I cant say enough good things about this veterinary hospital. Our cat Paks swallowed nerf ammo about a month ago and started vomiting. So we called up Wilsons and asked them if we could have an appointment, and without hesitation, they said just to bring her in and the doctor would take a look at her in between visits. So we took her in and gave her the treatment she needed. They monitored her and determined she didnt need surgery because everything was passing through okay. They gave her some anti-nausea medicine and something to help pass everything through more easily. We got our kitty home in 2 days and were surprised at how low the vet bill was at the end. Fast forward to last week, on Christmas, our cat found something else to ingest, even though we had taken great care to ensure everything was picked up and neat and tidy and out of her reach. Somehow she found something else to eat. Only this time we werent as lucky. We were hoping that this would pass, much like the nerf ammo the month prior. On Christmas she was puking, but she was drinking. The next day, she seemed to improve, since she was eating and drinking, but she still remained lethargic. So we kept an eye on her. Come that Friday, she wasnt looking good at all and wouldnt eat or drink anything, so we ended up having to take her to the ER at Cottonwood Animal Hospital. They were very kind, but very pricey (as most ERs are). We asked them if we could transfer her to Wilson because we love how thorough and trustworthy he is. Not that Cottonwood isnt, but we all know that vet bills are expensive as it is. Just the IV of fluid, tests, and x-rays came out to over $600. So come Saturday morning, I called Wilsons again the second they opened. They had a cancellation at 9:30 am, so they gave us that appointment. We went to pick up our kitty from Cottonwood and drove her over there to make the appointment, and again, I cant rave enough about Dr. Wilsons attentiveness to our kitty. He was very thorough in her examination and did everything he could to see if surgery was a necessity, much like the month prior with the nerf ammo incident. Alas, we were not as lucky as before and she ended up needing surgery. He stayed after hours on Saturday to take care of our kitty and updated us on her status once surgery was over. Then again on Sunday to update us on her post-op status. Were still waiting to take our kitty home today, but Wilson called this morning to let us know she was ready to come home. If youre looking for a vet, I highly recommend this one. :)

Dr. Wilson is such a kind hearted, wonderful person. He has true passion for animals. A few years ago when I got my first dog, Princess. she ate some rat poison as a puppy. I was devastated. He took her in, treated her, and saved her life. A few months after, my same dog had a "cherry eye", after someone kicked her. He performed surgery, and fixed her right up. That was all back in 2010. Fast forward to 2017. In late June, I felt some lumps around Princess nipples, and I panicked. I did some research and was scared that they would be mammary tumors. Princess was never spayed, and I didnt know that pups that werent spayed were at a high risk of tumors. We took her in to her surgery. We then were told that due to Princesss labs, he felt it wasnt safe to do the procedures, because she was at risk for infection. She was put on antibiotics for the next month. When she was through with that, we took her in for surgery. She was operated, and made a full recovery. I am so thankful for everyone at Wilson Veterinary. Now she lounges around as always, and even plays with our younger dog from time to time. If you have a dog, you know really what they mean to you. Princess is like my kid. I love her so much. I cant say enough good things about Dr. Wilson, and whats hes done to help our beloved Princess. Shes been through so much, and Id give anything to make sure shes okay. Least but not last... The price is unbeatable. I had taken Princess to another vet for an estimate. They had said $889!! Once we called up at Dr. Wilson, we were told it would be around $650. In preparation for it all, we set up a GoFundMe to help us out. When we went up for the payment, I was shocked that the total was only $532!! I could not believe it. With the money was raised from GoFundMe which was $238, we paid the difference. This place is simply the best. Everything worked out perfectly. Thank you Dr. Wilson for helping us out with our Princess!

We adopted a puppy who came with no medical background information at all. A week later, her skin went haywire! For two months we went around to different vets in the area trying to get an answer for what was going on with her skin–pink, itchy, weeping, hives, smelly, just all around a huge nightmare. Three other vets in the area vaguely attributed her discomfort to "allergies" and prescribed different medicines but then never followed up, and nothing changed...we heard about the magical Dr. Wilson from a lady at CAWS, made an appointment with him, and at our appointment, hed diagnosed our dog with mange within ten minutes. He showed me the slide of her skin sample under the microscope and pointed out the mites and answered my 10+ questions. Our dog went through treatment and is now completely mange-free. Not to mention, she LOVES the very friendly staff and especially Dr. Wilson—she LEAPS from the car to get inside and see him. Could not be happier with this animal-whispering, kind, experienced, and talented vet and staff.

In my experiences, Dr. Jim Wilson is a veterinarian because he truly cares about animals and their humans. I have nothing to say but great things for Dr. Jim Wilson. There are other vets in the office that I dont have experience with because I wait for an appointment with Dr. Wilson. My sweet beagle Abbey had kidney failure & Dr. Wilson was kind & knowledgeable throughout her treatment & very compassionate when it became time for her to get her angel wings. He knows who I am and, more importantly, he actually knows who my pets are by name...not just their symptoms. I realize that he may have to check the chart for some of them, but he knew Abbey and that was extremely important to me. As long as Dr. Wilson practices, he will be my kids doctor. I will say that a few of the counter employees can be a little off-putting and Ive had to just smile & wait for my appointment, but Dr. Wilson is worth that small bother. The rest of the employees there are great.

I have never come in contact with a veterinarian with so much love and compassion for animals before. I have never really left a vets office feeling like my animal was given the best care there was to offer because I am on a strict budget, not here. Dr. Wilson treated my girl as if she were his own and gave me way more accurate information about her ailment than the clinic where I got her diagnosed primarily! Also, it must be noted that I was not overcharged, slipped any fees "in fine print", and treated like Id been there a million times in the past. I will never visit another vet as long as I am in the state of Utah. If you have animals and you love them, take them to someone who will treat them the way you want them to be treated! THANK YOU DR. WILSON AND STAFF!!!!!!!!!!
