If ZERO was an option I would have chosen it... I was struck by a car back in April of 2016 and underwent two back surgeries as a result of my injuries. After Time and lots of physical therapy I began to slowly heal. Recently I have been experiencing high levels of pain that is not affected by any type of medication. This evening it was so bad that I had to go to the emergency room...I clearly stated up front that I was not there for any type of medication considering I have some pretty heavy-duty stuff at home. I explained to Tom, the PA that something was seriously wrong and I needed to find out what was causing this pain. After taking my vitals and Performing no physical examination, I was hurried out of the room and discharged being told that there was nothing they could do for me. I was trying to hold off and schedule an appointment with my PMD but my symptoms were very uncomfortable and raised a lot of concern. not only is my health care covered by no fault but I also have my private insurance... This idiot advised me next time I should come in claiming trauma in order to get the testing I required...basically I should lie?.. Trying to schedule outpatient Imaging and other tests is time consuming and does not get me any closer to alleviating my pain... Then after spending only seven minutes with me in the room and discharging me they wanted my insurance information to bill for the visit... This idiot did absolutely nothing yet they are going to bill my insurance company for an emergency room visit... Rochester General hospital is absolutely ridiculous & basically useless...

The care, support, and smiles of the staff beginning Friday, 7/28/17 through Wednesday 8/2/17 was incomparable!! It began with a phone call to Dr. Eran Muto at the ED. She encouraged me to come in for evaluation of my symptoms. Upon arrival, she had already consulted with Dr. Chuck Cavallaro and they ordered a CT Scan. Dr. Cavallaro followed with an immediate review of the scan and emergency surgery was diagnosed. Since I had never had abdominal surgery, Dr. Cavallaro was able to recommend a trusted surgeon, Dr. Steven Ognibene. Dr. Ognibene was very down to earth and made it easy to understand the reasons and need for immediate surgery and what to expect. Following the surgery that night, the entire staff was over the top-friendly, responsive, and caring. Nurse, Liz and her co-workers (2800) were remarkable; right down to the girl who made sure I had Vegetable broth/soups instead of the usual chicken or beef!!! It was always "V" on the menu for me and I wish I had that girls name, she was outstanding. I send my heartfelt thanks, love, and appreciation to all for making my emergency visit and stay so pleasant. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!

Former employee review so I guess I am obviously biased, but hey this is free advice. The new RGH wants you to know how much they care about you and your family.....Yeah, just like my call is important to you, employees are our greatest resource and the usual BS that corporations like to throw out there. Go to strong memorial. I went to an RGH meeting where they basically said that if people think you care about them, they are much less likely to sue for malpractice if a mistake occurs. Great! We actually CARE so please dont sue us if we screw up. Well, I worked there and I hope they care about patients a LOT more than the employees....

My wife and I took our oldest son to the emergency room here because he had a severe ear infection, the doctor attending ER, was Condescending and rude to my wife appeared to be arrogant and I thought he thought he was better than most people. Between my wife and I we have seven degrees, my wonderful wife is an educator. And I am an engineer. Whole family was gardening we were wearing dress down cloths and we were a little bit dirty. Im giving two stars , because once transfer to the childcare emergency it was okay the few people we saw after the "Dr." Were very nice. Hopefully we wont have to go to this emergency room anytime soon.

I do not recommend patients and their families to the lipson cancer center. In times of trouble, confusion and hurt, families look towards the experts for help and care. In my experience, lipson was not very respectful or courteous. The front office staff is very rude and unorganized. The doctors and "experts" are nearly clueless and leave you in the dark. I gave it 2 stars only because the rest of the hospital was very fair (ER, floor 500, and palliative care). Take your cancer patients to Strong Wilmot or Buffalos Roswell Park!

This place really needs to focus on quality rather than quantity!! Waiting at their hospital lab while fasting on a Friday morning and its now past noon and I havent even been registered yet. One person working! Its like really? How understaffed are you? I can handle it but I genuinely feel sorry for the elderly and the little children screaming while they impatiently wait.

I am writing for my sister, Louise Steingass. Thank you for saving her life! Dustin Fanciullo, MD , (vascular surgeon) has been described as a rock star by all members of her family. The depth of our gratitude can not be measured. Rochester General needs to be commended for the quality of staff throughout the hospital. Thank you. Pat Button

I went to the ER at 2:00am and found that the level of service was great. Everyone I came in contact with was super nice and seemed sympathetic to the pain I was in. Doctor and nurse were fantastic, as was the tech in imaging. I guess YMMV on each visit but this was a good one.

We were attended to quickly in the emergency center. Staff was friendly and attentive, listened really well, and showed a genuine interest in making sure we felt taken care of. Nearly the opposite of our experience at Strong. Definitely prefer Rochester General.

Ive had many fairly good experiences with them, but then they abused my daughter and me and covered it up. Which makes it hard to have any trust in this hospital at all

Some of the staff werent very good at their job. But the nurses and cleaning lady on 7th floor were nice. Fast and efficient service in the ER also.
