Standing in the waiting room at the SMC ER about to have my 4 year old admitted for a cut on his tongue (ah the joys of a playground swing), I decided there must be a better option than hours of waiting and decided to ask Google who was nearby. The closest option was MCMC and at first glance I saw a lot of stars from good reviews. With that as a good initial start, I called, explained to the nurse what my needs were and a few moments later Dr. Borris immediately had my confidence and his 30 years of experience were clearly on display. The 2 preview care centers both wanted us to go to the ER so they could sedate and then get a good look at the cut likely to be followed by stitches. Based on my description however Dr. Borris assured me that was huge overkill and offered to take a look. Less than 10 minutes away we signed in and were seen promptly. The staff was friendly and helpful. The office does not feel like you just walked into the medical office version of the Taj Mahal (ie. If you want a marble floors and harps playing keep looking), but it was definitely clean and professional looking. Dr. Borriss approach was a good balance of kind, but firm. Its hard to reason with a 4 year old in pain and I felt he did a great job with it. Because of the obvious emotional trauma my little boy was refusing to let anyone look at his mouth and properly examine him. Dr. Borris spoke with him kindly and gently, but like removing a bandaid we needed to get this done quickly so I held him while the Dr. gently used a tongue suppressor to check his tongue and teeth. As the Dr. expected the cut on his tongue, was while scary, would heal well on its own. In fact stitches would have made his recovery longer and harder. Bottom line, if my family or I need medical assistance Dr. Borris and his team will be our first call. Further knowing that their focus is quality care with a eye toward good value is a huge plus in todays over-priced medical care world. Put another way if you want the benefit of 30+ years of common sense medical care and advise you cannot go wrong.

I needed to do my physical exam for work and so my boss called ahead of time to ask the price. They told her $70. So I went and had it done, and when I went to the front desk to pay the girl said it was $110. I told her we called ahead of time and they said $70 and she said I also had to pay for the visit. So I did and then called my boss and told her. My boss called the clinic and they said the girl at the front desk was new and she messed up. So I had to drive back to get my money back. And one of the nurses was rude when I said that I shouldnt have had to spend my gas money to drive back to get my money. I am never going back there again and as far as their service goes I do not recommend this place. Worst experience Ive ever had at a medical center.

I needed to see a doctor on Sunday morning of a 3 day weekend. I’d been here before and was satisfied so I returned. After a very short wait (mostly for me to fill out the paperwork) I went in and saw the Doctor. He was friendly, knowledgeable, took the time to talk to me, told me what was going on, what to do when I left and what to expect. And he was right on. In this case I needed some medication which they had and sold to me at less than my deductible would have been at a pharmacy. I’m completely satisfied again. And for this type of 1 up owie I find it quicker and cheaper than going to my doctor. Oh and BTW they called me 4 days later to see how I was doing - nice touch.

Great doctor but he messed up and his staff is unable to support - I went in with a knee pain he prescribed a medicine and i took the prescription to CVS this was three weeks ago. Last week I saw him and he said i should continue to take my medicine, and when i went to CVS for refill they said the prescription is not authorized for refill and they will be able to get my prescription refill in 5 days. A Pain killer prescription in 5 days what the heck are we talking about here...CVS will fax a request it will be reviewed by the doctor and faxed back and then they will prepare my prescription!!! what year is this 1975??

Dr. Boris and the rest of the team are awesome! I dont think its ever taken us more than 30 minutes, start to finish. Ive never felt rushed either. The professionalism and capabilities of the staff make a world of difference. We use them as our primary care facility, and I dont see any reason to go to a regular doctors office. The one drawback is that weekends, its truly an Urgent Care clinic, so be prepared to come back if you need a scrip refilled or a follow up. Small drawback, and understandable.

We have been here twice now and have been impressed by the service both times. Much faster than going to an ER, and much cheaper. Dr. Borris is very personable, kind, friendly, and understanding. Our wait time has never been more than an hour, and has been as short as half an hour. The staff are all friendly and courteous. They have free wifi, and Netflix plays continuously in the lobby. Overall, a great place to go. I wish I could make them my primary care location.

over the last 16 years have had poison oak "episodes". about once every couple of years i have a really bad episode-i thought maybe last year the doc was just a little "off"-but was seen today for a really bad case-i am completely unhappy with the care i was given-the benadryl that was suggested along with being told the ointments dont really do anything after the first day will definitely keep me from coming back again. i am shocked and to say the very least unhappy.

Dr. Borris was assigned to me through workers comp and was the best doctor I have ever been to. He genuinely cared about my injury and treatment. I wish he had a practice outside of Med Care because I would do anything for him to be my Primary. I was seen for 3 moths there and I have to say to the negative reviwers, that had to of been a fluke visit... Because the staff an Dr Borris were on point and great!

Awesome staff and Doctor when going for the first time. Wait time was less than 30 min to be seen but they werent that bustle so thats probably why. Regardless though, the staff was very kind and the doctor was very nice. Forgot his name but he made me aad even my super shy 2 yrs old daughter very comfortable talking with him. Highly recommend this place to anyone who just needs a urgent care.

I have been to other urgent care centers around the area and waited hours. I have seen the emergency at Roseville Sutter crammed full of sick people waiting hours for help. At this center I was registered by a friendly person, seen by a doctor, prescribed medication, and out in my car in 30 minutes. The doctor knew his stuff and zeroed in on my problem right away.
