East Valley Dermatology Center is a skin care clinic located at 1100 S Dobson Rd, Chandler, AZ 85286, USA. The clinic operates from 8 AM to 4:30 PM and has a rating of 3.4.
Patients have reported a smooth check-in process, with several employees at the front desk to assist. The clinic also has a small pharmacy on-site, allowing patients to pick up medications immediately after their appointments. One patient mentioned that their rash was effectively treated after months of suffering.
Patients have expressed concerns about the wait time for appointments. One patient mentioned that their appointment was delayed by 17 minutes, leading them to leave the clinic and demand a refund for their co-payment.
Another patient expressed disappointment in the clinic's time management, stating that the delays were not a one-time occurrence but a consistent issue. The patient suggested that the clinic should consider reorganizing their appointment schedules to accommodate for these delays.
Patients have praised the doctors for their thoroughness and attentiveness. One patient particularly appreciated that the doctor took the time to explain the diagnosis and treatment plan in detail.
The experience with nurse practitioners has been less positive. One patient mentioned that they were referred to a plastic surgeon for a procedure they believed could have been handled at the clinic. The patient felt that the nurse practitioner was unprofessional and not attentive to their needs.
The reviews indicate a mixed experience at East Valley Dermatology Center. While the medical staff, particularly the doctors, receive praise for their expertise and attentiveness, there are concerns about wait times and time management. Patients appreciate the convenience of the on-site pharmacy but are less pleased with the delays in appointment schedules.

I dont typically write reviews (who has the time!) but I have to say something about East Valley Dermatology Center. I feel it is rare to have such a good experience at a doctors office these days thus my inspiration for this review. I was also at another dermatology office recently with a less than stellar outcome, especially since they didnt fix my problem (a bad rash on my face that would go away for months). Easy check-in process...I filled out the online forms before the office visit and within a few minutes was checked in. They have several employees taking patients at the front window (I have never see an so many check in windows at a doctors office) and a nice team working hard behind them processing everything. Everyone was very pleasant and kind at the front. Within a minute of checking in I was called back to my exam room. Keep in mind this was several minutes before my appointment was even scheduled...this has never happened in my life of going to a doctors office! The nurse asked me about my visit and I described my concerns. She left and within a minute and Dr. Falsey came into the room. This was a few minutes before my appointment time actually started. This doctor was amazing. He very kindly introduced himself with a smile and asked my about my work, kids and he sat down next to me (most doctors just seem to stand near the door, ready to leave at any moment). Together we reviewed the information his nurse had collected and the other information in my chart. He asked me several questions about my rash and within a few minutes he already had a diagnosis and treatment plan. Dr. Falsey spent several minutes describing the rash, what causes it and how to treat it and even gave me a handout about the condition. Like any good patient I had a few other questions about sunscreen and skin care also. Dr. Falsey didnt skip a beat, answering my questions and providing a few more handouts as I am guessing these questions come up frequently in a dermatology office. At the end of the visit, he even asked me if I had any other questions, concerns, or skin problems that he could address. My last dermatologist just looked at me for a few seconds, rattled off some treatments to the nurse and basically left the room. After the visit with Dr. Falsey, I was even able to pick up medications at the office as they have a small "pharmacy" in the clinic. I have never seen this in a doctors office and it is very nice not having to stop at my Walgreens to get my medications. Fast forward a few weeks and my rash is gone, after months of suffering with it. If I could post one negative to try and be fair and balanced, it would be the wait time for an appointment. To be fair, I could have seen a PA or nurse in a few days but wanted to see a doctor give my battles with this rash and it seems the MDs at the practice are booked out anywhere from a few weeks to several months. Dr. Falsey did say he had emergency slots available same day or next day in most circumstances for urgent matters and I cant say that my condition was urgent, just really annoying. Now, I figure a longer wait time for the docs is a good thing, it means the doctors are good and people want to see them. So, I highly recommend east valley dermatology center and Dr. Falsey. I will be back if any other skin problems arise in the future.

This letter was sent to both the office manager (Jenny Davis) and the Principal (Rosemary Geary) on Jun 21st 2013. I hope other people see this review and consider the wait time they will incur if they go to this office. >>>>>> I am writing to you due to the disappointing experience I have each time I have visited your office. As I searched the internet for similar issues, I am not alone in this complaint, or on the same day when I visit your office. My last visit was scheduled for 8:15am on Jun 19th, 2013 with Tamara, where I was not called to the examining room until 8:32am which the nurse then went over a few things for today’s appointment. It was 8:47am when I left the room and proceeded to the checkout counter demanding my co-pay check to be returned to me. Because this was not the first time that this delay on your staff’s behalf occurred, this was the first time I left and ask for my co-payment to be returned to me. This is very poor time-management on your staff’s behalf and after a year from my prior appointment, it has not improved. Additionally, there were two other patients in the lobby that reminded the front desk of their scheduled appointment time; which both of them were at least 20 minutes behind schedule. I’m sure due to your lack of time-management, every other patient in that office that day, week or month did not have an on-time scheduled appointment. If this is how your practice is operated on a daily basis, I’m surprised there hasn’t been a change. I’m sure our little co-payment to you on each visit is only a tiny 10% of your total charge to the insurance companies, we should not be treated as 10% of your practice. If you are unable to keep the time of your scheduled appointments from day-to-day, then you should think about breaking out your appointments to allow for this lack of time-management your practice is unable to correct. Furthermore, even though I had an appointment and actually sat in an exam room, I hope my insurance company was not charged for any appointment fee from your practice. Additionally, I do not want any interruption or fees associated to my account or future Dermatologist’s office when I ask to have ALL my records transferred to their office. My time is value to me, but when my appointment cannot be honored by your practice due to poor time-management, there is no effort or ability for me to return. As I post this letter on Google’s review page for other patients to see, I hope they realize that a practice like yours is still in ‘practice’ and needs much more improvement when honoring their patients’ time. I saw nurse practitioner Tamara Casillas. I was hesitant to see a nurse practitioner but the scheduling receptionist assured me that she could do everything that anyone who worked at their facility could do. I specifically explained I had a mole of 5mm I wanted removed. It had been shaved and had a biopsy by a different dermatologists office and it just returned to form. The biopsy ruled out any skin cancer and I had the results sent to East Valley Dermatology so I could avoid any repeat charges (if possible). I sat in a procedure room for about 15 minutes most of which was listening to Ms. Casillas talk to someone just outside the door, about her weekend and other patients to someone she worked with, hopefully. She was in the procedure room with me for 3 minutes and 53 seconds. She looked at my skin problem, said it needed to be removed, looked over the notes on the biopsy results I had sent to their office and told me she wanted to refer me to a plastic surgeon. She said she could do the procedure but didnt want to because of possible scarring. I said I wasnt really concerned about the very small scar it would cause but she insisted I see her referred plastic surgeon who had a 9 week out time about something that needed to be removed. Unprofessional and a waste of my time and money. She apparently had other things to do besides her job at her place of work. Just my personal experience but seemed like a person in the wrong profession if you are working on and with people but have no regard for their needs and wants.
