If there was a higher rating than Excellent Id give it to them. Dr. Franquelin is one of those rare people who seems to genuinely care about every animal that comes through the door. Ive been taking my two dogs there for over 3 years, and now I bring my cat (with kidney failure) there too. Dr. Franquelin takes time to explain everything thats going on with your pet, including one time he used Facetime on the iPhone to talk to my wife about our cat. His staff is also excellent. Maggie is the glue that holds that place together...shes awesome and also loves animals. Cant say enough good things about Calistoga Pet Clinic. My only problem with them is theyre too far away. We drive 45 minutes each way to come here. Wish they were closer to where I live!

Dr. Franquelin is possibly the best vet Ive ever been to, and Ive been to plenty. He is talented, caring, level-headed & experienced. He has a gift for dealing with humans as well their pets. I have seen him take on challenging cases, but he also advised me to cease treatment in order to preserve my cats dignity (I should have listened to him!). I wish I still lived in Calistoga so I could entrust my current pets to his care. I gladly recommend him and his practice (great staff!) to anyone.

Dr. Franquelin is the best vet Ive ever had the great good luck to find for my animal friends. Hes compassionate, creative, experienced, balanced. He keeps current on breaking news in veterinary medicine. He hires cheerful, knowledgeable staff. Is wonderfully gentle, and an inventive problem-solver. He always balances treatments with the animals quality of life. I drive 40 minutes for the peace of mind in knowing my buddies will get the best care possible.

They are about the well being of your pet and you. Some vets I am have been to are just worried about money and put you through all this paperwork ahead of treatment. Entire staff was awesome and although they never met my cat or I. They treated us like old friends.
