From the moment I walked in the door, I felt at ease. Courtney greeted me and was cheerful and professional. Coco and I were greeted next by Matthew. Immediately you feel comfortable with Matt. He is very clear in the way he explains things to you. His genuine concern for both the animal the owner translates in his every word. Dr. Rosonke, immediately struck this great balance between casual talk and the task at hand. It helped ensure we were relating at a comfortable level. He maintained a professional demeanor, but made me feel at ease. He analyzed the situation, made appropriate recommendations and developed a workable solution. After Dr Rosonke left, Matt made sure I understood what we learned on that visit, next steps and how to best help Coco. I left more educated and confident in her care. The last participant in my Hillside adventure was Nikki (I think?). As with everyone, cheerful, professional and friendly. Start to finish my experience was first class. Thank you Hillside.

I have been to several different vets in the Phoenix area over the years, mostly based on what was close to home. A friend recommended Hillside based on their great experiences and I decided to give them a try even though its a long haul from where I currently live. I am so glad I did! The office is beautiful and the entire staff are so pleasant and helpful. Both of my dogs have had thorough exams and some treatment at Hillside and every visit has been perfect! Dr. Rosonke was very thorough in his examination and explanation and Matthew, the technician, was really friendly and handled my dogs as if they were his own. I was very impressed by the technology, treatment options, and credentials of Hillside Animal Hospital. I have great peace of mind that my dogs are getting the best vetrinary care. It is well worth the drive for me and my canine pals!

My cats and I have lived all over the country and been to many vets in many states. In my 20 years of being a cat Mom, Hillside Animal Hospital has, without question, been the best. The environment is peaceful and comforting - it feels good just walking in the door for both my cats and me. The staff are courteous, compassionate and attentive. My cats have been seeing Dr. Council, and they LOVE her! Its amazing to watch how gently and skillfully she handles them. She takes her time connecting with and examining them, thoroughly explaining things, and answering my questions. We moved away from Scottsdale two years ago, but we still take our cat to Hillside Animal Hospital despite the long drive, because they are simply the best and well worth the long drive!

I have become thoroughly disappointed with Hillside because they have become a money mill instead of a compassionate and caring facility. I have a very sick dog that requires medication. Two months ago they demanded that I bring in my dog for blood work before providing his prescription and I complied with that request. Now less that three months later they are demanding another checkup and fee before prescribing the required medication. In essence hold my dogs medication hostage in order to get another visit and more money. Very disappointed. Taking my sick dog elsewhere.

The staff and doctors are nice and compassionate but some of the doctors are young and does not have enough experience dealing with complicated situations. My cat end up dead after these guys could not figure out asthma in her, which my wife were saying ( she is a doctor) but they come up with all the diagnosis except the right one. I do not have anything against them personally, It seems like we were defeated at very stage and banging our head against the wall. This place may be good for minor stuff but not for complicated situations, please look everywhere before.......

We moved to AZ two years ago. Doctors and staff at Hillside are fantastic. Our dogs have had the usual assortment of ailments and Hillside always has helped us navigate through them. We also had to say farewell to a treasured dog; Hillside helped greatly through that process.

We have been going to Hillside and Dr. Rosonke since they opened and we have had nothing but exceptional service. For us it is a 45 minute drive but totally worth it for the care our pet receives.
