Horrible experience. My 5 year old cat was acting strange. Sitting in litter box for long periods of time, blood in urine. I took him here and the doctor I spoke to said it was a urinary tract infection but he was NOT blocked. Sent me home with medicine. Next night, cat is near death. I rush him back here at 11:30 in the night. The doctor there (same one) says he is now blocked and they need to hook him up to a catheter to clear the blockage. Few days go by. They tell us we need to do surgery, a Perineal urethrostomy, which would remove his penis. Its the only way to save his life, they say. My family agrees although we know it will cost a lot. We sign up for CareCredit to afford the surgery but we still dont know the exact price. Like an idiot, I told him my CareCredit limit was $1,600; fitting that the total price was $1,400. I wonder what it would have been if I hadnt. Regardless, we take the cat home. Hes back at this hospital in a few days. Hes still having trouble urinating, blood, etc. The doctor, this time Dr. San Giorgio himself. He tells us its normal post-surgery. Back home. Back at the hospital two days later. Cat is worse than ever. The first doctor is there. He tells me they need to keep him because of complications. The doctor tells us over the phone later that day that there was a tear in his urethra due to the catheter. Wonderful. He says they will fix it but will not charge us. Next day, we call up to check up on him and San Giorgio speaks to us. He claims that the previous doctor was wrong, there was no tear, but they will need to keep my cat for a few days more. No charge, of course. We pick the cat up and leave. No bill, nothing. We figure its all behind us. The weeks go by, and the cat continues to regress. Hes not peeing in the liter box. Hes urinating on our rug, our shoes, clothes, etc. After another week or two, we take him to our normal doctor, Dr. Villadelgado (on Forest Ave). He says the cat has another urinary tract infection. Medicine and were on our way. About three weeks go by. We get a letter in the mail from this hospital. A bill for $500. For the time we had to bring him back. Dr. San Giorgio claimed there was no tear and all was fine, but for some reason, we got a $500 bill. And the first doctor said there was a tear but would not charge us. And we picked up the cat and left without there not being a mention of paying. So they lied to us and sent us a bill weeks later. Horrible people. But it gets better. Last night my cat regressed completely. He sat in his liter box all night crying, unable to pee. I refused to take him back here, but Dr. V was not open. I had to wait until this morning. I took him to Dr. V and my cat has completely reblocked. Dr. V took him in and has to do the same surgery to clear the blockage again. Dr V is charging me $300 for the surgery, compared to the $1000+ I paid here. This hospital butchered my cat, overcharged me significantly, and lied about the condition of my cat, promised my family that the second stay would be free due to their error, and sent us a bill weeks later to our complete surprise. Never, ever take your animal here, or you will regret it. The only vet I can recommend is Dr. V on Forest Ave. This "emergency center" is disgusting and should be closed down for false business practices.

Complete Care Veterinary Center is the first Vet on Staten Island that I have been pleased with. I have lived on the Island for 11 years and would still take my pets back to Queens for their care. I would try Vets on the Island but I was always very disappointed. I had used Complete Care a few times in an emergency, but still remained with my Vet in Queens. That changed last year when I had an emergency with my 15 year old cat Silvio. Dr. SanGiorgio really heard me when I expressed my concerns about my old Boy. Together we decided on a less aggressive treatment and Silvio recovered beautifully! It was after this experience that I decided to make Complete Care my primary Vet. I have had interactions with the other two Vets who work in the practice both are skilled, competent, and compassionate. I have never had any surprises with bills, the staff explains and gives you an estimate. I recently had my 12 yr old dog operated on and I was concerned that she was not recovering well. Dr. Lucas was kind and patient with me as I expressed my concerns. Together we decided to change Mollys treatment a little, thank God that was the charm. Molly is doing wonderful! One last thing, I was very impressed with the fact that Dr. Lucas personally called me before she left for vacation to check on Molly one last time. I appreciated that kindness so much, because I was so worried about my little girl.

I would never dream of taking my Maltese to anyone other than Dr. Sangiorgio. Dr. Sangiorgio has the expertise to get it done right the first time! Over the summer, I took my baby in as a result of limping and hopping. Dr. Sangiorgio diagnosed her as having a torn meniscus and ACL. Needless to say I was a complete WRECK! Dr. Sangiorgio took the time to address every single question and concern that I had (and trust me, there were many!) He spent a countless amount of time reassuring me and guiding me every step of the way. Needless to say, the surgery was a great success! My little Chloe has never jumped as high or ran as fast! Dr. Sangiorgios personal touch, expertise and sense of humor speaks volumes for the care, love and compassion he has for his fury patients and their families! Just today, I brought my little Chloe in for a minor surgical procedure. Dr. Sangiorgios shift did not start until 4pm, however, he came in at 8am to carry out this procedure for me! In addition, he followed up with a mid morning phone call to let me know my little Chloe was doing just fine! This is truly unprecedented! Dr. Sangiorgio is truly stellar. He has shown nothing less than professionalism and percision in his veterinary practice. I would reccommend his services to all of my pampered pooch pals! He is passionate about what he does and his compassion and loyalty truly shines!

My dog was feeling ill so we took her, Daisy, to Dr.Sangiorgio. Through the first week they didnt know what was wrong. He only recommended leaving Daisy overnight, every night....2 weeks and $2000 later, when we informed him that we were tired of exams and being charged 200-$300 at a time and we need to know what was wrong with Daisy before signing off and letting the Dr. do another $500 exam. We simply spent all our money and had none left. My family felt like we deserved to know exactly what was going on. Dr. Sangiorgio had his receptionist call us and hour later and tell us Daisy had renal disease and had to be put to sleep (and they would ONLY charge us $80 so we could put her out of her misery as fast as possible)...I immediately took Daisy out of there and he denied us the test results that we already paid for. Dr. Sangiorgio then proceeded to grab his crotch and say this is what youre getting when my father requested the test results. Daisy is now at the ASPCA, where within 15 minutes, she was looked at and I was informed that her kidney levels were off a bit but Daisy was IN NO CONDITION THAT REQUIRED HER TO BE PUT TO SLEEP!!!!!! Dr. Sangiorgio denied us and the ASPCA Daisys test results and kept Daisys health in jeopardy by not cooperating with the ASPCA....We will be taking further action...
