I was disappointed. I had several concerns during my appointment. Although weve lived in AZ 5 yrs, we continued to see our Optometrist from across the country b/c we held him in such high regard. Recently, however, an Ophthalmologist recommended we consider seeing Dr. Cooley "because shes one of the best". When making the appointment I specifically asked for her. I was not told that the appointment made was with another doctor. We discussed insurance and I was made aware of a $159 out of pocket expense which I agreed to. We were surprised by the entrance of Dr. Filatova. She did not take a comprehensive medical history, despite quite a significant history. The primary complaint was that the vision in one eye had changed significantly since her Aug 2016 eye visit. She confirmed this, offered no explanation as to why this would be and made no recommendation to medically investigate or monitor. When asked, her counseling was very limited, she simply changed the prescription and brought us to check-out. Once there, we learned of an additional charge not mentioned while scheduling. Without saying a word, fees were reviewed ($159 became over $200), no prescription was provided, contacts were given to try with a requirement to return to supposedly receive a prescription and to purchase contacts. The choices of contacts were twice the cost of online sources despite multiple discounts and a requirement to wait for $100 rebate in order to get that price. I felt I was in a sales rather than a medical space and I felt pressure to purchase which I hadnt ever felt from my previous OD. There was little interest in the health of my daughters eyes and maximum focus on sales.

I purchased a pair of glasses from Val Vista Vision as their selection was amazing. There was a problem with the prescription that I had brought from a previous doctor and my vision through one lens was not as sharp as it needed to be. I was able to schedule an appointment immediately to get my concerns addressed. Patricia was extremely helpful in listening, ordering a new lens and making sure I would be satisfied . Dr. Eskew was very thorough in rechecking my eyes and spending the time to correct the issue. The customer service I received was excellent and I will be a regular patient.

Dr. Cooley-Staley is ABOSLUTELY amazing and definitely cares to take the time to explain proper eye care and prevention unlike doctors I have visited in the past. I also worked with Andrea and she was fun to interact with and extremely helpful throughout my entire visit. Between glasses and contacts, eye care can be very expensive and they offer great incentive for anyone purchasing both from their office. I have found my permanent optometrist! No question about it, I would recommend them to anyone!

My whole family have been patients of Dr. Cooley-Staley for at least 15 years and we always have wonderful, attentive and thorough service from Dr. Cooley-Staley and all of the staff. We have fun discussions and conversations because theyve known us all for so long even though we see them only once a year. We get excellent service, exams and products too! Between our family members we have purchased glasses frames, had lenses replaced, prescription sunglasses, driving lenses and contacts.

Wow, Best eye exam I have had in years! Learned so much more about my eyes as they age, why previous glasses were bad and my vision so poor with last provider. Explained new eye wear and contact products and what will work best for me. Very impressed!! Dr Cooley-Staley was amazing. Very thorough. Saved hundreds from the last doctors office, seems the other place I had been going to, although took my insurance, did not utilize it very well.

Just got done with my first appointment. Being a -18 prescription, Ive been to a number of eye doctors in my life. The staff here was top notch. Friendly, helpful, and even a little funny. The doctor really cared and discussed all of my concerns with me. I spent nearly 3 hours there during one of the busiest days and it was pleasant. Highly recommended.
