Russell had done a great job assessing my foot and the bio mechanical and balances. Hes the first person that I thought that provided good explanation and knowledge of what was going on with my feet. As a chiropractor I have worked on many feet but there is always something more to learn. The process that Russell uses to determine the right type of orthotic for your foot is unparalleled because the goal of his work is to correct and restore the function of the foot and not simply manage a dysfunctional foot. I am currently working with Russell with my orthotics and Ive learned more techniques to improve not only my feet but the biomechanics of my patients, I highly recommend Russell and his work.

All people arent the same, all orthotics arent the same. Im not sure everyone needs orthotics but if you do theres no one better than Russell Pate, the Shoe Doctor! I had pain in the lateral arch of my foot and a computer-customized human-tailored orthotic by Russ fixed the issue. There are people who do their jobs but Russ has mastered his. With well over 20 years of problem solving foot pain and having experienced his work first hand, I wouldnt think twice to choose him over a conventional Dr. Custom care, imo, is the greatest credential. Go see Russ!

Ive been working on my feet since I was 14. Most of the time I wore heels because Im only 4 11". Recently, my feet started to have pain when I didnt wear heels and then pain when I wore heels that never used to cause pain. I went in to see Russell and he told me exactly why my feet were in pain. He also told me that one foot was smaller than the other, that explains why one shoe would always feel uncomfortable. His exams are very affordable, less than $50. Im almost 30 years old so this exam is for any age. I cant wait to get my orthotics this month.

I highly recommend The Shoe Doctor. My 13 year old son has been plagued with foot problems since he was very young. As he has grown, his feet have begun to physically look odd and his pigeon toed gate more pronounced. Russell took the time to explain his condition in a way that both my son and I could understand. Best $39 I ever spent. Bring your favorite hiking boots and shoes and get them assessed for fit. Stand on the 3D foot-scanner and learn way more than you expected to about your arches and how to halt (and maybe reverse) any developing foot problems. Russell is a super nice guy and spends plenty of time giving comprehensive answers to all your questions. Highly recommend.
