My name is Homer. I am nine years old. Oh my, how time flies. I was only eight weeks old when I was taken to Alderbrook for the first time. I was more curious than frightened because I knew, even then, that my parents loved me so much. Dr. Thorne was very understanding and reassuring. He gave me a shot that hurt a little for a very short time even in dog years. I have been going to Alderbrook about twice a year and I have always been treated with respect and kindness. I do like to be respected. After all I can trace my family for seven generation. Once when I was sick, he called home to talk to my parents to see how I was doing. He and his staff really care. I have recommended Alderbrook to my friends in the neighborhood and they are very grateful. Thank you Dr. Thorne and Staff, Love you back, HOMER.

We were traveling through Northern California and our dogs cough was getting worse. Just south of Santa Rosa we decided to take her to a vet and called Alderbrook. They were wonderful! Got us in right away even though Dr. Thorne was in surgery. Dr. Thorne gave Lily a thorough exam that included two phone calls to her regular vet for information and gave her some meds. She was better a few days later. Dr. Thorne and the entire staff were helpful and thoughtful. We love our vet in Phoenix, but we would change to Alderbrook if we ever moved near Santa Rosa!

Our 3 dogs have gone to Alderbrook Pet Hospital for over 14 years. All of them have been comfortable while examined, treated, and boarded. They love the staff and especially Dr. Thorne. Our current dog runs up the stairs to the front door so excited to be there. He walks immediately onto the scale for his weight check. I recommend Alderbrook to anyone who wants a top notch vet for their beloved pet.

This place is absolutely wonderful. They have a common sense approach to animal care. Another Vet has all these "programs" set up and diagnostic tests they insist strongly they need to perform $$$$. Alderbrook has caring, kind, considerate people working there that are not just putting on a phony smile. I trust them with my Dog Maxwell and our Birds Zazu and Pongo too.

Dr. Thorne is the kindest, most gentle person with our dog. Dr. Thorne has seen him since he was a puppy, and I have always been very pleased with his care. His staff is also very kind and considerate. Its easy to make an appt. I have lived all over the country - from FL to RI, VA to CA, and Dr. Thorne rates as one of the best vets to treat my multitude of dogs and cats.

When I go in with Ruby (African Gray) or Jack (Rescue Dog Extraordinaire) or both at the same time, they help me get in the door, checked in, corral Jack for his pedicure, and wrestle Ruby out of her cage to clip her wings (Ruby can be mean) And, its all done with professionalism, good humor, and patience. They really do care and it shows!
