Both my partner and I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Thein. When it comes to dentists, there are three things that bother me: unprofessionalism, pushy sales methods, and needles. I cant avoid the needles, but Dr. Thein is great for the other two. Hes a consummate professional, always positive and kind and thoughtful. And- he doesnt try to push expensive treatments like most other dentists. Dr. Thein provided a prioritized list of recommended treatments, and left it to me to decide whether and when they would be done. I had a crown done last week, and I am very happy with both the results and the process. I decided to wait a while until I could afford the other crown, which I do indeed need. Dr. Thein didnt argue with my putting off the second crown or try to push me into doing it sooner. I like that he respects my decisions. I will be going back to his office for the second crown at the end of this year. My partner has high anxiety about dentists, but Dr. Theins office did a great job of managing his fears. He ended up very happy with his treatments, which included a crown. If you or someone you love has fear of dentistry, Dr. Thein is a great choice. The whole office is professional and pleasant, and managed very well. I never have to wait a long time to get in the chair. Its not like some offices that double-book the dentist. Really, the only complaint I have with Dr. Theins office is that it isnt closer to my home. But I cant blame him for that.

Dr. Thein and his team are very professional, friendly and organized. They have a fool proof reminder system in place, which I really appreciate as regular cleanings are booked 6 months ahead and I would never remember that. I really appreciate their transparent approach, you can see all your problems on camera and they have nice realistic models to explain the procedures. Also, they work with ones budget, which is huge. Dr. Thein is a very good anesthesiologist, so if you are pain sensitive, this is a place to go. They even pre-numb the gum before giving the Lidocaine injection! I have been through some pretty medieval approaches in the past, so this was a really nice surprise. Their hygienist is gentle, attentive and very thorough. Its a surreal experience to have your teeth brushed for you, but it makes the whole visit feel almost like spa treatment. I guess its a consolation prize for people like me, who always walk away with some kind or another dental project pending. I have been going there for over a year now and had some major procedures done. Thus far I have been happy...down to the chap-stick re-application throughout the procedure so you don t leave the office looking like a monkey. I suppose they are expensive, but you get what you pay for. I highly recommend Boston Dental Care.

Dr. Thein is an amazing dentist! I have an extreme dentist phobia since I was a child and had put off seeing the dentist for a bit... Then when I realized my daughter had a cavity, the terror became real, i had to take my precious daughter to the person I FEARED THE MOST. I did my research and found good reviews of Dr. Thein. So I set up appointments for my daughter and me. My daughters experience was the way I idealized the visit going. She had her fillings taken care of and she is looking forward to seeing the dentist again! The doctor was so gentle and the staff was so supportive of her while the work was happening. As for me, I have been a busy mom and have had a busy career... Yup lots of excuses for putting it off. I expected to have judgment passed while I was in the chair, but none. During my visit, when he noticed my anxiety escalating, he looked at me and said "Ive seen worst". With that phrase my fear/anxiety melted away and I knew I was in good hands. I would highly recommend this dentist to anyone. Had I known of Dr. Thein before, I would not have waited so long or been afraid :)

My husband and I highly recommend Dr. Thein for all of your familys dental care. You will be warmly welcomed into his office by the Doctor and all of his wonderful staff. He has a beautiful and comfortable office. His practice has the look of more expensive treatment, but is no more than others. Dr. Thein listens and discusses treatment options with you by providing all of the benefits or downsides. He goes beyond what other dentists will do to be sure you are comfortable and your treatment goals are reached. He takes the time needed to be a perfectionist in his work. Dr. Thein is up-to-date in the latest dental care, as well as his office has the newest equipment. I first went to Dr. Thein as a "dental rescue" after failed treatments at several other places. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Thein every six months for the past eighteen years. Thats before the age of finding people on the internet. We were brand new to California, and found Dr. Thein by driving by his office, and we are sure we found the right dentist. We have received excellent care for all these years and would not think of changing dentists. I have had preventive care, and a couple of "maintenance issues", crowns replaced and such. Dr. Thein does an excellent job, and his fees are reasonable and fair. The office and practice are well-organized, clean, and pleasant. It is a good place to be. Dr. Thein and all of the staff at Boston Dental Care are always competent, friendly and kind. In eighteen years there has never been an exception to this, and I think it speaks well of Dr. Theins character and leadership that he attracts such a good staff to his practice.

The worst, just a heinous fraud. Notice all his implant training is only a few years old. He used my mother in law as a guinea pig during his training time. A fifteen thousand dollar bridge - now broken and useless. Kept her in an inverted dental chair in weekly appointments spanning six months for appointments as long as four hours. My mom is left with one single tooth and a bridge that she must hold in manually while eating and since Thein took all her money, she has no money to fix it. My mother in laws health will be affected for years to come a result of the pain and suffering and resulting toothless condition. Read closely, of course the first visit is free - lure you in... If you want to suffer equally from this hacks learning curve, go ahead and go. Otherwise, stay away!!!

Dr. Thein is an exceptional Dentist who is constantly remaining current on the latest techniques in Dentistry and Cosmetic Dentistry. I cannot emphasize enough how important this continuing education is, and it has helped my wife and I through some very difficult situations over the last two decades. He also follows visits with calls to make sure that all is well which is greatly appreciated. In addition, Cindy is brilliant in handling complicated billing situations, which is a major relief for anyone who deals with insurance companies. Aryana is a uniquely cheerful, gentle and skilled Dental Technician who adds to the relief in an otherwise challenging profession. Together, they all coordinate to make an unbeatable team, and we are very fortunate to have them in our area.
