I just wanted to share this experience because I believe customer service to be a very important part of any good veterinary clinic. I just moved to Saratoga Springs and had my dogs prescription faxed over to Banfield. My previous VET (not a staff member) called and told me that she had just faxed it and had a confirmation fax. So I stood in line at Banfield while the receptionist, an older woman with dark hair in a ponytail and thick rimmed glasses, talked on and on with an attractive male client picking up a kitten - all about Obama and what the government is doing in restrictions of bandwidth of the internet etc. etc. etc. for oh, about 10 minutes, maybe more. A lovely conversation. So finally they are done and I step up to the desk. The woman glances at me and proceeds to answer the phones shes been ignoring during her previous conversation. So I stand another 3-4 minutes. When she is done on the phone, I ask if she can find his script so I can buy his dog food. She goes in the back and comes right back out saying my vet didnt fax it, and she doesnt have it. Then goes right back to talking on the phone. So I wait. Another 5 min. or so. Until she sets the phone down again... and I start to ask if she can double check because I know my vet faxed it...but before I can finish she interrupts me to say "Im making an appointment right now" in an extremely rude tone. And so I walk away. That was approximately 20 minutes of my time wasted standing in line to buy an $80 bag of dog food. Well, I will get it somewhere else. I just wanted to say that a smile and a polite request to wait one more minute with an apology might have saved you one customer. Imagine how many more youve lost because of behavior like this. No thanks, Ill find a small town vet that might cost more but actually cares about their customers.

I made an appointment for my cat to get her rabies booster and as this was her first time with Bantfield Pet Hospital in Saratoga Springs, I brought her complete vaccination record. I was told that all of her vaccines were on track, and that she did not need any vaccines. This seemed very strange and I insisted that her record be double-checked. I was told , again, that my cat needed no vaccines, so I returned home. On a second trip to Bantfield, I requested a vaccination certificate to confirm that especially her rabies vaccines were on track, since we are travelling internationally and this is one of the Canadian border requirements. I was told that only Bantfield Latham issues such certificates and that I would need to travel with my cat to Latham. As I reviewed her vaccination record myself, again, I confirmed that my cat indeed needs a rabies booster... I am now making an appointment elsewhere, where the same office applies vaccinations AND issues vaccination certificates. I do not recommend Bantfield Hospital, Saratoga Springs, for the deficiency of their services and the confusion between two basic and routinely vaccines: my cats 3-year FVRCP (no need of a booster) and the yearly rabies vaccine!!

This is my first experience with a vet as I just got my first puppy, so Im sorry I dont have much to compare to. The staff and veterinarian were very friendly and affectionate toward my puppy. I had lots of questions and they answered all of them and never made me feel rushed. I purchased the wellness plan to keep costs down, I dont know what an average physical and vaccinations at a vet cost, but the plan costed $137 to sign up and $23 a month, otherwise the visit would have cost $421.

Been bringing my puppy there for a couple of weeks and no matter what time or day my appointment is they always see us in a reasonable amount of time. Unlike the clifton park one that gets you in a room but the vet cant see you for 45 minutes. They dont push medicine on my dog either which the Clifton park on did as well. rooms are smaller at this one but overall good experience.

The Dr. was wonderful and took her time with both of my dogs. I have also had to ask them to fax my pet records to several places since leaving the area and they have always sent them cheerfully and promptly. I absolutely recommend the facility as a top notch whole-package practice.

A few years ago the staff here saved my puppy from a horrible parvo death. They also have my husband and I the emotional support we needed during that hard time. I will never take my dog anywhere else! They are absolutely wonderful.

Just called around to the other banfield hospitals in the area and no one could get us in before friday, but Chelsea was very helpful and considerate and worked to get us in a time that worked for us. Highly recommend!
