I have been going to the Somers Animal Hospital long enough to remember when they first built the "new" building that they are in now! They have lovingly cared for many of our family pets that lived for 15-18 years, and the next generation of pets for the same length of time. Dr. Randell has extensive knowledge above and beyond what you would expect and works with many types of animals. There are specialists they will refer to when needed, but can handle most issues. Most of the staff has been there for years. They are very compassionate, caring, friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend them enough. The entire staff is educated, organized, and remembers everyone and their owners. The animal hospital is also immaculate. I have heard that other vets may be cheaper but my feeling is you get what you pay for. My pets are part of my family and bargain basement healthcare is not how I want to pinch pennies. I am certain if you try them you will love them as much as my terrible Chihuahua and 3 kitties do!

My family has been going to Somers Animal Hospital for our pets since we moved to Somers when I was 4. My earliest memory was when my parents found my cat “Slate” on the front lawn and he did not get up and greet them. My parents, not knowing what was wrong with the cat, brought him to Somers Animal Hospital where they discovered the cat was shot with a 22 rifle. I don’t remember the details because I was 10, but I remember the cat coming home about a month later and he lived a long healthy 17 years. Dr. Walker treated my dog Ryleigh for tumors and stomach issues and not only do I credit him for extending her life, but ensuring that her quality of life was not compromised. I now am 45 and live 35 minutes away and I bring my dog Remy to Somers Animal Hospital. The entire staff is caring and professional and they love our pets as if they were their own.

I have only recently moved to North Salem,NY. and was delighted to find the Somers Animal Hospital only ten minutes away from my house. That would not have been reason enough for me to use them if I had not found a highly professional staff who exhibited true understanding of my needs. I have a standard poodle of 11 years, and although in good health it is noticeable that small problems are developing here and there. Dr. Silva has given him such care that I am very confident I have chosen well. I was also happy to see that she had degrees in both Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, both of which I use for myself whenever possible. It is a rare thing to find a vet who majors in these areas. Add to this, Dr. Silva just happens to own Standard poodles, so I feel even more content. I feel that I can recommend Somers Animal Hospital with confidence.

My cat, Mischa, was sneezing. I searched the web and found it might be due to a contagious infection. I worried that her siblings might contract it too, so I brought Mischa to the Somers Animal Hospital. Dr. Randell took a careful history and gently examined her. Mischa did not have a contagious disease - she had an scratch on the cornea of her eye, likely incurred during a tussle with a sibling. The scratch made her eye tear, the tear fluid went into her throat, and she sneezed to expel the extra fluid. A few-day dose of antibiotic/anti-inflammatory eye drops healed her eye and stopped the sneezing. Then, Mischa and her siblings got long overdue mani/pedis! Many thanks to Dr. Randell and his friendly staff.

I have been bringing my 9 year old Mastiff, Army, to Somers Animal Hospital for the last 3 years. Everyone there is great! Very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Dr Walker performed 2 surgical procedures on Army and at this point I wouldnt trust anyone else to do so. Army can be a grumpy old man at times but seems to like Dr Walker. Actually, I also starting bringing my girlfriends dog, Lucy, to Somers. She is the sweetest little pit bull, 8 years old. Saw Dr Randall for some emergency rabies boosters recently... he was great with Lucy and even the Grumpy old man, Army. Very happy with Somers animal hospital and highly recommend them to everyone!

I have been bringing my golden retriever, Duncan, to the Somers Animal Hospital since I got him at 7 weeks old, Duncan is now 13 years old and doing great thanks to the doctors and staff of the Somers Animal Hospital. They are, by far, the best!!!! Not only do they treat my dog like he is their own, they have been wonderful to both my husband and myself. I highly recommend this veterinary group, and wouldnt ever use anybody else. Thank you Somers Animal Hospital! xoxo

I have used Somers Animal Hospital for years, for a variety of animals. They are professional, caring (to both the animals and their owners!) and super friendly. Choosing them for your pets health care provider is like becoming part of their family. Both in times of wellness (routine visits, shots), and illness I have always been confident that my pets are getting not only the best of care, but also true concern. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

GREAT HOSPITAL!! All of the staff has always been helpful, understanding and accommodating. The care is top quality, and current. The staff is constantly learning and incorporating new veterinary practices, and their concern for the well being of my pet is genuine. If you are CRAZY about your pets (like I am), treat them like they are your kids, and want a hospital that feels the same way; then youll LOVE Somers Animal Hospital!
