Terrible veterinarian! Worst vet experience ever. Completely lacking in professionalism and maturity. Go Elsewhere! He picked the dog up in a very unsafe manner for a dog of this size. Treating the dog like a four pound teacup. I made the vet aware that the hind quarters should always be supported to put the animal at ease. He became completely sarcastic, saying - wow, Ive been doing this all these yearsand no one ever showed me that. Wow. Thank you for teaching me. His tone was exaggerated and condescending. I said that there was no need for sarcasm and asked him to give the dog back. He ignored until I insisted he hand me my dog. He wanted to establish his dominance with the dog by basically putting the dog in a very uncomfortable position. He claimed it was calming the dog, except the dog was clearly not calm and kicking his legs trying to find ground. The Unprofessional vet was holding the upper body only, applying immense pressure towards himself, essentially squeezing the ribs of a dog we brought in for breathing issues. When we spoke with the vet tech for at least ten minutes where wed explained everything and answered all questions, she said she would need to go to the "doctor" and share all of the information we had just given her. Not possible. Less than a minute later, the vet came in the room with a very annoyed and impatient energy and asked us to repeat everything wed just told her. I asked - did the vet tech not tell you anything, she said she would? He said, she told me very briefly but I need to ask again. My friend and I looked at each other at the same time like - wow, that was pointless. But it was very light-hearted. The vet was completely rude and presumptuous, attempting to interpret our look, and said -"dont get upset" "lets not go down that (he was mixing languages so the last word made no sense in English) I responded in a very polite tone- Were not upset. We were simply surprised to have spent all that time explaining in-depth, only to find out that we have to go through the whole explaining again. Its a lot to go through." I said, "but no one is upset so please do not read into anything here. We came for the dog." I knew right there that this vet was standoffish, rude and did not want to listen to anything. He was the boss. I wanted to only speak about the dog. So upon re-explaining everything, he continually rushed, interrupted and finished our sentences with symptoms that did not apply at all. He switched around several things we told the vet tech, and when we tried to correct him so he would have an accurate idea of the symptoms, he just kept interrupting so wed have to start all over again. The dog I brought in is an amazing dog. Highly obedient, highly trained, and trained as a service dog for hearing. I asked the vet if he was comfortable, before examining(pushing, poking, pulling and inserting needles) him, with allowing the dog a few minutes to grow comfortable with him, especially since hes in a weakened state as hes been sick lately. The vet said fine. I asked the vet not to let him right away as hes not a dog who likes to be touched by strangers. Hell not bite, as hes around children constantly who do it, but it makes him uncomfortable and right now were trying to put him at ease with you. The vet had a very negative and forceful energy. Put his hand out and after a second, reached over the dogs head to pet him, while the dog is leaning on me(not a good move) and the opposite of what I instructed). After no more than around 10 seconds, the vet said- "ok, I tried it your way, now try mine and step back." My friend and I again were baffled. You cant expect a dog to grow comfortable with someone in eight seconds. Its absurd. If he didnt want to take a few minutes to get to know the dog upon the first meeting, he could easily have said no, and we would have gone elsewhere. Unfortunately, our last vet left the practice he was part of, and they would provide no information. We left. This vet is a nincompoop!

Amazing, wonderful office! We have been taking our "baby" here for about a year and we are so happy with Dr. DiPolo and the staff! When we had her spayed at 7 months, I was a nervous mother! I called the office the day before regarding the requirement to keep her overnight following the surgery. I understood the medical necessity, but I wanted to discuss the care. Dr. DiPolo called me at 9pm that night and stayed on the phone with me patiently discussing all of the options. I did not feel rushed by him at all, even considering the late hour. I was so nervous about leaving her overnight because she is a small dog, and Dr. DiPolo gave me the option of taking her home following the surgery if we promised to keep her very still and send him a picture in the morning and/or bring her back immediately if there were any issues. We were so relieved and appreciative of his flexibility. Between my husband and I, we have had quite a few dogs go through spay/neuter surgery. We have never seen an animal come out of surgery in such excellent condition like ours did after having the procedure at Worth Street Vet. She was a tad groggy, but her usual vibrant self was shining through and we had to restrain her excitement. Her incision was so tiny and he uses medical glue on the outside layer, so she was not bothered by it at all which also meant no wearing of the dreaded cone! I cannot rate this experience highly enough! When she reached a year and her growth leveled out, we discussed our feeding options with Dr. DiPolo. His aim is to give you the best advice based on what is achievable for you as a pet owner. With his careful guidance, we were able to move forward with cooking for her. What is great about these conversations with him is that he never pushes his views on you. He works with your lifestyle and concerns and helps formulate a plan that everyone can be comfortable with. I wish that human healthcare was this wonderful!

I love Worth St vet and Dr. DiPolo is amazing! On the phone: Ive called so many times Im embarrassed to admit. Everytime whomever answered the phone was more than helpful, super friendly and very knowledgeable (even though I wasnt even a client yet). The office and check up room: is clean, modern and really welcoming. My dog was relaxed, I was comfortable making for a pleasant experience. The staff: everyone is so friendly and welcoming. At reception the lady was so lovely and answered all my questions and everything was very well organized and managed in a timely fashion. The vet technician was also very nice and made my dog comfortable. The Vet: the most important part of a veterinary visit - 200% fantastic! Dr DiPolo was knowledgable, friendly and patient - he took time to introduce himself to my dog (who is scared, doesnt like any vet and freaks out). It was a quick check up, and I felt totally at ease. Everything was super efficient and while I was there I saw other patients come and go and everyone was obviously very well looked after. I dont think there is anything more I could ask for! Im super fussy with vets and doctors and have been driving from the city to Connecticut (2 hours) to see my vet because I havent liked any of the ones Ive seen since living in the City. There is a reason for all the good reviews and I really felt I should add my experience to the mix :)) Im so grateful to have found Worth St Ver and Dr DiPolo. Thanks to all the good reviews. I hope mine helps too :)
