PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE unless you are ready to say goodbye to your loved one. Well where to sadly begin….On a Saturday afternoon, after moving here from Texas three weeks in, our five year old female Pomeranian was brutally attacked by two big dogs. She was in a state of shock and we had no idea how much damage had truly been done, with no choice and no direction on what vet or Urgent Care center to take her too, in a state of madness I picked the only one that look decent and was as close by as possible. Seeing that “VCA” was in front of such a hospital I thought we might have a good chance on our side. That day we were told that she would need surgery and to be opened up in order to see all the internal damage that was done. We agreed, as any pet lover would, to do whatever needed to be done to save our little angel. The next day waiting on pins and needs we were told “she did great through surgery and looks like any damage done was treated and is doing remarkably well.” Well seeing as us the idiots, or shall I say the non vets, not knowing neither here nor there and only hoping to trust in what was said, did just that. Our hopes were high and our prayers, so we thought, had been answered. The next day seemed like forever and we waited until we could hear the words, “she is ready and you can take her home tomorrow,” unfortunately that wish never came true. We were credited for the FIRST $3000.00 without a bat of the eye after a few days in “recovery” we get the call asking for the rest of the $3500.00 and how that was payment was going to be made. At the time of the phone we were unable to just give info on the payment and we didn’t have access to it right away. My husband assured them that we would have no problem paying the bill since he would be getting a huge bonus in about a week and that would definitely cover the bill. A robotic “ok Ill let the Dr. and financial manager know” was made and a hang up to follow. Coincidentally four hours after this conversation was had, THE Dr. calls and says we have bad news, the worse possible scenario that we were avoiding has happened. They had JUST found bacteria in her abdomen. To sum up probably the worst phone call I’ve received it meant she is basically not going to make it, we can open her up again and try and cease the problem but that surgery alone may kill her. So if you would like to fork out another $7000.00 and take that chance we are willing to do so but no guarantee she will make it through. I hate to think that Vets, Clinics and other places that offer any kind of medical help being human or animal would do and work like this, but it happens and Im sure we were not the first and will not be the last. What is worse is that $8500.00, later we still lost our little angel and still are responsible for the bill. I truly believe that they took advantage of our undying love for our baby and raped us the of the years we had left with her and our wallets.

Funny how after I left a honest and detailed review about the treatment from one of your staff, that you found it necessary to remove the review. I will make this real short and to the point. My wife and I brought in our 12 year old Pitbull PNut for some issues, ok since they (VCA) had free exams why not give it a shot. Well we get there at 12 noon Friday got to see the doctor, he said something about Blood test, Urine and a X-Ray of her chest. Ok according to the free exam coupon it showed all that will be done during this exam, did not say that it would cost extra. Blood and Urine $300, X-ray $912.00 ok we did not have that kind of money in pocket to that our fur baby got treated. Well we saw that they have a wellness plan, ok good deal. I looked it over and found that it would cover the blood and urine work as well as the X-Rays. Sounds reasonable enough to be able to get things done at least while we were still at the VCA Hospital. The young lady that was helping us went and spoke to the nurse that took us to the exam room a older Blonde hair lady. I could see them discussing something and the young lady looked like she was being scolded by the older lady for even asking if we could use this plan. What I did not see but my wife saw was the older lady taking her hand and gesturing with a back and forth motion across her throat. The young lady look sad when she returned, by then my wife was pissed and sad lets go. So it seemed to me that the required procedure that they wanted me to spend money on could have been covered by the wellness plan and I could have found out what was wrong with my baby. I was left sitting in my car in tears because I was denied treatment for my dog Pnut. I am a Honorably Discharged Veteran of The United States Marine Corps and to be honest I was treated with no respect nor was my wife and my Pnut. I dont know maybe this place is a money pit seems like it to me, did not want to honor a pet wellness plan that we were willing to purchase. I sure would hate to say the refusal was based on race and economic status. I sure would like to hear what VCA has to say about them not accepting the Wellness plan that they have in their hospital. How many others have had the same experience and did not say anything. I am not that kind of person I am going to tell it. No one should ever be treated like that ever, by any business. From the outside the building look great but looks can be deceiving, because of this one staff member treatment, and not have the common decency to turn around and look us in the face and tell us why she did what she did.

***PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE GOING INTO THIS HOSPITAL!!!! Please for the love of god do not take your animal here! It is so horrible what they did to my dog. They have interns that work on your animal.... In July 2016, Rocky a small Pomeranian, was six months old when he broke his right arm. I was devastated. Not even I have broken a bone in my life. I went to the VCA not knowing any better. Rocky had vaccinations done here so thats where I felt I needed to go. Boy was I wrong. What a horrible procedure you idiots did leaving a different and loose screw in the plate. It was half assed basically. (See image below) I continued to change Rockys cast at the VCA. After six long weeks, Rocky had X-rays to see how his arm was healing. They did not show me his X-rays and they encouraged me to keep his cast on for another two weeks (little did I know they butchered his surgery). Immediately after visiting with the VCA for six weeks changing his casts, I decided it was time to find a vet that actually cared. I felt something was off with the VCA. Thats when I found Westchester Veternarian via Yelp. Rocky had an exam with Dr. Yoo and thats when I found out he suffered hip dysplasia. My dogs hips were so weak, he used his front legs for everything. At eight months, Rocky broke his left arm. Thankfully by this time, I had found Dr. Yoo and he performed a clean surgery. I was informed of possible loose screws in the right plate done by vets and interns at the VCA. Sure enough he was damn right. Rocky would need to have surgery AGAIN on his right arm because the lack of care from the VCA West Los Angeles. I went to the VCA to speak with the manager about the loose screw. I felt I had been robbed and most importantly my baby was suffering. Bryce Hershenou, the manager at the time who was leaving his job at the VCA in just two days came to speak with me. When I showed him the X-rays. He laughed at me and told me it was completely normal. Were you high? Ive never felt so disrespected as a woman. Its now July 2017 and I received new X-rays. Rocky will have his second FHO surgery and the removal of the screw and possibly a new plate in his right arm. But only with Dr. Yoos care because he is the only vet I can now fully trust. AS FOR YOU VCA, what the hell did you do to my dog? You put in a completely different screw than the rest that is now about to perpetrate through my little boys arm. When I get back to LA this week. You will hear from me. I promise. 0 stars if I could.
