are probably the cheapest veterinarian service around this area, but I would not go back there if you paid me. Unfortunately they have had some very good doctors working for them over the years but they always end up leaving. Bottom line is Dr. McCord is the owner and I had bad experiences with him that led me to never go back! In fact I have been using someone who used to work in this office that went out on their own and she is AWESOME! I would say her name, but Im not sure I am allowed when posting for this review.

My family has been going to Dr. McCord for 25 years and we are very comfortable there. I boarded my dog there and she LOVED IT! It was like a sleep away camp for her. Dr. McCord is very professional and gets right to the issue at hand first....Then conversates. I would not trust any other Animal Hospital. I even moved to Peekskill and drive the distance to go there for my dog. As for the comment before mine. They give you Flea and tick treatment for your animals when you go there and tell you to keep up with it. They do take them outside for runs you know. Dr. McCord really knows what he is doing. Many years of experience.

I absolutely love this animal hospital. I moved into town last year and first tried the place on the other side of town and had a terrible experience with a mis-diagnosis. I then came to the east fishkill animal hospital and Dr.Mccord knew what my dogs issue was without running all the 20 tests the other place made me pay for! He seems to be the most knowledgeable and honest vet around and clearly cares for the animals above all else. The staff was caring and friendly as well. Im never going anyplace else! Thanks!!

Both my Shrink-A-Bull (Bruno) and my Victorian Bulldog (Brody) LOVED / LOVE going to EF Animal Hospital. Unfortunately Bruno passed away very young, but the entire staff provided excellent care and LOVED him until the end. When it comes to Brody, he is always greeted with HUGS AND LOVE AND ENTHUSIASM from the staff. Dr. Knapp, Dr. Collins and Dr. Gonzalez have all become a part of our family. The love they show Bruno has carried right over to Brody. I cant say enough about these AMAZING women!

I brought my puppy to see Dr McCord and all I can say he is the most compassionate veterinarian I have ever met he took such good care of my biscuit and spent well over an hour with me explaining every little detail to me and my daughter, not one question went unanswered. I am so happy to have Dr McCord take care of my puppy, o and the prices are great....highly recommended

I am a new patient (cats and dogs) the doctors and staff are very caring, efficient and pleasant. everyone is helpful and knowledgeable when asked a question or will find out and get back to you asap. thank you East Fishkill Animal Hospital for caring for our "little family members" I agree with the previous review- what more could you ask for!!

Dr. McCord and staff were very attentive to my dog and all my questions. The Dr was able to figure out what was causing my dogs cough when other vets couldnt. They truly care about your pets and have the expertise I was looking for! I highly recommend East Fishkill Animal Hospital. The prices are reasonable too, for this area!
