I brought my dog, Rasso, for a second opinion to Dr. Speas, who claimed he is able to repair his leg’s fracture. For that purpose he inserted a pin inside the bone and the joint, and so began the nightmare for Rasso and us. According to my research this pin technology, besides being an old method, is absolutely not appropriate for a tiny, six pound dog with very tiny bones. Instead there is the plate method, which is screwed in the broken parts and holds them together. Therefore there were many complications and Rasso was very close to lose his leg, but two further surgeries in the Animal Specialty Group hospital have saved his leg. This whole process lasted six months, and it cost us $12,000, which was from our savings for a planned home renovation. If Dr. Speas would have cared about my dog and told us that he doesn’t have the expertise, the cost of one surgery in the Animal Specialty Group hospital would have been just about $4,000. Finally in his lawyer’s letter he says: “Mrs. X knew that I am not an orthopedic specialist…,” and that he informed me of all possible complications and noted there is a possibility the procedure will fail (which is a lie!). This means: 1) Mr. Speas admits he performed a surgery that is beyond his expertise. 2) Mr. Speas expects from clients to sense his knowledge and expertise limits, and don’t rely on his words. “… a crooked leg is unlikely to greatly reduce the value of the dog unless it is a show dog…” was the answer to my claim that my dog’s leg is crooked, his joint is damaged, he is not able to take long walks, and will be limping his whole life, and in accordance to ASG sometime in future he will possibly need another surgery. Hence pet holders have little chance in court, I would be VERY CAREFUL when choosing a veterinarian. Under California law should your dog die because of vet’s mistake he owes you only the market value of your dog. According to the court decision Mr. Speas didn’t have to pay me any penny for his mistake.

This is the most wonderful veterinary clinic I have ever been to, they truly impressed me from the moment I walked in. Dr. Wehbe did an excellent job in helping diagnose a problem with my cat that arose from the error of another doctor at another clinic. She took her time to administer the proper tests and spoke both to me and my cat with great care. My cat’s condition involved nerve damage caused by a poor dental cleaning at a completely different clinic, who left me with no answers when I reached to them when the problem arose. Dr. Webhe confidently and knowledgably took the matter into her own hands, offering tests and solutions that were not at all offered at the other clinic, finally pinpointing the clear steps for treatment and further diagnosis. She even went the extra step to reach out to her friend who is a neurologist, offering to call me the next day with additional information and advice to add to her already thorough treatment plan. When she did call, her response was informative and let me know that she would be involved until my cat heals... I felt like the entire staff cared about my animal like their own, and the waiting room was filled with wonderful pets and their happy owners that outwardly spoke to one another about their trust and long time great success with this clinic. Quality here is truly over the top. I will never again take my cats to any other office. Dr. Wehbe, and their famous Dr. Speas (who has an area wide reputation as a beyond excellent vet) and the other doctors and entire staff are trustworthy and the best hands to put your pet in.

I truly can not speak highly enough of this office. We have been coming for years and recently one of our treasured greyhounds was diagnosed with bone cancer. From the diagnosis through the ups and downs of the quickly degenerative disease they were there for us. Dr. K was truly phenomenal and always took her time with us or called back if we had questions. The front office was exceptional too, from fitting us in the schedule, getting meds and offering every option that might help our situation. In the end we had an unexpected emergency and the office was approaching closing. Gwen of the front staff ensured we could get in and see a vet. Our regular vets, Dr. K and Dr. Speas were away at a veterinary symposium but Dr. K called and we spoke about the options. Dr. Amezcua talked us through our options but it was clear it was her time. Sara and Jess who assist the vets came and said how sorry they were and we never felt rushed. Our family has felt from the beginning of the diagnosis to the end that this experience could not have been better for our dog or us as her caretakers. We were respected, informed, heard and truly cared for. As for the financial aspect, I feel they are quite fairly priced and I have found them priced less than other vets we attended previously. I know the care my pets receive there is truly the best -- especially their knowledge regarding greyhounds. They are not like other dogs in so many ways and their experience with Greysave and other rescued greyhounds is unparalleled.

I found this place after having a bad experience at another Vet Clinic. My experience here was 100% perfect. The price was reasonable and the service was perfect. All the staff are super nice and the Vet was the best! They took the time to get previous medical records from the various places I have been before seeing my dog. The Vet was very caring and you can tell he enjoys his job and wants to help your pet. He took the time to explain everything to me and made sure I understood the treatment directions. He also answered all my questions with grace. The Vet also took the time to personally call me later to make sure the treatment was working (which it was)!

This was our pet hospital until this incident. One of the doctors not only charged me for useless tests but also misdiagnosed my pet. after contacting the owner, he strictly went by his doctors side, even though I told him that I took my dog to another hospital, where they told me NOTHING is WRONG with my pet. At least they could have reimbursed me some of the money, but NO effort whatsoever. NEVER going there again. Would NOT recommend. I have a NEW pet hospital now.... and they are 1000 times BETTER than these. Its not very far from them, and if you REALLY love you pet, I would recommend you go to MONTROSE PET HOSPITAL on HONOLULU.

Professional, courteous, kind and efficient toward both people and the animals. They dont nickel and dime you like some vet clinics and believe me that is important to my family these days. They always are able to take care of any problems our pets have and are very efficient about it. We feel very comfortable going to Crescenta Canada Pet Hos. Prior to finding this vet, we had a heck of a time with other vets/clinics and the extra fees and also trusting what was going on. You definately can trust the vets and staff at Crescenta Canada.
