The staff is courteous & well intentioned. However, they do not measure for center of eye and distance between the eyes. Frame selection is limited. Several errors occurred. First, the wrong prescription was sent to the lab. Second, the correct prescription was read incorrectly. Attempts to get correct lenses & frames took from October to the end of January. After the third visit to my eye doctor to have both prescriptions & lenses read Yuens lab erred again. By policy Yuen does not accept returns. They made an exception and charged a $20 re-stock fee. Additionally, the number of staff is so limited that the office is closed at lunchtime, making it impossible for clients to take care of business. Staff meetings are also held at random hours without notice during business hours. Their considerable courteous & patience, unfortunately, are undercut by inconsistency of measurement protocol, lab deficiencies, and irregular hours.

Dr. Yuen has been my eye health care specialist for over 15 years. I find her very knowledgeable and thorough, personable, and dedicated to her patients well being. She and her staff "go the extra mile" to ensure I understand my vision needs and my vision benefits. The eye wear frames offered in the office provide a wide variety of style to choose from, and, Ive never had to look elsewhere for good looking contemporary frames.

She leads a very strong staff of caring eye professionals who are there to make sure you can see your very best at all times. I dont do personal reviews, but for Dr. Yuen, I am making an exception. Especially if you live in the greater Grand Ave. area of Oakland, you cannot have better access to top notch eye care.

I have been seeing Dr. Diana Yuen for at least 15 years or more. Diana has always made sure my needs were met. I changed from hard contacts to daily disposable colored contacts to monthly disposable contacts. I have purchased sunglasses, reading glasses, glasses to use with my contacts on, you name it. Dianas staff is always professional and courteous and friendly.

Friendly and professional service. I brought in 2 pairs of glasses to get fitted and the woman who helped me (Danielle) was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. Both of my glasses now fit my face and I couldnt be happier.

I have been going to Dr Yuen for 25 years. She is professional and knowledgable. Her staff is helpful as well (especially when you have to move appointments around). I would not go anywhere else.
