Months ago I needed to have a tooth extraction. One of the clerks, Cindy Parra, was in charge of my whole paperwork, she also made the x-rays, and despite the dentist check of my case, Cindy Parra was the one "throughly" explaining to me the options, procedures and prices, in very poor english and to my surprise, also very poor spanish. What language does she speaks then? She insisted it was much better if we paid in advance, and so we did. almost a month later, after eating very little and only soups, I had the extraction not in this location (which we chose for the short distance to home) but in LAWNDALE! Doctor Nora, the specialist, found out this Cindy Parra clerk of the San Pedro office did not put all the stuff was needed in my file, like x-rays, etc., besides scareing me with the wrong explanation of the procedure: she told me I was going to be awake, but unable to move during the extraction. Doctor Nora assured me its never like that, on the contrary, I was to be totally assleep. A month after the extraction, letters start to come stating that I needed to pay my dues, when in reality I paid in full IN ADVANCE thanks to Cindy Parras advice. I sent letters, I called, but finally I had to go in person to tell Cindy to please inform the network and the Lawndale office I had already pay a long time ago, like two months. She tried to intimidate me and my husband, but as we did not respond to that and on the contrary, showed her how upset and frustrated we were, she made a call to the Lawndale office and the main office in Santa Ana, and sounded rather ashamed. We were sure she did not complete her tasks before, when she was supposed to. At least, it seems everybody finally got the info they were missing, and they are not bothering me with threats of sending me to a collection agency. And all this started in FEBRUARY of this year.. can you believe it? Im never going back there, and I do not recommend anybody to go to Bright Now San Pedro Dental.

These people want money so bad they will lie to you about what your insurance covers. I went there today on extreme pain and I have Medi-Cal Access Dental Insurance. When I signed up for Access Dental I was told they cover a lot of the services that I need. I get to Bright Now Dental and they do a bunch of X-rays then tell me my insurance doesnt cover anything except extractions and that they could pull all of my teeth out and give me dentures. Now instead of these idiots telling me that its just their office that doesnt do certain procedures, so I could go to another dentist that does them, they lied about my insurance not covering certain procedures! I hate this place and they are always trying to force people to finance a set of braces! This office can barely do fillings if you need them. No emergency extractions or anything, they left me in severe pain and gave me some ibuprofen and told me to wait two weeks until they find and oral surgeon to pull my tooth!!! I am finding another dentist ASAP!

Seems like they are racist or just lazy as hell. I scheduled an appointment and came in then they told me they called to cancel it but no answer. They didnt call me at all. I asked her when she call and she said 15mins before my appointment. Why would you wait so late to cancel. They said all they could do was x rays. As I sat down to fill out the paper work all they did was run their mouth to each other. Then she says o we dont take your insurance. So I say ok and I leave. Monday I called my insurance company and told them what happened they said that they should have taken my insurance all they had to do was call to verify. They were just to fat and lazy to do it. If I was Mexican they would have gave me better service. They and very unprofessional and need new people working their. I dont see how they still have a job. I WOULD NOT GO THERE EVRN IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. If your Mexican than your in there like swimwear. They should get closed down because they ate horrible. Never go there

The dentist claimed that I had 12 cavities, 5 of which required porcelain inlays. I have never had much problems with dental health and so I was immediately skeptical. I got a second opinion from Peninsula Digital Dental Arts and they said I had only 2 cavities, 1 of which required an inlay. Furthermore, the after-insurance cost that I paid at PDDA was only $600/inlay and $0/cavity while Bright Now quoted me $695/inlay and $185/cavity! Finally, I paid Bright Now $10 for the .JPG images of my digital X-rays, which I was promised would be emailed to me. I only received a digital file in a dentist-specific format that I could not open. When I asked for a refund, the person claimed that she also gave me a printout (horribly pixelated) and that should suffice instead of the .JPGs we had initially agreed upon. Bright Now is running a scam and they are very unprofessional. I would HIGHLY recommend staying away and/or getting a second opinion. In this case, a second opinion saved me $3,200.

Terrible! I knew before I walked into the door that this was not what I was expecting from a dental office. When I walked in, I was reassured that my assumption was correct. I was met by an aging waiting room that reminded me of a DMV with Judge Judy playing on a TV at an annoying volume. I was seen by a man that barely spoke english who took x-rays in an old room stocked with yard-sale furniture. He told me I might need a root canal. They priced it out for me and sent me out the door - which is fine, except that I couldnt get a cleaning because the hygienist is not in for most of the days of the week. Why then did I go to the dentist? While I am not looking forward to my root canal, I am looking forward to having it at another, more professional and maintained dentist.

When I first began my braces journey, I looked around for the best dentist. I was recommended bright now dental by a friend and classmate of mine. I was given a free consultation. I didnt have insurance and they offered me a payment plan. They provide reminders (which are really helpful if you have a busy school/ work schedule that just seems to blurr the days together) The office has very friendly staff whom are welcoming each time. Look out for Anna at the front desk whos on top of everything! Shes great. Dentist Eric is so proficient, and caring. Ive now been with them for almost 2 years and Ill probably remain there. Thanks guys for helping me smile.

Dont ever come here, while your waiting to be called the staff gossips and you can hear them talk about you or other clients in a rude way. Then they look at you thinking you cannot hear them talk. That talk is not professional nor nice. 7 months after having 4 fillings done, two of them came off. Then they want to charge you again to X-ray your teeth and to make an appointment. Why would you pay for a service you already paid for? Even if you have an appt, you will not be help until 1 hour later. Go prepare. But the service from the Dentists is great!
