Love! Love! Love! Started going here because my sister raved about the staff and doctors after her 3 min pins fell in love with everyone there and were taken such great care of. From the moment I purchased my Yorkie Poo I knew I wasnt taking her anywhere but here. They have been there to any and all of my random concerns and questions. West Hempstead Animal Hospital has always been very accessible and accommodating. Since going there my family has decided to takes German Shepherd/Husky there as well. He LOATHES the drs office and has been known to attack drs and staff. But when we brought him here there was a huge difference. Not only did they make him less nervous but also comfortable. West Hempstead Animal Hospital did his surgery as well and as a 15 year old dog we were all worried but they were amazing. They saved my dogs life and we are forever grateful. I can rave and rave about West Hempstead Animal Hospital but Ill cut my dissertation short and just hope you try them for yourself! They are amazing!

This place is a big scam!! Hopefully no one else will be fooled by the 5 star reviews, I am sure the employees racked it up. Nothing positive to talk about this place, a rip off. Charge $500 for an antibiotic and pain medicine. Then they want to charge $10 to $200 range for everything where $10 being the "usual" price as they say and it can go up to $200 depends upon the time it takes and you have to leave the pet with them for the whole day (so I asked what will stop you from charging me $200 instead of $10, they didnt have answer), they are cruising on the fact that the pet cant talk about how long they took and what they did. They dont have a fixed price for anything instead they have a range!. Really!!? you know what you doing and give me a price, not a range and dont tell me the range depends on how long it will take!!. This place is a total rip off. Stay out.

We are in sync with the 5 previous reviews. Dr. DeVito and staff are ver compassionate and caring and have always been there for the many cats that we have had as her patients. In emergencies Dr Angi and staff have always gone the extra mile to be there for us. On a Saturday at almost closing time, I had to call because I knew my cat who was in the last stages of his life would not make it through the weekend. They told us to bring him immediately and helped us to say goodbye and allowed us to stay and grieve. Dr Angi and staff has taken care of all of our animals and we wouldnt have it any other way. Dont know what wed do without them. We have been with WHAH since 1980 and will continue to do so. We highly recommend them. And we continue to thank them for all they do for our "children". I was referred to West Hempstead Animal Hospital by my yorkie, Bellas, breeder, who lives in the area. I travel 20 minutes to get here, even though I have at least 5 veterinary offices only 10 minutes from my home. The care Bella receives is unparalleled, from the moment an appointment is made, to diagnosis, to necessary medication and aftercare. I have dealt mostly with Dr. DeVito and Dr. Goldberg, but today I also dealt with another female veterinarian, who answered all of my questions thoroughly. The only reason I rated the office a 4 out of 5 is that sometimes the wait time is extremely long. However, we would never go anywhere else with our Bella.

I brought my cat there last week from having allergies and by already having a bad experience at another Vet in Hicksville I wasnt sure what would be a good place to bring my cat. The Veterinarian there was friendly, knowledgeable and honest. My cat never let likes going to the Vet but for some reason she loved the visit at this place. If your looking for a good vet this is the place to go but dont judge a book by its cover for its not the fanciest place but the quality of work you will be very satisfied with. Im so happy I brought my cat to West Hempstead Animal Hospital.

My experience has always been good. I bring my pet from Manhattan to West Hempstead Animal Hospital because charges for care are more reasonable. I get frequent email reminders of my pets status with respect to vaccinations and I have always been able to get an appointment to have my pet seen. I believe the Veterinarians at West Hempstead Animal Hospital are genuinely interested in pet health. My expeience with Manhattan Vets has been that they are only interested in charging as much as possible for procedures and meds that are not really necessary.

I cannot say enough about West Hempstead Animal Hospital. We were referred to them by the breeder we purchased our dog from. All of the doctors there are amazing and caring along with the vet techs and entire staff. Our 11 week old puppy had to spend a few days in their hospital due to an upper respiratory infection. They took amazing care of him and were extremely helpful with any questions and concerns we had. I am so glad to have found such a caring and honest place to bring our pup to.

I switched to WH animal hospital 2 years ago and they have been amazing since day 1. They always are extremely nice, professional, and do everything they can for you and your pet. Their prices are very reasonable. When my cat passed away they called to express their condolences and even sent a card. Now I bring my new puppy their and again they are amazing. I have had a couple friends switch to them and they all have been very happy. I would recommend them to anyone I know.

This is the best place in the world! I have been bringing my dog here for 7 years and they are so understanding and treat my animal so special. The prices are also fair. This is what a vet should be. When I came without an appointment, I was welcomed. Of course I wouldnt show up without an apt unless it was an emergency, and I was helped right away. I have recommended them to people and they also were very impressed. I wouldnt bring my dog anywhere else.

The overall experience was an extremely rewarding one. It was our first time to the West Hempstead Animal Hospital with our cat, Vlad, who we had recently gotten from an animal shelter. Dr. Goldberg, as well as the staff, were professional, kind, patient and caring. Went there feeling anxious and concerned, left feeling relieved and serene. The doctors and staff are great. The office has hours in the evening and on the weekend. Each and every time my pets have been seen, the treatment or exam has always been about what is the best for my pet not about what is easiest. Every condition has be treated properly with no problems. I would not consider having anyone else take care of my pets.
