If I could give zero stars I would. Mel Bramley was very rude and made a very poor judgement call that resulted in a scared cat scrambling all over the room. I was told over the phone that they accept feral cat patients. I have a neutered male feral that is very friendly with me, I pet him everyday, but he is still feral with other people. Mel Bramely, the Senior of the father- son duo, was rude from the very beginning. He immediately started with saying that basically its not worth it to save, feed, home, or try to medically treat a feral cat. Basically saying they are better off dead, or sick, or starving. "Whats there to do with a sick feral?" he said. I said "Help them." Why are you even a Vet if you care that little for the homeless animals that we humans ensured exist in the first place? After he finally finished admonishing me for saving this cat, he gave a look at the cats eye (the reason I brought him in). He gave his best guess at what the problem could be but went on for awhile about not being able to really tell for sure because he wouldnt be able to handle the cat without anesthetizing him. Then out of nowhere he goes and opens the cage door and puts his hand inside, when the cat went for his hand he pulled back and left the door open and the cat got out and went crazy. I had him leave the room so I could deal with getting the cat back inside the cage. The cat was climbing the walls in terror. I was so upset, I ended up in tears. With the help of my mom who was with me in the room, we managed to get him to go back inside the cage with minimal scratches to us both. I left without the antibiotic eye drops and the receptionist let us leave without paying for the appointment. I care deeply about my animals emotional well being and this was a traumatic experience for this cat and very much for me as well. I will never be coming here again, whether house cat or feral cat.

My Yorkie, Otis had his bladder stone removal when we were back in Ohio. Today was the 2 week mark to have his stitches removed. I took him to the Eastside Animal Hospital because our regular vet was going to charge us $50 to have the stiches removed. The Eastside place did it for free since Otis and Roxy got their shots there back in April. Anyway, after sitting there for an hour and a half, we finally get put in a room and I was holding Otis towards the vet (Dan) so he could clip the stitches and pull them out. Two of Otis stitches had skin healed over them so he was super sensitive to them and get upset when the vet clipped those. I had to turn my back to the vet so Otis couldnt see him a few times just to try and calm him down. Well the vet got impatient and laid Otis down on the table ... with too much force. He was choking him to keep him still and I could see Otis grasping for air. He started to form little snot bubbles and then all of a sudden blood starting pouring out of his nose. The vet was holding him so tight that he was cutting off the blood supply to his little brain and was literally killing him. Hes only 7lbs! not 60! I was FURIOUS! I still am. The vet was able to get all of the stitches out after I yelled at him for Otis bleeding and I got Otis all cleaned up. We didnt have to pay a charge and Otis has been recovering from his traumatic incident all evening. He ate a little dinner and has been outside to potty a few times so he is absolutely acting normal but Im still upset. I mean pediatricians dont choke babies to stop them from crying, what the hell?!

Haha, I cant stop laughing at the Yorkie review. Im sorry, but dont you think a vet who "choked" a dog enough to make it bleed would be out of practice? I would definitely disregard that review. Ive taken my dog to Eastside since he was 8 weeks old (now 2) and Ive always been very pleased. My dog has seen both Dan and his father and I have nothing but good things to say about them. Theyve always been very informative about shots, allergies, and dog food suggestions for my dogs sensitive tummy. The only reason why I didnt rate them as "excellent" is because they dont accept appointments and have a first come first serve system. Im sure it works nicely for the staff, but it really stinks for us. Ive never waited less than 45 minutes to be seen and the waiting room is small, sometimes forcing people to stand or wait outside. (I guess its a good sign theyre always so busy. People must like them!) Ive been searching for a new vet just so I can have the convenience of appointments, but until then, Im happy with both of the Dr. Bramleys.

Ive owned dogs for over 20 years, so have been using vet clinics that long. In all these years, Ive never found a clinic as amazing as this one. I saw Dr. Bramley (the son), and he took so much time with me regarding a very difficult situation with my dog. Most vets Ive been to seem to want to see how fast they can get you in and out, no real sense of caring. This experience was different, there was no rushing and no seeing how much money they could extract from you before you left. Very reasonably priced and best vet experience Ive had in 20 years. You will not be disappointed I promise. As others mentioned, they do not take appointments so its first come first serve. But I actually like that approach better. If you are having an emergency with your pet, you can be seen same day. My wait time was about 45 min. which wasnt too bad. Rachelle C.

I have been taking my dogs to Eastside Animal Hospital for 10 years now. The son and dad who run the place are fantastic. I prefer the son because he loves big dogs and since we have had rottweilers and pit bulls it is a good fit. They have put down 2 of our old dogs and they were so kind and patient. Putting a dog to sleep is a heartbreaking experience but it felt nice to know that they truly cared. We currently have 2 dogs with bad allergies and every time we come in for the allergy shots we never feel rushed. The vet will sit and answer any amount of questions we have without being impatient. My pets are my family and I would not trust there heath with anyone else. We have moved all over the valley and we will continue to make the drive to get the great care that my pets deserve.

I have been taking my dogs there for about 10 years . I love this animal hospital and can not say enough good things about it. I will never take any of my animals any where else . I tell everyone i know about it. This is a family run business where they truly care about you and your pet. Dr .Branley is very personable and funny. His father is also fun to talk to. The Doctors are very knowledgeable and will never run expensive tests just to make a buck . They will always give you a honest straight answer. They are also very affordable. I truly feel like when I take my dogs here they are in the best care possible. On a side note they are very busy. If you dont want to wait a long time get there promptly when they open!
