I am so pleased with Ark Animal Hospital. My cat has feline stomatitis, which is a really tricky condition to deal with. After a full mouth extraction and daily immunosuppressant didnt fully clear up her problem, I was having her treated by a veterinary dentist, who was doing a fine job. But he was far from our home and expensive, considering I was taking the cat in for a shot every 2 months when her throat got so bad that she stopped eating. Our regular vet was also far from our home, so in an attempt to save some time, I moved her treatment to Ark, since its a <5 minute drive. I expected to just have Dr. Hatfield continue to administer the shots when her throat got inflamed and painful. Of course he gave her the shot she needed, however Dr. Hatfield didnt just settle for that. Since my cat is such a tough case, Dr. Hatfield started researching ways to treat stomatitis beyond what the dentist was doing, and he called me with a list of possible treatments so I could start looking into them as well. I tried a few of his suggestions, while continuing her shots and daily medicine. We finally found that his suggestion of fighting the bacteria in her mouth by using things like a water additive and anti-microbial spray seems to be the extra layer of treatment we needed. Its been a bit over 4 months since her last shot and her throat and gums look great, which is amazing considering she needed a shot every other month for the year before that. Im so happy that Dr. Hatfield took the time to look for ideas beyond what the vet dentist was doing. I was so pleased with the cats treatment that I moved our dogs care to Ark as well, and he has also received great treatment. Dr. Hatfield always takes the time to really explain issues, discuss options, and answer questions.

I brought my cat into Ark Animal Hospital because my cat wasnt breathing well at all. At first the staff seemed kind and compassionate but when it came down to paying for the visit during a time of crisis for my kitty and I. One of the ladies, turned straight into an impatient money hungry jerk. . she was so wretched about me paying during the most inappropriate time. . . After the doctor told me about her condition and how she probably wasnt going to make it, I made the heart wrenching choice of letting my sweet sweet girl rest in peace, where she didnt have to suffer any more. I was being harassed for money while trying to have the last moments of my kittys life be peaceful and stress free as possible. . . .I understand that the company needs to make sure they will get paid but its another thing when I am spending the last minutes of my cats life trying to keep her calm, she came in and ruined that moment. . . She just seemed so cold hearted. I will say there was one nurse that was there with me, compassionate and understanding, had gone through the same thing with her kitty. I couldnt bare to see my cat put down, so I asked her to pet my cat for me and keep her calm during the euthanization because I just couldnt watch. Id give that nurse 5 stars!!! The other nurse however, I wouldnt recommend hiring her ANYWHERE. Inconsiderate person. Dr. Hatfield was efficient and professional and took the time to call another hospital specialist. I truly appreciate it.

About 2 years ago, my cat started having issues eating. Not long after his eating problems began he started making gagging sounds and wouldnt eat his food. For a week I tried my best to get him to eat and I could see him starving to death. We took him down to Ark and they diagnosed him with Stomatosis. Apparently his teeth were rotting from the inside out and it was causing painful blisters in his mouth which resulted in the gagging and starvation. The proceedure wasnt cheap, but I love my cat and the people at Ark didnt hesitate to help me save him. They were great about everything and even let me see his teeth that they had to take out. They saved his life, and they were more than happy to help. Without them, I wouldve lost the best cat Ive ever had. Hes been happier and healthier than ever since that surgery.

A couple of years ago cat (Thunder) became very ill. He lost over 7 pounds and could not eat and while we were very afraid he would die, we were also quite concerned about the cost of having him treated..... I took him to see Dr. Hatfield and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. His helpful and knowledgeable staff helped me deal not only with my babys illness but with the financial strain as well! Treatment wasnt cheap but they went out of their way to make the whole process as easy as possible. They were incredibly caring and thoroughly professional and I would highly recommend ARK to anyone who needs to find a good veterinarian! Its no exaggeration to say that they saved my cats life. Thanks Dr. Hatfield and the ARK staff, Thunder and I are both grateful. :)

About three month ago we took our Guido to Ark and they diagnosed him with lymphoma, after 2 month we have to put him down, the staff members were so compassionate and help us go thru the process with compassion and care, explaining to us every little detail and allowing me to be with him until the end and when I left the room because I could not take it...They came back later and got me to say good bye to my loving Guido. I greatly appreciate the wonderful staff members who sent us a beautiful hand written note from the doctor showing there sympathy for our loss. I am so thankful to have people who care and understand about what is going on while losing your love once. Thank you

My parents have a Shih Tzu, as does my brother. I am in charge of taking them to their appointments. Both dogs have very different personalities (one is high strung and scared of everything, the other is laid back even with his chronic allergies!). The staff is extremely sensitive to each ones needs. It is obvious they all have a deep love for the animals that they care for. I have now purchased my first puppy (a shorkie), and who else would I take her to? Thank you Ark Animal! We love you guys. - Christi, Scott, & Alice - Chewy, Bella, & Itchy Todd ;)

I would never ever use Ark Animal Hospital. They were are vet for many years. I have a 2 year old pug. she went in for a check up and I was told she needed 10 teeth pulled. I as floored so I got a second opinion. She only needed 1 baby tooth pulled. Its been years now and we have had no teeth issues with her. The vet got on the phone and told me how bad this needed to be done. Do not use this vet they will butcher your animals and do unneeded tests. Get a second opinion before putting your pets thru any surgery. I did and my pug has all her teeth.

I got my puppy a month ago and I didnt know where to take him for all his shots. I did research did see a few bad reviews on this place but I tried them anyway. I Was very happy. They took my puppy Kedo in by the next day, and Doctor explained everything to me what shots needed to be done and didnt do anything extra. He gave me antibiotic for my little boys cough and he had some worms he made sure everything was ok. The staff was very friendly and I just reccommeded my friend go there. Thank you
