This is the only place I have ever taken my girls to, and have refered numerous people. However this last experience was a nightmare. I absolutely love the optometrist, but the customer service was horrible. I ordered my daughter glasses, it took 3 weeks and calling 3 times before we were able to pick them up. Once we got them, she complained about not being able to see. I called the office again. The woman on the phone said "maybe have her teacher move her up in class"... at that point I was beyond frustrated. I said no, she needs to have her vision fixed. The woman on the phone said to give it two weeks until her eyes adjust. Then the arm on her glasses broke off. I drive all the way from Tempe to east mesa for them to say, lets reschedule an eye check. Went back the following week. Turns out the prescription in her lenses were not the prescription the optometrist had ordered. My poor daughter had to suffer headaches for the past 3 weeks. Not only that, I also had to purchase new frames even though I dont believe it was her fault that they broke. Nothing was done for my wasted time, gas, or having my daughter miss school. Its a shame that the older front desk lady has no customer service skills and has ruined this place for my children and I. I can only hope that the optometrist will see this and make some adjustments to his staff. Until then, we will not be back.

First, if I could rate Dr. Olsen separately I absolutely would give him 5 stars, he is a fantastic eye doctor, friendly and thorough. The office staff I cannot say the same about. My boyfriend needed to get in to the eye doctor before the end of the year to use insurance benefits and I recommended Dr Olsens office after previous good experiences, we were happy that Red Mountain Eye Care was able to fit him in for Friday morning. He took off work to get in to the appointment but when he showed up was told that his significant other had called in and moved the appointment to the following week, which was a lie. I think the lie is what bothers us the most about this experience. Next time, admit that the mistake was on your end and do something to correct it. Despite Dr Olsen being a great doctor we will be taking our business elsewhere.

This place screwed up my glasses prescription on 2 separate occasions months apart, they also did the same to my wife 1x in the same time period. They tried to change my Rx even though I said I get headaches from there "expert" recommendation. Their "Dr" >cough< and staff argued with ME over how I see, and what I am comfortable with, then say have to come back for yet another exam a year later, to get another pair of the same Rx glasses. Nice and friendly people, but they over-complicate, fail to execute with precision and do not understand the concept of wasted time to get to the same result = hassle. Save your frustration and go elsewhere. The convenience of their location to my home has been negated by their operational inefficiency.

Wow...called there office because our eye doctor was not available. A Family member was having a eye issue. Lady on the phone was rude and only cared about who my insurance company was. I only wanted to know if they had a eye doctor that could see us today. After calling other eye doctors we eventually just went to urgent care. It amazes me that this place is still open. The optometrist must be really good because his office staff has the worst customer service.

Worst costumer service for an office staff EVER! Fom the oldest employee to the youngest, very rude. Left us outside in 110 degree weather for 10 minutes! 2 of the patients were children under 12! very rude very rude very rude and very very inconsiderate! we WONT be going back. ZERO costumer service ZERO organization, they tried to make us pay double for the glasses that we paid over $350 for.

I have been going to Dr. Olsen for many years now traveling about 45 minutes to his location. Dr. Olsen takes his time in giving me my options for contact lens trying to accommodate my astingmatism and far sightedness. He is very patient and determined to achieve the best vision I can possibly have. I would highly recommend Dr. Olsen.
