Summary: Made my skin crawl. Quest clinic on Professional Drive. This is my 1st ever Yelp review, but I am highly motivated about this. On Tuesday December 1st, 2015 I arrived at the Professional Drive location for a routine blood sample at around 2 PM. I did not phone ahead for an appointment, something I later discovered is almost required. There were a couple of people already in the grimy waiting room. No-one was on the reception desk. I waited 5 minutes, which was my tolerance since a baby was wailing behind the wall. Still no-one on the desk so I waited outside the door on their bench. More patients walk in. After 5 minutes I went back inside. Someone appears in the office, but only to grab some papers. She had on surgical gloves, which is odd for handling papers. Another 5 minutes outside and I check again. Still no-one at the desk. Baby still wailing. I go back outside and wait. More patients walk in. Every 5 minutes I check back inside. Finally someone is at the reception desk, mobbed with the crowd that had been patiently waiting. An argument ensues between a patient and the clerk. It is obvious now that the clerk is one of the medical techs. The job of office clerk appears to have been eliminated! Baby is still wailing. I am getting very uncomfortable. I havent eaten in over 12 hours (per requirements). By now I have a mild headache. I go to the sign-in sheet and find my name had been crossed off. When I catch the med-techs (now clerks) attention, she informs me my name had been called but I did not respond, so I must therefore place my name again at the bottom of a (now) long list and wait another 1/2 hour. I noted that I checked the desk repeatedly and no-one was on it. She replied that she and the other med-tech were servicing patients. I believe her. They appear painfully understaffed. The med-tech clerk was not exactly rude, but was abrupt and obviously under a lot of strain. She also expected me to know the "house rules", which are not posted. I sign in again and go outside to wait some more. Baby still wailing. A couple minutes later a sobbing child is walked outside. Turns out to be a ~3 year old being led by the hand by her gentle and caring father (from what I can tell). I cannot guess what procedure was being performed on her. By now I had been at the clinic for over a half hour and my name was still at the bottom with a long line of sick looking people ahead of me. The waiting room was still grimy and painfully unadorned, repulsive rather than inviting. By now my skin was crawling. I had no confidence these people would be able to take samples of my blood without giving me HIV or hepatitis or simply a nasty infection. I finally listened to my gut and simply drove away, blowing my appointment. I will get my blood sampled somewhere else. Douglas Baty retired and still healthy 68 year old.

Everyone who works there is super rude, told us there was an hour wait, we left to the safeway to get some water, came back to tell us we lost our spot and had to start all over, waited another hour, then tell us theyre not seeing anyone else until 2 hours later after lunch, yelling at the other patients that their insurance doesnt work in front of everyone....we just went in there to get blood drawn for my pregnant wife but they treated us like we were POWs....never going there again even if it were to save my life.

This establishment is lacking at best. Everyone basically ignored the customers. No one was talked to or even acknowledged until right before they went back to have whatever testing done. I will never go to this location again. The one on Scripps may be a little further but the the experience is far beyond anything that the Professional Drive location could even fathom.

These reviews surprised me! I have been to this location a few times and have had no problem at all. The staff is polite and I am usually in and out pretty quickly without an appointment. No complaints from me :)
