Everyone wants to be healthy, active, and pain free. This is especially true in the neighborhoods of Hillcrest and Mission Hills. Boasting two medical facilities, a prime location next to Balboa Park with its sports, classes, running and biking trails, three health focused grocery stores, and several gyms, its little wonder that the community is also home to some of the top clinics and wellness centers in Southern California, such as Function First, Karma Relaxation Spa, Holistic Hands and the Life Within Center. The Life Within Center, located at1452 University Avenue, is owned and run by Dr. Marc Gottlieb. With a clientele of 600 to 700 people visiting every single week, Dr. Gottliebs office is one of the largest in all of San Diego County. Dr. Gottlieb graduated from UCSD with an honors degree in Psychology, and received his doctorate in 1999 from the Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose. He knew he wanted to practice in San Diego, so he quickly returned after graduating and opened his office the same year here in Hillcrest. With a large parking lot outside, entering the office you walk into a large waiting room. Rows of comfortable padded red chairs line the mottled tan walls as spry and exceptionally cheerful assistant greets you with a smile that lights up the room. The focus of the clinic is on relieving the tensions and dysfunctional compensations modern living places on the body that prevent the bodys natural healing processes. Dr. Gottlieb is a tall and energetic man in his late 30s with a deep tan and athletic build that exudes a confidence and charisma that immediately helps to put you at ease. He specializes in chiropractic medicine and Chiropractic Care for children, automobile accidents/trauma, and athletics.

Dr. Bo and the entire team at Life Within Chiro are amazing. From the moment you walk in the door, youre greeted with a huge smile. Their front desk staff are phenomenal - they go above and beyond to make you feel like part of the "family". You truly cant burden them with questions as theyre always so willing to help and make you feel at ease. I dont think Ive ever had such a warm welcome and felt so comfortable doing something completely new. Id never been to a Chiropractor before and wasnt sure what to expect - Dr. Bo was incredibly thorough in walking through the benefits of chiro and did an amazing job of explaining everything. (He even quizzes you and asks questions throughout so its engaging + helps you retain the information.) Above all, I feel great every time I go there and know that its only the beginning of a lifelong habit. What else can I say? I love this place and am so happy I found it. Highly (!) recommend it and will tell everyone I know to go here.
