Went here on mistake being new to the area after making an appointment with a very similarly named clinic on the same road (I highly recommend THAT one) and I must say that although they still saw us I have never been compelled to write a bad review before now. The veterinarian was highly unprofessional, rude, and condescending, even though I am in the medical field. The worst part was that she told me she "should not have to routinely prescribe pain meds for spays" when I requested some for my very painful newly adopted dog who had just been spayed at the shelter. Um, pain meds for major abdominal surgery is standard practice now, if you dont want to keep animals comfortable then retire. Clinic was grimy and all the employees were unfriendly and uninterested in my dog, which I thought was weird. Also, they didnt bother to tell me I DIDNT HAVE AN APPOINTMENT when I called them on my way, which would have saved everyone a lot of trouble as we would have gone to the correct place instead.

NEVER GO HERE!!!!! I give this place a -5 star rating!!! I regret not walking out when I could hear the vet yelling at the poor animal getting treated in the room next to us, she finally came in to treat my cat and same thing started yelling and screaming at her to hold still while they clipped her nails and shaved her back. Of course she was scared my poor cat is blind! After getting treated there twice there was no improvement and I had to take her else where. This lady should have retired YEARS ago she is like 80 years old! NOT FRIENDLY WHATSOEVER TO THE ANIMALS, OWNERS , OR HER OWN STAFF. They didnt tell me what treatments they were doing and just started going to town and charge me for every little thing! After paying hundreds of dollars my first visit I came back (hoping for a better outcome) and he told me that they undercharged me and I had to pay an additional fee! I had never had a worse experience anywhere!

many years ago i was searching for a nearby kennel for my large dog so that my husband and i could go on vacation. i was shocked at the prices many kennels charged, and when i was shown were my dog would be kept, and the size of the cage i was ready to send my husband on the vacation without me! then i found east mesa animal hospital, dr. kern gave me a tour of the aera were the animals are kenneld and i was shocked at the large space my dog would be kenneld in. even more shocking was the more then affordable price. so that is how our history of going to emah started. it has been years now, and i have been bringing my animals to emah for care, both dr. kern and dr. guminski are very careing and know there stuff! i highly recommed them, the staff is friendly, the prices are very reasonable and they are just plain good!

Our rescue dog would have died. Dedicated, compassionate American work ethic with kindness and respect coming out of the (Number One) dedicated pet owners as well as the (Number Two) employees that have been here for years and years. This clinic has taken an abused, malnourished dog and (Number Three) our neighbors want the name of this place we drive twenty minutes away to go to because they saw this animal get healed. So, the waiting room is always having conversations, our neighbors see how far this stray has come, how strong this rescue is. Now, for my opinion, you are going to be blessed if you come here, but dont just ask me! These are the greatest Americans.

We have taken our Jasper to East Mesa accidentally, in place of another very similar named place that we had made an appointment with. At first I was irritated with them for not saving my a appt. Then I realized it wasnt so & that I was in the wrong place. They told me they could see my dog now. They took us back & we saw a very knowledge vet & she was able to see a much larger problem with Jaspers eye that he had created because of the issue we originally brought him in for. They were extremely reasonably prized & the meds didnt cost a fortune like some places. Overall, we were very pleased & will be taking Jasper back for a follow up soon.

The first time I brought Ginger (pit mix) here, she had been bit really badly by another dog. We cleaned and dressed it, but an infection began to develop and we called all over trying to get her in. East Mesa Animal Hospital squeezed us in and told us to bring her right away. The vet has a great presence with the animals and Ginger was so calm around her. They are truly great at what they do. After flushing it out, great instructions for care, and some antibiotics, we were on our way. She was all better after a few days, with no swelling in site. Reasonable prices and great care.

Dr. kern should have retired years ago. She is a menace to animals. Her negligence causes the death of pets that should not have died. Cases of ringworm and other contagious illnesses infect boarders then Dr. Kern charges the pet owners for treatment. I know people who have worked there and the horror stories are endless. I dont know why she still has a license to practice. She hires untrained, inexperienced, unempoyable young people that cannot pass a drug test elsewhere, calls them vet techs, then underpays and generally mistreats them.

They always treat our pets with great care. Dr. Guminski takes the time to explain whats going on. Shes always so great with our cats. We used to take our cats to a cat only vet in Glendale because we noticed that a lot of offices focused more on dogs than cats. When we moved to Mesa we needed a vet that was close but I wanted to make sure we found someone who really understood treating cats. We feel very comfortable in this office and I know that are cats are in great hands.

Never again will I take my cats here. I made an apt. For a first time visit. Walked in and could immediately tell half the staff were meth heads and walked out. I later did a little research and came to find a few of my friends had taken their pets here. Both their animals came home with worms and would flinch anytime their hand was above their head to pet them. Saw the reviews left for this place and Im not surprised. If you take your animals there, you should be punched.

I was injured there 15 years ago and have been treated like crap from the insurance company ever since now I have to have surgery again and theyre refusing to pay for the surgery its all based on the negligence of the crappy employees that they hire to take care of your animals I am permanently crippled for the rest of my life due to the disrespect you get there dont take your animals there if you love them

Dr Kern may lack a warm connection to humans but she knows how to diagnose and treat canines and felines well enough to earn my business for the past five years. The one star ratings all come from people who seem to have a personal vendetta against this place. I didnt give this business a perfect five stars because they arent perfect. Theyre good and their fees for service are very reasonable.
