Best vet ive been to on this island its seems like all the other heartless vets just wanted to do unessasary treatments on my dog when all she had was mange and dr v found that out in seconds i mean waiting there took a while i suggest to bring a friend with you time will fly it does smell but its the smell of talent if you ask me the guy worrys about the dogs more then how fancy his place looks thats a good sign. Also the thing that i liked was that the wait was long but when my dog got in there he checked her so quick and did some FREE test because it was mandatory i mean what more can you ask for. Then he come into the room slaped two big text books on the desk opend one showed me the exact parasite my dog had in here ear explaind how it lives what it does then opends another on and explaind all the medication he was giving me he is a very inteligent doctor also i felt like ive known him for years very FRIENDLY then when all was said and done i had all my meds and the bill came out to 96$ i gotta tell you i was suprised because i am use to seeing a 400 doller vet bill. I highly recomend this doctor and if you realy want to complain about the smell you shouldent have an animal then or go spend hundreds of doller in some fancy place

Dr. V and his Staff have taken care of me and my "Babies" for years. No matter what they are the most generous of heart and wallet. They will help you, and make sure that they do everything reasonable, but only in the the VERY BEST interest of the animal. They are the voices of reason, when often my emotions and worry are taking over and I have found them to be just as comforting to me, as they are with my pet. I have peace of mind knowing they are always there for us. I rescue cats, the cats rescue me, and Dr V and staff rescue us all. Just wanted to take the time to express my LOVE, GRATITUDE AND RESPECT. MY BABIES AND I ARE DOING GREAT BECAUSE OF ALL OF YOU. THANKS Forest Animal Hospital for all you do EVERYDAY, youre ALL AMAZING!!! Sheri Taylor and "Babies" Tabitha, Little Grey Girl, Big Buddy, Little Buddy, Spot, Cinnamon, Gwennie, and Mama Cat; AKA "Jennifer Grey"....Whos feeling so much better thanks to you all! XOXOXO

Dr. V is amazing, caring and very humane. Hes not in it just for the buck like everyone else Ive seen. His staff is also very friendly; however the office is outdated but that doesnt at all take away from his excellent services. Ive taken my 6wks old kitten to him because she has problems walking and he checked her out and told me theres nothing he or anyone can do to fix this issue and itll be corrected by itself when my cat matures. He refused to charge me ANY fees for seeing my kitten because as he said he cant fix anything in her although he took his time examining her and checking her bones to make sure nothing is fractured or broken, but he did it all on the house even though his office was packed and we did take well over 30min of his time for him to examine her.

Took my dog Jack to 2 other places first. NSAL told me he needed his toe amputated and it would cost me from $900 to $1200 and they would have to keep him for 2 or 3 days. Dr.V said I dont need to keep him you can take care of him and he charged me $550. He tells you to be quiet not to speak till hes done telling you everything. My kids found this to be so funny because I dont stop. Yes the smell isnt the nicest but I will always deal with it since he is so nice and explained to me that he really didnt even need that toe. So caring he is and his staff. I would like to thank them all for helping my family. I need to go back now because Jack has just been diagnose with diabetes. He will need insulin but will be okay.

My 1st time at Dr.V was 7/7/17 @ first my daughter & I was taken back by the smell and how its not so fancy like some of the other Vet places on SI. Theres no appointment given just walk-ins, which @ 1st I didt like but as I signed in and waited to be seen I began to speake with other pet owners and how Dr.V is and the staff are so great. After I was call Dr.V came in and exmaned my pup. He explained so much to me and even allow my daughter to give my pup his 1st shot. Dr.V is not about $$$ he really loves what he does. It was by far the best experience I have with a Vet in a very long time. I will 100 thousand % recommend Dr.V - Forest Animal Hospital. He will be forever be my Doctor Do-little LOL......

Dr. Villadelgado and his amazing staff especially Maggie, are new in my life. They are the best of the best, if you really care for your pets you must bring them there. They are so genuinely caring and professional, with so much obvious expertise!.. I wish I would have gone to them sooner, unfortunately it was too late for my dear Frankie, who was already too sick to help, but in her last 2 weeks Dr. V and his staff did everything possible to help her until she passed. I felt so comfortable with the doctor and maggie almost like family and put my complete trust in them and i am a crazy pet owner. Im just so thankful that they are there to help not for the money as most places are these days!

This vet is the best i ever went to. He gives great prices and he understands not everyone can afford to spend so much. Without me asking he let my cat stay more than 3 days overnight for free to watch over her. Unfortunately she had an incurable disease and passed away but this doctor showed much sympathy and concern. I appreciate what a good man he is. He is not out to get your money. He really does care and he deserves so much for all the hard work he does. He called multiple times to let me know the progress of my animal and even called on his day off to tell me my cat has passed.

This is the perfect, no frills vet. Yes, the waiting room is a little smelly and its crowded and a little dingy. But, the care you get is great- the doctor cares for every animal that comes in as if it was his own and the prices are very reasonable. When we first rescued our kitten, she was only 2-3 weeks old-- I brought her in and Dr. V told me she was too young to get any vaccines or anything, but still gave her a once-over, gave me tips on caring for such a young kitten, and even gave me a few cans of kitten food, all at no charge. I doubt many other vets would do the same.

Yes, you may have to wait to be seen, but the atmosphere is all love. Dr. V is a great Vet. and a laugh out loud, hoot. He IS the best and when you leave, you leave smiling. Maggie works so hard and is so kind and understanding, she absolutely amazes me. I dont know the names of the other staff, but they are all about love. Yes, they charge far less than other Vets, but are all about love. The very fact that you sometimes have to wait, fades away quickly at the care they provide. Positively, the BEST place to bring your dog or cat! Its all about the LOVE!!!
