I never understood why people wold say "Go To Gardena Memorial If You Want To Die" Now I know. To Begin, When you walk in the ER there is a window with 2 to 3 people behind it. Im guessing a Nurse and a registration person. Not only do they not greet you, they turn away from you or look at you in a degrating way hoping you wont come near the window. Then like somekind of money hungry corporation the girl in the window asks for insurance card or medical. WOW instead of asking how im feeling or if I need any assistance or a wheelchair she says "Insurance or medical?" Once I give her my Kaiser card she rudely asks "Why didnt you just go to Kaiser" SERIOUSLY? SERIOUSLY? ok past that part. Theres a little hispanic nurse short curly hair, she hid her name badge in hopes that I wouldnt see her name but it doesnt even matter im sure by her statute everyone will know who this is. Not only am I explaininv my pain to her shes shinning me off and chewing her fruity Gum in my face talking to the registration clerk in spanish. Upset as I was i asked if she could pay attention to me. She rolled her eyes and continued popping her Gum. As I exited what appears to be the triage room i heard her squeeky voice say "pinchi pita" now i may not be a perfect translator but Im sure that wasnt a compliment. So i said excuse me qhat did you say? She said "Wait outside we very busy today" now I know she was lying since the lobby was empty and she had time to be online and talking to her coworkers. So after waiting for 4 hours someone comes and rudely asks me for a copay. And this is where i have a problem. I havnt even been seen and you tryna get my money. In the pain I was in and with the frustration I had from my experience with the triage nurse I went to the window and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told to wait. Then after another 20 minutes of waiting they tell me the supervisor is in a Code. So i ask for their names and everyone refused to give me names. I called my son and had him drive me to Kaiser. Which is probably what i should have done to begin with. Do yourself a favor unless you are going into cardiac arrest and taken against your will stay far away FAR FAR away from this place. For I believe it is the Home Of Satan! And all his Demons. Their slogan is "Making Your Life Our Priority" yeah right, Making my money your priority is more like it!!!!

Why is there not a zero star rating or a thumbs down? On November 4th, I was in a car accident. I was hit on my side, my head and and face hit the window badly enough that I couldnt remember what happened in the car accident until weeks later, slowly I started remembering piece by piece. I couldnt get my words out, when I thought I was writing my information down, I was not writing what I was intending to. I had a severe headache and nausea that day, I was transfered to the memorial hospital of gardena where they just checked my vitals twice and was sent home, really had to walk home. I told them I wasnt feeling good, I wobbled and stumble all the way home to Manhattan Beach blvd. My doctor wasnt able to see me until a week later. I told him what happened, my symptoms and the consistent reacuring headaches, pressure, nausea and pain and swelling. Its already a new year and Im still feeling this way. I apparently had a concussion, my doctor, family/friends in the medical field are shocked on how unprofessional my experience was. They didnt do any CT scans or any other tests to see if I was injured or any of the normal, mandatory procedures that comes with a car accident and my symptoms. Meanwhile, I just found out today, that I have a disc bulging out of my back due to the car accident. I received a pretty hefty bill from the hospital for just being there and nothing else. Im prior active military and before this, my husband was in the Army, we traveled alot, had kids so we had to seek the hospital alot. By far, different states, this has been the worst service I have ever received. Usually, hospitals check back up with their patients to see how they are doing, I have yet to recieve a call, mail or email. I tried contacting to complain, that specific line, no one answered and I cannot find an email to complain on this matter.

I had a very bad experience here I had my son here February 2016 I came in just to make sure everything was fine because I was experiencing a little bit of bleeding after being checked by one of the nurses the bleeding became worst and I kept telling her every time she checked me she was being to aggressive and was hurting me i kept telling her I wasnt due for another 2 weeks thats why I wasnt dilated she insisted that I just get a epidural to make the baby come but I wasnt feeling any contractions nor did my water break every 5 mins she would return to the room and tell me I needed the epidural if I want my baby to come I asked to just go home and wait for my baby to come natural but they would not let me leave I stayed for at least 14 hours and the next morning I was told that I have to get a c section because my baby was to big he was only 6 pounds 11 ozs after being weighed after my c section I was unable to care for my baby and none of the nurses would help me they told me I had to do it on my own if it wasnt for my sons dad he would not have been taken care of properly I was not taken care of properly I was left with poop on me and ended up popping my stitches trying to clean my self so my family could come visit this was suppose to be the most amazing time of my life because it was definitely depressing and a week full of tears I would never advise anyone to have a baby at this hospital

Is it possible to leave a zero star rating? Filthy facility and incompetent idiot admissions staff. I understand the wait due to having 1 doctor and 3 nurses working an overflowing (3 people to a small room and beds and chairs up and down the hallways) ER full of people that are either in awful pain, suffering from mental illness and being generally very sick. The administration does a terrible job staffing, whether the medical staff is understaffed and overwhelmed or the stupid woman in admissions is too busy socializing and primping herself to do her damn job. I had to hunt her down (of course she could hardly be bothered to be at her desk) to ask for paperwork, turn it in and provide insurance information. They saw fit to keep our address to bill us but not the insurance to bill them first. Their billing service is equally awful. I cant say whether or not the actual people working the their accounts are actually rude because, no matter what time or how many times I call, I never get to talk to anyone. I left them the info 2x and still I get 2 bills for several thousand dollars in the mail. They left all sorts of people in pain and misery not only in their hallways but also when the patients arent even there anymore. Horrible place.
