I normally really really liked this vet until recently. I have been given the run around and my pet has been on meds for 3 weeks that dont work obviously because he is still having trouble peeing and when he does its in random places and he howls while tries to go. So I called them back yet again because it got worse and I said Id like to make the earliest possible appointment as he can barely urinate at all anymore and this can be fatal.....cue rude attitude from KELLY. Well you are going to have to call back in the morning. Why? You are open 24hrs.??? I asked if she could please look at the schedule for me to put me in the earliest appointment spot and she told me no she couldnt. Ok?.....so I asked if I could bring him in at opening to see the earliest they could get him in and she replies with a snotty.....I guess. So I decided to ask just one more time because I dont get why she simply could not look at a schedule so I asked again why could she not look at the earliest available appointment for me and she said, I know we are all booked up tomorrow morning and during the day in a VERY snotty tone. Look, if you have an emergency going on say so, if you are super busy then politely ask me to call back. But dont work at a vets office and be so rude and inconsiderate of a persons pet. You are there to help and be considerate that is your JOB. And if I ask you what your name is dont beat around the bush either. If you have the nerve to be that rude to me on the phone then you can have the decency to give me your name when a patient asks for it and you can bet I will be speaking with the manager. KELLY you should work on your attitude and being polite especially when dealing with people worried about their pets well-being. If you cant at least fake 5 minutes of pretending to care then you should go work at a place full of rude people, such as the DMV. Im sure you would fit right in.

I really can’t say enough nice things about Northpointe! We have been taking our assorted and much beloved pets (dogs, cats, lizards, bunnies, chickens and one very tenacious little parrot) to Northpointe for more than a decade. Over the years their various and exceptional vets have done everything from performing lifesaving surgery on one of our chickens (yes…I said a chicken!) to doing routine puppy/kitten shots and wellness checks to helping us through the painful decision to put one of our critters to sleep. Dr Vetri in particular is a truly wonderful vet. Compassionate, highly competent and always willing to take the time talk over any concerns we have. Or even just spend time with you as you babble about how wonderful your cat is while you try get up the courage to let her go to kitty heaven (because the cancer is eating her up). Dr. Vetri was even brave enough to perform her first chicken surgery to save one of our hens with a dangerously impacted crop (try finding another vet around here who doesnt just tell you to lop the hen’s head off and make stew!). The other staff members (receptionists and techs) are also super friendly, helpful and compassionate. They will also routinely go the “extra-mile” to be helpful. For instance a couple of years ago our 18 year old cat, Kali, needed a medication that had to be special ordered. One of the receptionists actually took the time to research online and call around to find us the best price! Without us even asking! In all honesty my only criticism, and it is a mild one at that, is that since they’ve become the only 24 hour emergency vet in town they’ve become very busy. So it sometimes hard to get in to see a particular vet on a particular day—but they will always work with you and get you in to see someone if it is urgent.

I would put a negative star if I could. My beautiful Pomeranian/German Shepard mix dog, Milo, became very sick out of the blue 5/30/16. (R.I.P baby boy) I called to see if I can bring him in and the front desk lady "Kieran" said to and bring him in. When my mom brought him in he passed away right before arriving. I called my mom to see what was going on because I live out of town and she was not answering her phone so I called the front desk again. I politely asked if my mom was still there and gave a description, the lady said yes. Since my mom was so distraught I asked the front desk lady, Kieran, if there was anything she could tell me about what happened or any information she might have. She responded with "Well, I dont even know, he was just already stiff when he got here so I dont know what you want me to say?" I ignored her rude tone and politely asked if the doctors could tell me anything and she said "Look he was already stiff as a rock when he came in but if you really want to come in and talk to someone else" I got really upset she was being so freaking insensitive, my family just lost our dog, she could have been more compassionate. How can you work somewhere such as a hospital and have a bitchy attitude when people have sick pets or pets that might pass away is beyond me.

My puppy was very sick. He was lethargic, vomiting and had severe diarrhea. We knew he was dehydrated due to the above mentioned symptoms. We were worried he had Parvo. After the initial exam , X-Rays, blood tests, fecal smear , intravenous fluids for the dehydration, injection of antibiotics and an Injection of anti nauseam medication and the Parvo test. We were told he didnt have Parvo and that his prognosis was good. He should feel better in one to two days and should make a full recovery. They said his small intestine was slightly thickened but that we would only address that if he didnt feel better in a few days. They recommended we take him home until then. We asked are you sure he shouldnt stay there for supportive care just in case? No, this is an at home, treatable case. So off we went along with more medications for anti nauseam and antibiotics. Paid almost $500.00 & Told to come back in two days if he wasnt eating or drinking .normally. HOME THAT NIGHT AT AROUND 7:30pm. VERY NEXT MORNING ,MY PUPPY IS DEAD. All I can think about is that he suffered needlessly. If there was a better, more capable diagnostician we could have made the proper informed decision

I cannot say THANK YOU enough to the Staff and Dr. Vetri for saving our little Penelope! They squeezed her in last Thursday when we noticed she was very ill and then just went above and beyond to make sure she got well enough to do surgery. Monday Dr. Vetri again squeezed us in to be seen and made the decision to do surgery for Penelopes Pyometra that day! I picked up little Penelope this morning and even though it is the day after surgery she is doing so great! I really cannot say enough positive things about this office. It isnt just about money, they really care about the animals that come through their door. I would recommend them a thousand percent to anyone who has fur babies!
