First off i never leave reviews but i am so upset with my emergency visit yesterday in serious pain throwing up all my stomach juice, gagging, couldnt even sip water, stomach pain, migraine, severely dehydrated, felt like I was going to collapse any second. They said sorry you have to wait. Over an hour for sure I honestly was in so much pain I could not even check my phone for the time until i was going to be discharged, i just kept on asking how long, and that I felt like I was going to collapse so they just had me sit in a wheel chair and wait more in serious pain. There was only a few nurses that seem to actually care about their job. Even one of the securities were more helpful then some of the nurses. I had literally said excuse me and waved my hand to many nurses when I was in serious need of help and was completely ignored until I pressed nurse assist button with alarm. Even one nurse had a disgusting attitude and stink face when first walking in my side of the room I was staying at, and even had the nerve to have a smart ass answer when i asked what type of medicine she was giving me, and even got frustrated when she had put a tube by my feet( i was completely unaware as i had my jacket slightly over my head and eyes as the light was causing more pain with my migraine) and as i was trying to get a little more comfortable she freaks out because the medicine she put on my bed by feet, again without me knowing, almost fell. I had even asked this specific nurse to please check just for a pillow and something to moisture my mouth, she walked away and said aloud yeah yeah I would look never came back and instead i hear her and other staff straight gossiping about patients. Wow so professional. And wow dont ever say your feeling stressed or anxious because as soon as I mentioned that all the staff straight stereo typed me and was trying to bullsh** with me not helping and kept on bringing up anxiety. Wtf? Im over here in feeling my worst physical pain getting worse as I wait and they were trying to refuse me medicine for pain having one reason change to another why I wasnt able to, but somehow magically after asking and explaining to different staff for a period of time how bad I was feeling then they helped out. I can go on and on about all that happened but overall beware of the ER and some staff. Very disappointing as I have been helped much better in the past.

I guess you gotta be damn near dead for them to help you. My family member was brought there through the ambulance after having 2 seizures in one day. When I drove there he was sitting in the waiting room. I was pissed! I talked to a nurse about how I felt about him sitting in the waiting area after having 2 seizures she told me to register him BACK in and he can get a bed. So I did that and the lady that registered him in, took us back there and the nurse tells her we gotta wait. Are you kidding me? My family member is basically weak and out of it from these seizures and your telling me he has to wait after he was brought by the ambulance! Just crazy! So we go back in to the waiting area and the nurse comes back and says something to the lady that registered my family member. I asked the lady whats going on and she says the doctor said he now has to wait like every else. Witch would of been a 4-5 hour wait! Oh and let me not forget that they told me I can take my sick family member to another hospital! I flipped at that point. I will NEVER go to that hospital again I will drive 10 hours to another hospital before I go to valley Presbyterian hospital! Rude staff and you gotta be pretty much dead before they take care of you. I will definitely not be having my baby there because if they cant care for a patient that had 2 seizures why the hell would I trust them with my new born baby! Is was only One good staff there and that was the young graud. I suggest if you want to live and be treated fairly then DONT go to this hospital!

I took my son in because he has severe bronchitis and he was having trouble breathing. When we walked into the emergency room there were about 70 (literally) people there. After half an hour there were about 100. We waited for 5 hours with screaming babies, whining toddlers, crying people, moaning people, coughing people, and people talking on the phone for 5 hours before I asked the receptionist how far we were on the list. She said we were about half way down. At the peak I counted 120 people. Every hour theyd do a roll call to see how many people left without treatment because they were sick of waiting. Many, many people left because they couldnt take the boredom, sick people, or especially the babies. The 1 year old next to me was coughing up phlegm wads, hacking in my ear and kicking me because she was miserable. I gave up my seat many times to others because there werent enough seats. I probably stood for 2 hours total. After 6 hours we left and I tried my best to help my son breathe at home. This place isnt a hospital, its a torture chamber. The receptionist and staff were friendly, but two people are not enough for 120 patients if they keep only taking the sickest and everyone else waits in limbo for eternity.

This has been my 14th surgery. All but last one were done elsewhere. I wish I have known about this hospital sooner. Excelent Ortho Dr Hernandez and amazing staff. Nurse Erica was the best. I was having post surgery pain and she called anyone and everyone to prescribe something to control my pain. She NEVER gave up. I felt like I was her only patient. (Which I wasnt). All staff were 100% helpful because they want to be not because they have to be. They made me feel comfortable and kept me there (4 days) until my pain management was resolved so I would be comfortable at home. I wasnt kicked out of the hospital because they needed the bed or I was costing too much. For the first time in my life I wasnt treated as a number in a hospital but as a person. I highly recomend this hospital to everyone. Thank you Valley Presbyterian staff!

In case of emergency you go to the emergency room, but whats the point if you dont get medical attention right away. My mother came in today because she had an allergic reaction. This is the closest hospital in our area, so we came here. When we arrived they made us wait for an hour instead of assisting my mother right away. Then, when she was actually in a room, she had to wait even more before they could help her. The service is horrible. Why do they make people wait if its an emergency? If it wasnt we wouldnt be here in the first place. We the people deserve faster and better service. I been to many other hospitals and their service is the same. Many people dont speak up, and our voices arent heard. We can all make a difference if we all unite and speak up.
