Just received bill for $11000 and had to go to another ER! Everyone was so nice BUT! I fell and broke my upper right arm in three places while jogging in Mamaroneck December 13. I got up and could move my elbow and fingers. I walked a block and felt sick and faint. I was then aware of pain in my arm. Someone called EMS. I wanted to go to Urgent Care but no. I was taken to Montefiore ER. I felt extremely dizzy, normal with broken bone, and sick to my stomach. I was told I must have broken my hip, I must have diabetes ect...NO. I only take thyroid med for hypothyroidism. I repeatedly asked everyone for hours for anti-nausea meds. NEVER got anti-nausea med. I never asked for pain meds. I did get some after almost 3 hours because the X-Ray Tech was stunned that no one had done anything. Yes, no IV. I assume the ER doctor and the OS looked at the x-rays but I only saw the PA for the OS who told me he said that my arm was broken from the shoulder to the elbow and I would have a lot of pain. A sling was then put on my arm and I was told to go home. I was told I would stop feeling extremely dizzying and sick to my stomach when I got home. NO. Two days later with no food and very little liquids I had my husband take me to Greenwich ER. Ok, instant warm blanket and anti-nausea med. I didnt ask! Arm fractured in three places and not one! ANd now I was just sent a bill for $11,037 for the care that I "received" at Montefiore New Rochelle. Treatment of fracture $1664.00 and ER Visit Major...$1800. CT of head $1118 and $640 for injection of pain med almost 3 hours after arriving! AVOID this hospital. AND THIS IS WHY MEDICAL COSTS ARE UP AND SO ARE YOUR PREMIUMS. Now was it busy? While it did not look like it. The one next to me was demanding antibiotics for a middle cold. NO fever no real cough.

My mom called me crying that she was in terrible pain. Our two closest hospitals are this one and white plains. Not being thrilled with white plains and this one recently being taken over by Montifiore I decided to try here. No one likes going to an emergency room. It means longs waits. Rushing to sit and wait right!? It was a Saturday night I was nervous that we would be here all night. We signed in and waited in main waiting room twenty mins. Takento triage nurse name peggy who was very nice. Taken into the actual emergency area and given "a room" right away. Nurse named Kathy came in. Bubbly and sweet. Was moving fast. When she left explained what we would wait for. 5 mins later Dr. Madore came in. Friendly and informative. Tonight my mom should have a ct scan. I texted my husband that now i probably would never get home waiting for a ct scan!! Within the next half hour my mom had an iv in to get fluids, blood taken and was pushed away to ct scan. I was impressed to see things moving. Half hour later doctor came back in explained blood results. Explained she was waiting for ct scan results. 15 mins later had results. It was a kidney stone. Hooked her up to antibiotics. Sent her prescription to pharmacy. All in all... 3 hours. I would totally come here again. They are doing their best. People are always more likely to leave negative reviews. I wanted to share my positive one!

The ER wait is ridiculous. It was a security guard that was extremely rude and to learn a thing or two in hospitality. My nephew had an allergic reaction and was sitting in back with his mom being treated. My mom and I was sitting in the waiting area, just laughing at some stories we were sharing. A black security guy comes and says "Ladies, this is a hospital." My mom said "Yes, we know where we are at." I forgot what he said but he then yelled "So act like it!" And walked away. A few minutes later my mom asked for his supervisor, he refused to give her his supervisor by arguing with my mom. He was all like "Im security! Who are you?!" All he had to say from the beginning was "Ladies, please lower your voices" What a rude SOB.

I was hit by a car as I was crossing the street. I was brought into a dark room and left unattended for about 10 minutes. Finally someone came in and turned on some lights and attended to me. You will see only residents here. I did not see a full fledged Doctor until my 3rd night there, and that was for all of 10 minutes. It was a full five hours before I was given a room and another two before I was given the proper pain meds. One nurse "pushed" my pain med into my IV instead of injecting it into my arm as required and it caused me to become very sick. I was vomiting and sweating profusely for 45 minutes (all with a neck brace on). If you have a choice, avoid this hospital. The nurses were wonderful but overwhelmed.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE: i had an operation i hope youre not i hope youre not a BIG PERSON. THEY FAT SHAME: it happened to me in I.C.U it happened 2X after the operation when they wash you. one of them asked "why are so big."i replied only one way. "he said by eating Italian bread and lots of pasta the second time. one of the aids moved the bed my gown wasnt tied. i was laying on my side staff thought i was sleeping it was like a roast. all of this is true. i wouldnt write this review because it would be slander. if you put the staff in like a police line up i could pick 3 to 4 of them out. if i had a severe injury id travel 15 mins BEFORE I EVER WENT BACK HERE

This hospital is terrible. We just had our first child. We planned to give birth in Einstein but circumstances caused us to come here. The staff is very unprofessional. We just had a bunch of different people walking in and out of the room without introducing themselves or even acknowledging that my girlfriends legs are spread wide open and shes in labour pain. The rooms look old and dirty. There was blood splatters on the ceiling and the paint and wallpaper was peeling. The sink in our room is clogged and the bathroom in our room doesnt have hot water. Worst hospital experience ever, I would give negative starts if that were possible.

Worst hospital experience of my life ! I do not whatsoever recommend this hospital for any medical purposes . The staff is careless , the beds stink and are unpresentable , the nurses werent trained properly . Dr . Laura M. Discharged me in the same amount of pain I came in with . She sat on her computer and when I requested to talk with her she declined. When I finally found her sitting at her desk, she had NO helpful or reasonable answers . She told me to come back tomorrow because she wasnt a specialist ????

I went there to have my baby in 2015. It was about 4am the security guard was so nice the nurses should take a page out of her book. when I started going into labor they told me I was on the wrong bed and they needed to switch it. I had to stand for about 10-15 minutes, my husband had to get angry before the proper bed was brought in. I was there for 3 days. When I was ready to leave they didnt provide a wheelchair even though I was still in pain. I wouldnt even take my enemy to this hospital.
