Earlier post: I had my intake appointment this week. The doctor and the hygienist were both very courteous, professional, and thorough. I felt very comfortable in the office and felt I was being taken care of in every respect. The X-rays that were taken were the most comprehensive set Ive ever had taken; from every angle possible. They are also digital, which I was happy about, because that means less exposure to radiation and the x-rays can be easily emailed should I relocate to a new area and need to have my dental record forwarded elsewhere. The dentist also took some photos of a few of my teeth using a tiny camera, so she could show me a few problem spots by projecting the photos on a large screen in front of me. I felt that my teeth were thoroughly cleaned by the hygienist and the gum pocket screening (to check for gum disease) was completed as well, which many dental offices dont bother doing. I just re-located to San Diego and feel confident that Ablantis Dental will continue to be my go-to dental office in this area. Bonus: While sitting in the dental chair, there is a large screen with relaxing photos of tropical beaches and other beach areas, which is soothing while at the dentist! UPDATE: Ive since had two cavities filled and some other minor work done. I also had an in-depth discussion with the Doctor about options for crown replacements, materials used, and avoiding metals which can be toxic to the body (including mercury, but not limited to just mercury). I felt supported and reassured during the procedures I had done this week. Dr. Claudia asked me a couple of times how I was doing, sometimes sang along to songs that were playing in the background, and talked to me about what she was doing. All procedures and the rationale for them were clearly explained ahead of time and again, i was shown digital x-rays on a large overhead screen. I will be getting my crowns replaced and feel I can trust the doctor and her staff. Ive experienced other dentists in the past who were not trustworthy in that they lied about the materials they were using and did unnecessary procedures (gingivectomy, etching a healthy tooth to "fill in" an indentation that was not problematic, which ultimately comprimised the enamel) in order to make more money. I feel confident coming to Ablantis Dental and have no fears that such things will occur here. I expect only quality and ethical treatment. They even sent me a "post-op" email after the fillings with instructions and information about what to expect for the next week or so. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Dr. Claudia Cortadi is a very knowledgeable doctor with kind hygienists. Ablantis Dental staff treats your mouth and teeth like their own. The staff is friendly, courteous, kind, cheerful, clean. Everytime I walk in they seem to be ON TIME! which is very important to me when i am taking time off work to be there. The equipment is futuristic and pretty much a pain free experience. If you have anxiety about going to a dentist - come here and they will prove that regular dental check ups can be enjoyable. I appreciate the big t.v. screen that shows me pictures of my teeth immediately after they take a picture. HD quality to help understand their explanations for further procedures. Follow them on Instagram and you might just find yourself on their instagram page being silly with the dentist! She is smart, silly, beautiful and whole-heartedly cares for her patients. I have no problem referring anyone to Ablantis Dental.

Dr. Cortadi and her staff are the best!! They are always friendly, professional and courteous. From the front desk to the dental hygienists, everyone in the office is skilled and knowledgeable - they all work well as a team. There are no surprises with Dr. Cortadi. She and her staff always provide a full assessment of the treatments needed, including a breakdown of what is covered by our insurance and what is out of pocket. Dr. Cortadi is a master at her craft. My husband and I value her recommendations, and trust that we will always walk out completely satisfied with her work. With her state of the art equipment and her superb skills, she can fully replace a crown in 90 minutes with no temporary crown or follow up visit needed. With our busy schedules, that type of service is invaluable.

What a good experience ... After seeing a mail out, that I usually dont pay much attention to, the words "Friendly, Gentle and Caring Dentist and Staff" there was something in the smile of the Dr on the mail out that made me believe that ! I was not disappointed. My wife went for first appt. and was so please with the entire staff and the happiness that seemed to fill the office that I made an apt the min she got home ... She does not have google account, and I had to use my daughters gmail e-mail to post this review for both of us ... But all we can say is we were very happy, and wanted to pass that review on to anyone looking for a good dentist and staff.

Dr. Cortadi has been the dentist for my 4 kids and myself for the past 12 years. I cant say enough great things about her compassion, and reliability and being so down to earth with her patients. She is thorough and supportive and an excellent dentist. We have been to so many dentists in Carmel Valley and North County, and many of them find many issues to fix that are not "real issues". Dr. Cortadi is beyond that, she treats what she finds and leaves the rest, and is honest and trustworthy, which is a valued trait that we have finally found in our family dentist!! We highly recommend her.

I cant say enough wonderful comments about Ablantis Dental and Claudia Cortadi! I feel like I am at home in her office. Her staff is amazing. They make you feel special and like you are a friend not a patient. Claudia is beyond awesome. Her engaging personality, beautiful accent and caring gentle way set her apart from other dentists. She is honest and explains everything in simple terms. Shes also reasonable about cost and will work with you on payment terms. Ablantis Dental is altogether top notch!

I cant say enough about Dr Cortadi and her staff. They make going to the dentist an absolute pleasure!! I grew up, Im sure like many others with horrible experiences and painful encounters in the dental chair. Dr Cortadi is wonderful offering highly qualified professionalism with the care and honesty you would expect from a best friend. The BEST dental experience I have ever had. Please if you know that youd like a lovely and smiley office staff, professional experience, and the comfort of the best dentist office around. It behooves you to call and schedule your 99$ initial xrays and teeth cleaning today.
