I have been taking my dogs to this vet for about nine years. I have had nothing but positive experiences. While all vets are expensive, Parktown is pretty reasonable and many of their prices are much lower than competitors. Money aside, I love the staff and the vets. Dr. Long Goulart literally saved one of my dogs life, and charged me half what the emergency vet was going to. She has rescued him on several occasions from all manor of self inflicted injuries. Dr. Thur performed some very complicated surgery on another of my very ill dogs, and in doing so was able to extend his life for another very precious four months. Dr. Fichtenberg has also given check-ups to and treated my dogs, though luckily they have not needed to see him for anything major. :) All of the veterinarians in this office are competent and compassionate. I trust them completely with the well being of some very important family members. I moved to the East Bay six years ago, and I still make the drive to Milpitas for vet care, because I have not found a better, more trustworthy place to go.

This is actually the second time I have been there both times I had what I thought was my "dying cat " in my arms and I have to say that both vets are great both times now they ended up giving them a shot the first time was a cold with my young cat Cristy who I was sure had distemper but after the shot of antibiotics with in a week or so she was better. This time was harder and we still dont know exactly whats wrong with Siamon but whatever it is he responded well to this shot and started eating again as soon as we got home. Both vets were caring loving people who could see what I was going through, and did all in their power to help. I cant say enough about how good they were to me.

Ive been with them for over 20 years. The new group of doctors are fantastic and very knowledgeable. My dog loves coming there and is excited to see the staff. Calling me a day or two after a visit for my cat who was seriously ill is just an example of how much they care. They are well experienced. Dr. Long is super and most of my friends always want to see her even though the other two doctors are well qualified and caring. I always recommend Parktown and always will.

Amazing staff! Dr Amy Long took care of my dog for so many years and always took the time to explain the results and options to me. The staff even reached out to me in one of my hardest days when i had to put my pet down, which is far beyond i ever imagined they would do. They have great hours I was always able to work around. The prices are very reasonable and they accept care credit which helped for major surgeries.

A Private User

Took my dog here, $50 for a exam to basically be told nothing is really wrong (she took his temp, felt his stomach, and said that if things acted up to come back...). Tried to sell me a shot and a tablet (both of which do the same thing...). Got the tablet, $14.50 for just one small tablet... Dont think Ill be going back...

Love this vet. Super helpful, has separate entrances for dogs or cats to help keep stress levels down. Very accommodating staff. Theyve been treating my cat very well, helped mitigate his urinary tract issues and greatly improved his quality of life.

Parktown is a typical money farming vet. They havent hurt my dogs yet, hence the 2 stars, but are notorious for pushing the most expensive treatment plan and trying to get your dog in for a visit when all you need is a prescription refill.

Well I took my dog n for a reoccurring ear inf. I thought there was gonna be more problems to come when she gave me a medicine that hes had in the past, that didnt really work. So its back to the Dr he goes.
