I was recommended to Dr. Acker and Elite Dental of Staten Island by friend. I initially came to see him for help with my sleep apnea. I havent been to a dentist in 15 or more years. I got an appointment right away and a second appointment a few days later for a cleaning. The first visit I had x-rays taken and a very through evaluation and consultation with Dr. Acker. I will admit that I was nervous about the cleaning. Man, was I wrong! Denise spent every minute of two hours cleaning my teeth. When I made the appointment, the girl told me to eat before I came. I assumed that was in case my mouth was sore afterward. After a two hour cleaning, during which I nodded out, my mouth was mildly sore. If felt like I was grinding me teeth a little. I had no trouble eating at all. No aspirin, no Tylenol, nothing. I came home to a follow-up phone message checking to see how I felt. All in all, I was impressed with the Dr., the staff and the treatment. If you havent been to a dentist for a while, this is the place to go.

I found Elite Dental online when I moved back to Staten Island this past August, and I needed emergency dental care. They were accommodating and friendly. I came into the office in pain and left feeling great. From there I asked Dr. Acker what might be done to have a healthier mouth and he did a complete examination and laid out a treatment plan in a clear, thorough and detailed way using state of the art technology that they have in-house. I’m well into the plan, and now after my last visit my mouth has never felt healthier or stronger. From Dr. Acker, to the ladies at the front desk, to the hygienist and assistants in the room, I have never been to a friendlier dentist office. There are just a few more sessions to go and then my normal cleanings and maintenance. The whole staff makes it so I never hate going to the dentist. Five Stars, folks! I know, who loves going to the dr or dentist? The entire staff at Elite Dental is friendly and gentle. They have this machine that even makes crowns, etc, right there on the spot. They are very high tech and extremely professional. Their price is a little higher than what I used to pay, but I am much more confident walking in the door. They seem to have a huge edge on their competition. I got into a quick conversation with the Dr Acker and he was explaining all the continuing education he does. He really seems to be on the top of his game, and his staff does too. Highly recommended
