DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! They do not love animals. All what they care about is your money! If i could i would give them 0 stars. My bird got infected. So i went to this vet. They Avian Doctor had off. So another Doctor look at my bird. I had a beautiful Pearl cockatiel baby that was tame and hand fed, just couple of months old. I had to fill out a form and sign it. The doctor come took my Bird out of my hand and went to the back room. She came back without my bird. I ask her for an estimate, how much would they charge me to heal my bird. They gave me a estimate of $1050!!! I am a student, there is no way i could afford $1050 dollars for my bird!!! I didnt agree and ask them to gave me my bird back. The Doctor (who isnt a avian Doctor) told me that if i cant afford it she will help me out. This was her words: "if you like i will help you out and i will take your bird to my house and care for her, but if she recovers she will be mine!" My heart felt so much pain in that moment. I told her NO. It is my bird and i want her back immediately. They told me that they cant release my bird back, unless i paid the examination fee of $50. $50 for what???!!!!. They did NOTHING!!!! I didnt want to pay the $50 and they told me that i am not getting my bird back. So i paid the $50. They release my bird. 10mins Later my bird die in my arms. This place is the meanest, corrupted Vet ever. Please do not bring your Pet there. All they love is your money not your pet. I have never saw a doctor like that.

Heres a fact: having pets costs money. I have a geriatric dog, and hes cost us a lot money in testing and medication. I want him to be comfortable and well cared for. Im always careful to ask about the suggested tests and politely decline anything that seems like its too $ and optional, but I suck it up and pay for the necessary stuff. Ive never gotten a hard time for this approach from this vet. Ive always had decent care here from both docs, and Ive even double checked their recs online and found that they are totally within reason. The staff has always been respectful and attentive. I dont understand all the fuss on here. If theres a personalty conflict, go elsewhere. Sometimes our beloved pets die. I see reviews of vets where its always the vets fault anytime an animal dies. Just like human docs, they do their best and they should get paid for their services. Anyway, this vet is fine. They are not hard to get into, and the cost is about average to other vets Ive checked out. I gave them 4 stars because when Ive tried to order medication from an online pet shop, the doctors prescription can take while a while to get. WHat Ive learned is that Raymond Ave Vet actually has very competitive pricing if youre getting more than 12 pills, so now I just get the meds from them.

This animal hospital has great doctors. My dog had an attack of pancreatitis and we were so worried about her. Dr. Hsuan was there at the time and she immediately knew what to do in order to get our dog back on her feet by the next day. She did not try to inflate the bill, like some other reviewers have claimed. She explained the purpose of each aspect of the treatment and it all made sense and for that reason I was happy to pay the bill. I might also add that compared to other vets I have been to the prices at Raymond are quite competitive. After reading some of the bad reviews I have to say that Im surprised. Vet bills are expensive. Unless you have pet insurance, you could easily end up paying way more for your pets illness than for a human member of your family. Thats just a fact of life. And sometimes our pets die even though we take them to the vet. Thats usually not the vets fault - its just that our pet was too sick for the vet to do anything. What is shocking to me is that people think that when their pet dies at the vet that they dont have to pay their vet bill! Of course you have to pay the examination fee even if no treatment was done. The vet has spent their time looking at your pet and you have to pay for that. Just like human medicine or any other business.

Raymond Ave. vet is where I take my 2 dogs and 2 cats for shots, medical help, boarding, etc. They are wonderful. The front office staff is always courteous and helpful, and the vets are always knowledgeable and kind. We have weathered sickness and cat fight infections. I always feel confident that Raymond Ave. Vet will take care of them (and me). I also occasionally use their pet washing and grooming services as well as their boarding area. They ALWAYS accommodate me for overnight boarding in a pinch and even honor my request for the larger cage so my dogs can stay together (they would be devastated if they were separated!) Oh, and I love how they send me email reminders when my animals are due for certain shots. Otherwise I would forget!!! I highly recommend them!

Dr. K has been a godsend to my last 2 dogs. Acupuncture for CoCos hip dysplacia lengthened her life. When he retired in Monrovia, I was saddened and had trouble finding a good vet. Then I got a dog who has seizures; medicine was the only suggestion I got, and this changed her personality. Then a friend told me that Dr. K had opened a practice in Pasadena, so off we went to see him. Paloma now gets regular acupuncture treatments and hasnt had a seizure in a year!!! And no side effects. I think Dr. K is the greatest and the Raymond Avenue Animal Hospital Staff is all terrific!!!

I was willing to give them chance after chance, but theyve lost my business forever when they overcharged me for cat food. First Dr. Kay never returned my calls about my pets blood test results. Second, he completely missed something from the test result. It was only after I asked a nurse some questions that she pointed out the problem and told me to call the next day to see what can be done about it. Of course they never returned my call! Last but not least, they overcharged me for cat food. Take your business someplace that cheaper and better! I am.

The doctor is awesome. I took my little Pomeranian Gypsy here for an eye test. She gave me some great advise on a supplement and some brochures explaining my dogs condition. She didnt even charge me for the exam. This past Saturday took my Pit Bull there for nail cutting and an ear infection. Unfortunately I need to have her sedated on next visit for ear cleaning because she busted out of her muzzle, so my nice reasonable bill just ballooned... Womp womp. Not their fault though. Its expensive to sedate a 70 pound dog. GREAT STAFF TOO!
