****BEWARE*** DR. SHOOLMAN WILL KILL YOUR DOG IF YOU GO IN FOR DENTAL WORK***** I was referred to Dr. Shoolman by a friend.I recently took my two little malteses in for dental work. When I left his office I brought home one of my dogs and paid for the cremation of my younger dog! First he passed the procedure on to a less experienced Vet without advising me. And then I was told that during the procedure after the anethesia she was left unatended and when they found her she had stopped breathing was blue! I dont know how many people this has happens to, but I had my dogs teeth cleaned before and she never had any issues. The worst part of my experience was the after math and the way Dr. Shoolman handled it. He became RUDE, DEFENSIVE, said this happens all the time , stated that in his practice at least one dog a month will die of complications, and the icing on the cake was when he said " at least your other puppy is alive and doing well." I asked him for his liability insurance which he didnt supply and when I went to pick up my LIVING Puppy he didnt even have the decency to meet with me in person, he had his rude receptionist handle everything along the with the Vet who performed the procedure. Oh and last, he was kind enough to waive the fees for my dead puppy but he made sure I paid for the cremation! So there you have it, if you still feel like hes a good vet just remember you take your dogs there at your own risk because he will run, hide, lie and cheat to make a buck!

Do not go to this pet hospital "Camino Pet Hospital" it is a rip off... They will try to sell you everyting they can to make a dollar. They say they care for your dog or puppy but they really only care about the bottom dollar. I took my puggle there today for his first shots and they charged everything they could when i was there. The doctor even gave me flea medicine to take home and when i was ready to leave they wanted an extra $100.00 for it. The second set of shots they said were going to be almost $90.00 plus it already cost us $60.00 for the first visit. The only rearson i went there was we purchased our puppy at barkworks in mission viejo and they said to go to camino pet hospital. They are all working togetehr to make money, not to care for your dog. I would never go to them again and i hope everyone will read the real reviews before they decide to go here. I really hope this helps others. There are plenty of pet hospitals and clinics that are reall great and really care for your pet.

Dr. Shoolman is a very thorough vet who has been in practice at this location for more than 20 years. I work in cat rescue, and often have run-of-the-mill illnesses needing medication. He can quickly diagnose and prescribe medication. One of my favorite things is that he carries chewable tablets for many common medication, which some vets dont. If you have any pets who fight you during fluid medication administration (which, by the way, is normal, unless it becomes extremely violent after several days of attempts and you are then no longer willing to adhere to the treatment plan) the chewables are an excellent option. My foster is enjoying his medication as though its a chicken-flavored treat! Happy with my experience, and while certain vet treatments here seem more expensive than usual (surgery, for rexample), I cannot recommend Dr Schoolman for highly for lesser ailments.

The woman at the front desk is one of the most miserable people Ive ever met. very unprofessional, what business owner would want someone who rolls their eyes at customers and is rude to them. I wont be going back again because of her. I also told whomever i booked my appointment with i was strictly going in for the one shot needed for my dog, and when i got my 130 bill the rude woman at the desk tells me how when they took my dog to the back to weigh him they also examined him (without my consent) figure it out. The vet has always been great and very well educated however its people like the lady at the front desk that will ruin your establishment.

Doctors and staff are truly grade A. They know you and your pets. Their care and opinions are genuinely administered and expressed, straightforwardly, with dignity and with the absolute best interest of all involved. You and your furry family members are not treated as a pay check or a statistic. You do not have to follow up with them, they will call you (on weekends and evenings) just to check on things! And Dr. shoolman, well words cant express how good he is. Medical Docs for human treatment could learn a thing or 2 from his deamonor alone. Great place!

Dr Oneill is amazing but Dr Schoolman is an arrogant and rude man who tried to upcharge me. I moved to long beach so anything that isnt an emergency would be handled closer to my home. When my dog was sick I took him here and he tried charging me extra for things my dog didnt need and had a horrible attitude. It takes me an hour and a half to drive one way, the last thing I wanted to do is deal with him.

Dr. Shoolman is the best of the best; always spot on with diagnosis and treatment; and the staff is always friendly, supportive, very professional, and nice. I have been bringing my Corgi here since she was a puppy ( over 11 years). It is really worth the extra drive knowing she is in the best hands possible! There are vets closer to home but my comfort level is with this office!

Our Yorkiepoo has been coming here since he was pretty much born. Great staff. Ive had other dogs and wish I was able to bring them here before. They are honest and dont take advantage like alot of other places. Other great thing is they have a emergency number you can call, describe them the issue and they will inform you with any info and help. Two thumbs up.

Start to go when Dc Mac Donald was the vet unfortunately she left. But I still went there they had my fill since my pet was a baby. But the staff as become rude and the vet condescending, and the price everything is over price and dont ask for a prescription for an online med order you will not get-it . will not go for my next pet

I wish Camino Pet Hospital were also a place to treat humans since the care received by the vets and staff are exceptional. Even though I do not reside close to their office, my dog and rabbits care are too important to go anywhere else that might be more convenient. I am grateful to all who work at Camino Pet Hospital.
