I was referred to Dr. Suh by my medical team. Initially for issues with sleep apnea. I found him to be incredibly thorough, answered all of my questions (and I had plenty of them) and was incredibly knowledgeable. I am a medical professional, work as a nursing administrator and have had some challenges in the past with dental procedures. Dr. Suh took the time to study the numerous challenges I had with my teeth and overall structure. I had been suffering from daily headaches for four years. By the time I met him, I had full medical team working towards finding the answers for the chronic headaches. He created a 3D mold of my teeth and jaw structure. He told me he would study it and then would come back with recommendations. On subsequent visits, I was truly in awe that every observation he had from these studies was correct. He was able to give me the full detail of how my severe grinding had contributed to the headaches, I started to show signs of fractured teeth and was beginning to lose a few molars because of the poor dentition. I have been someone that goes to the dentist routinely. If I had a cavity, it would get filled (very task based), Id get a cleaning and then be asked to return in 6 months. The fillings werent lasting very long and were needing to get replaced within a year or two. Dr. Suh took it a step further. He gave me the following analogy. He said, "if in your house, you have a leak that is damaging the paint on your wall, how many times are you going to ask a painter to paint over it? At what point in time will you take the time to find out what is causing the leak? When do you call the contractor to come in to look at the house structurally?" And that is exactly what it was. My issues were much greater than just fixing a cavity. By the time I met him, I had had 3 molars extracted because of severe infections. I can honestly say I was overwhelmed by his proposal to me. It took me several weeks to process all of what he recommended to me. It was major restorative work, but I understood that this was what I needed in order to help preserve the health of my teeth going forward. I had a maloclussion, severe grinding, daily headaches and repeated cavities. I went knee deep into my own research and found out that his approach is very innovative and there are few dentists in the state with his skill set. Dr. Suh and his team met with my husband and I on several occasions to answer all of our questions. I have now had multiple procedures and am thrilled to report that I am seeing a reduction in the daily headaches. I am also being complimented daily on my new smile! His staff has become like family. This entire process has been heavy for me because I have had a tremendous fear of dental procedures. They are such empathetic people. They have coached me through my fears and have helped me in ways I cannot even explain. His assistant Veronica is a gem. She is so knowledgeable and a true extension of his talent. Their work together is perfect. Their office manager Sarah has been great at always answering all of my insurance questions, helping to find the appointment times with my hectic schedule and making my husband feel so welcomed. This is by far the longest review I have ever written. But just exactly how do you thank someone who has helped to change your life? From the bottom of my heart, thank you so so much for all of your time and patience Dr. Suh. I will be eternally grateful.

If you are a women and young I highly suggest you DONT go here. He will belittle you and treat you like your are stupid. Ive spent over $3,619 on "fixing" my teeth but only resulting in physical pain where I havent eaten hard food in 3 months. Feb. 14, 2017 Initial Visit Never had such a thorough inspection of my teeth I was very impressed. Dr. Go was very kind. Feb. 15, 2017 Dr. Julie Thach did an excellent cleaning. Mar. 3, 2017 First time meeting Dr. Suh. I felt as if he has sexual harassed me and said inappropriate things. He did one crown, 3 fillings in one day. He was very stressed and did not keep his cool during the procedure. He didnt let me take micro-breaks. He forced me to keep my mouth open the entire two and a half hours it took. I gave a verbal complaint to Sarah the office women. Mar. 10, 2017 My temporary fell out, I called on a Saturday night. No answer. Extreme pain. Finally answered on Sunday. Touched my painful bare teeth and I screamed in agony. He blamed me. He said he was busy with church. I was crying I was in so much pain. Mar. 24, 2017 Cemented crown and worked on 2 more fillings. Dr. Suh was yelling at the assistant to pass things, which he often does. I accidentally took one of the tools. April 14, 2017 2 fillings. Dr. Suh other assistant (man) checked me out. Very uncomfortable. Dr. Suh told me "Your only job is to keep your mouth open its not that hard." April 27, 2017 Since March I have sensitivity on my upper right. He ignores it. Dr. Suh isnt concern. He tells me it will go away. May 2, 2017 I couldnt take it anymore. I was hoping that all people were good and I toughed it out but I couldnt take the verbal abuse and blaming from Dr. Suh. I switched to Dr. Go. Dr. Go LISTENED to me. He cared about my pain. May 9, 2017 Last visit with Dr. Go. I made the DUMB mistake of paying everything up front. As a result I had no choice but to go through with the procedures. Ive NEVER experienced the DAILY pain I have now thanks to Dr. Suh. If you are a women and young I highly suggest you DONT go here. He will belittle you and treat you like your are stupid.

Upfront I would like to say that my intent is not solely to complain or disparage, but to give any patient researching dentists a clear and honest reason to pause before considering Dr. Suh or his practice for your specific dental needs. Long story short we all have a natural fight or flight response triggered sometimes for reasons unknown – whether by situation or by personality. This response was triggered during our first appointment and confirmed by the second. I regrettably ignored mine and suspect that if I hadn’t – I could have avoided whatever physical nerve damage I am experiencing in my lip now from the first encounter, as well as the unprofessional behavior inflicted upon me by Dr. Suh during the second. I am a U.C. Berkeley graduate, I have been in the military 24 years, I have deployed to Iraq & Afghanistan, and therefore I have been in many tense situations. But to this day I am a little dumbfounded with regard to my two experiences with Dr. Suh and the visible anger and aggression exacted upon me by this dentist. I would say that maybe this experience with Dr. Suh was an anomaly, but my instincts tell me this is probably not the case. Therefore, if you are a current patient, or are considering becoming a new patient, I implore you to go with your gut when it comes to this dentist.
