Let me tell you a little story about my pet named Bow. Close to the end of my contract with Banfield and already decided to change vets, totally unsatisfied that each visit coincidentally would come to about 200 dollars. Its uncanny how that happens isnt it ? Not having found another vet yet and needing a check up badly, that is when I brought my new pet a female corgi named Bow for a check up. Well, I reminded them that I was leaving after my contract was up so I just wanted to make this a pay as we go visit. What I got was some one telling me my dog had tumors in her eyes. Freaking me out and prescribing over 300 dollars of medicine. Not only didnt Bow have tumors in her eyes, but Banfield began taking money out of my account after my contract was over. Calling the headquarters in Portland I was told "So Sorry" in a mocking tone. Continuing with "You signed a contract and you owe us this money". These people are crooks and they dont give a damn about you or your animals. It is unacceptable to make someone so upset for no reason and to steal their money. They continue to hassle me to this day and that all happened over a year ago.

If I could give negative stars I would. I disregarded their low rating when I first bought a puppy plan with them. DONT BE LIKE ME! Dont ignore the poor rating and reviews. If I could time travel I would slap myself hard in the face for subjecting my dog to their care. The staff is dishonest. The medical care is sub-standard. They will lie to your face and its very disturbing that any adult in any job would blatantly lie the way they do. One instance I took my dog to get checked out for a problem and the vet didnt offer up any advice or prescribe any medicine to fix his ailment. The next day I took my dog to another Vet and after running the same tests as Banfield determined he needed 3 medicines. Within days my dog got better. This is only on example of several I have had in only 1 year.

I really didnt like this vet. They quoted me $300 for a problem and then ended up charging me $1,100. They are a corporate vet connected with Petco and although I felt the individual vets were okay people they are obviously under a lot of pressure from corporate to sell sell sell. They kept trying to sell me their stupid pet insurance even though I told them over and over again I didnt want it. Their pricing was not transparent and was in fact deceptive, but I felt bad for the individual vets who are probably totally disempowered individuals with no real say in how the place is managed. Avoid.
