Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with Dr. Fang. She misdiagnosed my skin rash. UCSF, from the biopsy, came to the conclusion it was one of 3 possibles and Dr. Fang said it was definitely something it was not. It cost me a lot of money to fumigate our home, clean everything, do laborious treatments over all of the body with caustic creams and pay the derm bill. I ended up going to Mayo Clinic and after they did a prompt biopsy on scalp and body, it was contact dermatitis. (the UCSF biopsy said one of the 3 possibilities was contact dermatitis, however, Dr. Fang said it was definitely one of the other 2) I know skin can be tricky to diagnose, but I never saw the other 2 possibilities on the UCSF biopsy...until I had Fangs office fax the results to another derm office in the Bay Area that thought it was probably contact dermatitis....

Great doctor, awful receptionist. I called in to cancel in plenty of time before my appointment, but because I didnt reschedule, the charged me for a no-show. The receptionist was very rude. I told her that I needed to know the date of the next appointment because I couldnt wait more than a week. She then told me that I had to pay the fee for a no show before I could hear the dates. So I paid and then she told me that a date nearly two months away was the soonest I could get in. Horrible service from a very rude receptionist. Will never come back.

Ive been to many dermatologists for acne and none of their treatments worked for me. In March, I visited Dr. Fang and she worked wonders! She helped me work out a routine that kept my oily skin under control, and helped me get rid of some stubborn spots that I had had for 2 years!
